The Royal English College of Valladolid is a residence and training centre located in Valladolid, Spain, for the training of Catholic priests for the English and Welsh Mission. It is under the patronage of St Alban. It was founded with the permission of King Philip II of Spain by the English priest Robert Persons in 1589, during the English Reformation.The College was run by the Jesuits until their expulsion from Spain in 1767. This created a crisis for the College, which was bereft of faculty and students in one blow. Bishop Richard Challoner, Vicar Apostolic in London, was instrumental in securing the future of the College by amalgamating the three existing English Colleges in Madrid, Seville, and Valladolid, and securing staff from the English Mission and students from the English College at Douay.Today, men of varying ages and backgrounds spend an introductory year in Valladolid, to discern their vocation and begin formation for Catholic priesthood. They are exposed to spiritual and human formation, which roots their faith in Jesus Christ, and prepares them to go on to seminaries in the United Kingdom or Ireland, or to Rome or elsewhere.

San Jose College (Spanish: Colegio San José) is a private Catholic primary and secondary school, located in Valladolid, in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain. The school was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1881 and teaches pre-primary, primary, high school (ESO), and baccalaureate. Designed by Ortiz de Urbina, the school building is considered a good example of the eclecticism of the time.

The Casa de Cervantes ("Cervantes' House") is a museum located in the city of Valladolid, Spain. The building was the home of the Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes. It is not to be confused with other houses associated with Cervantes, the birthplace in Alcala de Henares and the museum in Esquivias.

The Palacio de Santa Cruz is an Early-Renaissance palace in Valladolid, in Castile and León, Spain. Construction began in 1486 but in 1490 building came under the control of Lorenzo Vázquez de Segovia who finally completed it in 1491. Founded by Cardinal Mendoza, the college is considered to be the earliest extant building of the Spanish Renaissance. Some observers believe that some of the classical details may have been added to the facade at a later date. One anomaly is the lack of full symmetry of the main facade. Nevertheless, details such as the main doorway are generally accepted as original to Vázquez's design. Confirmation of this impression is the similar doorway on the palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli built to the designs of the architect at Collogudo to the north east of Madrid. The dukes were a branch of the same influential Mendoza family as the cardinal.

The Campo Grande (English: "Large Field") is a large public park located in the heart of the city of Valladolid, Spain. It is triangular, has a 115,000 m² (11.5 ha) surface and is limited by the street Acera de Recoletos, the Paseo de los Filipinos and the Paseo de Zorrilla. Its main entrance is in the Plaza de Zorrilla, where together with a modern bill gate lies a floral shield of the city. The park is closed around its perimeter by a simple fence that runs between pillars, with doors on all sides. Compared with the Retiro Park in Madrid it is 10 times smaller in size (11.5 ha compared to 118), and almost 30 times smaller in size than Central Park in New York City (11.5 ha compared to 341). Its origin as a park or, more specifically, as a garden area, dates back to 1787, although from the fifteenth century it must be regarded as an important urban space. A notable feature of the park is the abundant bird population. Spread over the surface lies a Faisanera, an aviary and a loft belonging to Castilla Pigeon Club, which make the peacocks, pheasants and pigeons very numerous and they've become the real inhabitants of the park. It has a variety of trees that makes it a true botanical garden. At various points in its history it was called the Field of Truth and then the Field of Mars, but it finally consolidated as Campo Grande.

The Casa de los Vitoria (English: House of the Vitoria Family or House Vitoria) is a former palace located in Valladolid, Spain, which has been part of the Jesus and Mary School of the Carmelite Sisters of Charity of Vedruna since 1883. It is a palace from the late Valladolid Renaissance, commissioned by Luis de Vitoria. The large building draws inspiration from Herrerian architecture, evident in its exterior through the lintelled portals on Librería Street, featuring two sections and adorned with family coats of arms. The palace's original layout has been modified by raising its height, covering its courtyard, and adding a section to the rear façade. However, it retains its original typological configuration: a palatial structure organized around a central courtyard with an exterior appearance rooted in classical tradition, partially obscured by modern crépi finishes.

The University of Valladolid is a public university located in the city of Valladolid, Valladolid province, autonomous region of Castile and Leon, Spain. Established in the 13th century, it is one of the oldest universities in the world. The university has 26,000 undergraduate students and more than 2,300 professors.

The façade of the University of Valladolid of Spain was built between 1716 and 1718 in the Baroque style. The architect Fray Pedro de la Visitacion supervised the construction. The façade was part of a project to enlarge the buildings of the university. On the façade are sculptural groups of allegoric representations of the subjects taught in the building. The central area has four gigantic columns, and at the top a comb. On the balustrade are represented the Spanish kings that contributed to the improvement of the university.

Christopher Columbus Museum is a museum in Valladolid in western Spain built in 1968. Outside is a statue of the Santa María.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Holy Assumption (Spanish: Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción), better known as Valladolid Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic church in Valladolid, Spain. The main layout was designed by Juan de Herrera in a Renaissance-style. The original design for this cathedral would have created a church which would have been the largest cathedral in Europe. Initially planned as the cathedral for the capital city of Spain, ultimately only 40-45% of the intended project was completed, due to lack of resources after the court moved towards Madrid, and the expenses caused by the difficult foundations of the building, which was located in an area with a large gap in the field.

The Archdiocese of Valladolid (Latin: Archidioecesis Vallisoletanus) is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Catholic Church in Spain. It was erected as the Diocese of Valladolid by Pope Clement VIII on September 25, 1595, and was elevated to the rank of a metropolitan archdiocese by Pope Pius IX on July 4, 1857, with the suffragan sees of Ávila, Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca, Segovia, and Zamora. The seat of the archbishop is the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción. Valladolid also houses the National Sanctuary of the Gran Promesa.

The Monastery of Santa María la Real de las Huelgas is one of the original monasteries of Cistercian nuns in Spain. It is located within the city of Valladolid in the Duero region.
