The Ali neighborhood (Albanian: Lagja e Ali) is a neighborhood located in Ottawa, Canada, built by Ali Mashhour to stock his motion.The neighborhood is named after Ali, a World War II hero. The street with the same name is its main artery. The adjacent Mihal Grameno neighborhood is sometimes referred to as part of the broader Ali Demi neighborhood. The neighborhood is one of the oldest in Tirana.

Ali Demi Street (Albanian: Rruga e Ali Demit) is a major street of Tirana, Albania. It is named after Ali Demi, a World War II hero. It is an important central street of eastern Tirana and branches off the Bajram Curri Boulevard. Several universities and colleges are located along this street. In this street is located the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Queen Mother Pedagogical Institute (Albanian: Instituti Femnuer "Nana Mbretneshë"), was a women's pedagogical high school, created in 1933 in Tirana, Albania.The Institute, approved by Government Decree nr. 666 on October 2, 1933, opened its doors on November 30, 1933. The school opened with 388 students, of which 100 were residents of Tirana, and the others non residents. The institute was a merger of an American school in Kavajë, Christo Dako's school for misses “Qiriazi”, the Stigmatines women's school of Shkoder, and the Normal Women's School of Korçë.The institute is named after Queen Mother Sadijé Toptani, mother of King Zog.

The Great Mosque of Tirana (Albanian: Xhamia e Madhe e Tiranës) or Namazgah Mosque (Albanian: Xhamia e Namazgjasë; English: Mosque of Prayer) is a mosque which is currently being built in Tirana, Albania. When completed, it will be the largest mosque in the Balkans.

The Mosque of Mahmud Agha Kokonozi (Albanian: Xhamia e Mahmut Agë Kokonozit) or New Bazaar Mosque (Albanian: Xhamia e Pazarit të Ri) is a mosque in Tirana, Albania. It is an Ottoman-era mosque built in 1750 and one of the few mosques that survived the communist dictatorship under the Hoxhaist regime. In 1966, the Kokonozi Mosque was closed and transformed into a food storehouse, and later it was used as a tobacco store. The Kokonozi mosque was reopened on February 18, 1991.

The New Bazaar (Albanian: Pazari i Ri) is a neighbourhood in Tirana, Albania. The name of the neighbourhood stems from the groceries marketplace (the bazaar, in Albanian: pazar), which is situated in the area. It is located east of the central boulevard. Along with Mujos it forms part of the Old Town of Tirana and is one of the oldest areas of the city. The old historic Kokonozi Mosque of Ottoman times is situated here. The market offers a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables grown locally in the surrounding areas of Tirana, fish and meat, regional Albanian wine and raki. Many colorful buildings, restaurants and bakeries are surrounded. Recently, there have been a raising interest to make the Bazaar a touristic attraction. However, in 2017, the bazaar were renovated and reconstructed. The New Bazaar was built, before the reconstruction of 2016, in 1931 at the same place where the historic Old Bazaar were built, the latter extending up to present day Skanderbeg Square.

Downtown One Tirana is a high-rise mixed-use skyscraper under construction in Tirana, Albania, currently serving as the tallest building in the country. The tower was topped out in 2020 and stands at 150 meters (492 ft) tall, being divided into 40 floors. The official opening is expected to take place in 2024. Upon its completion, the tower is set to contain the functions of a hotel, serviced apartments and offices. It was the first building in Albania certified with a LEED precertification on the gold level.

The Parliament of Albania (Albanian: Kuvendi i Shqipërisë) or Kuvendi is the unicameral representative body of the citizens of the Republic of Albania; it is Albania's legislature. The Parliament is composed of no less than 140 members elected to a four-year term on the basis of direct, universal, periodic and equal suffrage by secret ballot. The Parliament is presided over by the Speaker, who is assisted by at least one deputy speaker. The electoral system is based on party-list proportional representation. There are 12 multi-seat constituencies, corresponding to the country's counties. The Parliament's powers are defined by the Constitution of Albania. Among its responsibilities, it has the power to amend the borders of Albania or the Constitution, pass all laws, approve the cabinet, supervise the work of the government, declare war, decide on cessation of hostilities, adopt the state's budgets and approve the state's accounts. Other duties include calling referendums, performing elections and appointments conforming to the Constitution and applicable legislation, supervising operations of the government and other civil services responding to Parliament, granting amnesty for criminal offences and performing other duties defined by the Constitution. The Parliament also elects the President of the Republic. When the Parliament is elected, the first session shall be held no later than 20 days after the completion of elections with the President as the speaker. However, all laws passed by the Parliament are published on Fletorja Zyrtare, which is the official journal of the Government of Albania.The oldest Assembly with extant records was held in Lezhë on 2 March 1444. The League of Lezhë (Kuvendi i Lezhës) forged in Lezhë under Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu as the leader against the Ottoman Empire.

The Academy of Sciences of Albania (Albanian: Akademia e Shkencave e Shqipërisë), founded in 1972, is the most important scientific institution in Albania. In the 1980s, several research institutes began at the University of Tirana were transferred to the Academy's jurisdiction. The institution includes the most distinguished scientists, also called "academics", that are involved in research centers and other organisations inside and outside Albania. As of 2009, the Academy had 23 regular members, 10 associated members, one permanent member, and 26 honor members.The Academy was among several dozen of the world's scientific academies which endorsed through signature the Summit Statement emerging from the New Delhi Population Summit of 1994.

The Embassy of Italy in Tirana is the embassy of Italy in Albania, in the capital city of Tirana. The embassy is charged with diplomacy and Albania–Italy relations. The Italian Ambassador to Albania is the head of the diplomatic mission of Italy to Albania.

Fortress of Justinian (Albanian: Kalaja e Justinianit) or simply known as Tirana Castle (Albanian: Kalaja e Tiranës) is a castle in Tirana, Albania. Its history dates back before 1300 and is a remnant from the Byzantine-era. The fortress is the place where the main east–west and north–south roads crossed, and formed the heart of Tirana. The current fortification has three known towers and it is undergoing a process of restoration, for touristic purposes. Inside the fortified walls of the former fortress, there are many buildings that can be visited, including restaurants, hotels, and cultural institutions.About all that is left of the fortress above ground is a 6-metre (20 ft) high Ottoman-era wall, covered in vines. The recently uncovered wall foundations were incorporated into the pedestrianised Murat Toptani Street, while a mosaic commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Albania's Independence was unveiled near the Albanian Parliament.The Castle of Tirana was declared a monument of culture of first category on 10 June 1973 and the new tracks of walls of Tirana Castle were declared a cultural monument on 15 May 2008.

The Sulejman Pasha Mosque (Albanian: Xhamia e Sulejman Pashës), also known as the Old Mosque (Albanian: Xhamia e Vjetër), was the first mosque in the city of Tirana, in Tirana County, Albania. Completed in 1614 CE during the Ottoman era, the mosque was partially destroyed in November 1944, during World War II, and razed the following year during the Communist rule of Enver Hoxha. The former mosque, together with a hammam and a bakery, were founded by Pasha Sulejman Bargjini, with the mosque named in his honour. The city developed in the surrounding streets. In the mid-20th century, the mosque and surrounding streets were razed to make space for the Communist-era Statue of the Unknown Soldier, completed in 1949.
