The Mann Center for the Performing Arts (formerly known as the Robin Hood Dell West and Mann Music Center) is a nonprofit performing arts center located in the Centennial District of Philadelphia's West Fairmount Park, built in 1976 as the summer home for the Philadelphia Orchestra. It is the successor in this role to the Robin Hood Dell outdoor amphitheater, where the Philadelphia Orchestra had given summer performances since 1935. It has since hosted artists and touring companies such as the American Ballet Theatre with Mikhail Baryshnikov, Marian Anderson, Leonard Bernstein, Buena Vista Social Club, Ray Charles, Judy Garland, the Metropolitan Opera, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Paul Robeson, Itzhak Perlman, Lang Lang, Midori, and Yo-Yo Ma. Major Philadelphia premieres have included the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Bolshoi Ballet and Orchestra’s production of Spartacus, and Britain’s Royal Ballet’s productions of Romeo and Juliet and Swan Lake. Among the scores of award-winning popular artists presented by the Mann in recent years are Jack Johnson, Ed Sheeran, Phish, Tony Bennett, Mary J. Blige, Roger Daltrey, Bob Dylan, Furthur, Arcade Fire, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Wynton Marsalis, Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, Jill Scott, James Taylor, Damien Rice, Blondie with Garbage, Sugarland and Stevie Ray Vaughan. In 2010, 2011, and 2014, the Mann was nominated by Pollstar, a concert industry trade publication, as "Best Major Outdoor Concert Venue" in North America. The venue has a total seating capacity of approximately 14,000, with 4,743 seats under the roof and over 8,600 outside.

Mastery Charter School Mann Elementary, formerly the William B. Mann School, is a historic school located in the Wynnefield neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a charter school run by Mastery Charter Schools. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1923–1924. It is a three-story, nine bay by five bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Colonial Revival-style. It features large stone arch surrounds on the first level, a projecting entrance pavilion, a double stone cornice, and brick parapet topped by stone coping. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.It was named for Philadelphia lawyer William B. Mann (1816-1896).

Wynnefield Avenue station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located at Wynnefield and Bryn Mawr Avenues, it serves the Cynwyd Line. It is the northernmost station on the Cynwyd Line in Philadelphia.

52nd Street is a closed train station that was located at the intersection of North 52nd Street & Merion Avenue (just north of Lancaster Avenue (US-30)) in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) at the junction of its Main Line and its Schuylkill Branch. Today, these lines are the SEPTA Regional Rail Paoli/Thorndale Line and Cynwyd Line, respectively.

The Catholic Total Abstinence Union Fountain (1874–77) – also known as The Catholic Total Abstinence Centennial Fountain or The Centennial Fountain – is a now defunct ornamental fountain and drinking fountain located in West Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Created as an attraction for the 1876 Centennial Exposition, it was commissioned by the Catholic Total Abstinence Union of America, a religious organization that advocated for total abstinence from alcohol.

Wynnefield is a diverse middle-class neighborhood in West Philadelphia. Its borders are 53rd Street at Jefferson to the south, Philadelphia's Fairmount Park to the east, City Avenue (commonly referred to as "City Line") to the north and the Amtrak Main Line tracks to the west. Surrounding neighborhoods include Bala Cynwyd to the north, Wynnefield Heights and Belmont Village to the east, Parkside to the south, and Overbrook to the west. Its main commercial arteries are North 54th Street, Bryn Mawr Avenue (2200 block), and City Avenue. It is the home of the television station WPHL-TV (MY PHL 17).

Mastery Charter School Shoemaker Campus, formerly William Shoemaker Junior High School, is a historic high school/middle school located in the Carroll Park neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is currently a charter school run by Mastery Charter Schools. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1925. It is a four-story, 14 bay, reinforced concrete, yellow brick faced building in the Late Gothic Revival-style. It features a central projecting entrance bay with Gothic arched door, thin brick piers with decorative caps, and brick panels in a herringbone pattern. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

It was the final time the event was organized by the LPGA Tour; the United States Golf Association (USGA) has conducted the championship since 1953.Louise Suggs, the 1949 champion, won the second of her two U.S. Women's Open titles, seven strokes ahead of runners-up Marlene Bauer and Betty Jameson. It was the sixth of eleven major championships for Suggs, whose lead after 36 holes was four strokes, and extended to seven strokes after the third round.The championship was played in hot weather; temperatures in the first round on Thursday exceeded 100 °F (38 °C).

The Ohio House, or Ohio State Building, is a historic building located in west Fairmount Park, Philadelphia. The house was built from various Ohio sandstones and functioned as the Ohio state exhibit for the Centennial Exposition of 1876. The only other extant exposition structures are Memorial Hall and two small comfort stations; the building is the only extant state exhibit remaining from the exposition. The house was restored for the Bicentennial Celebration in 1976, and leased to Ohio House Partners by the Fairmount Park Historic Preservation Trust in 2006. After extensive restoration, the building was opened to the public in November 2007 and has since functioned as a cafe, event venue and offices.The Ohio House is listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places and is an inventoried structure within the Fairmount Park Historic District entry on the National Register of Historic Places.

Wynnestay or Wynnstay is a historic house, one of the oldest extant houses in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The two-and-a-half-story house was first built in 1689 as the residence of Dr. Thomas Wynne, Pennsylvania founder William Penn's personal physician and first Speaker of the Pennsylvania Provincial Assembly.The land surrounding Wynnestay was developed starting about 1895 with the encouragement of Pennsylvania Railroad President George B. Roberts, and the building of the nearby Wynnefield Station. The house was extensively renovated in 1904, with the addition of a large ell designed by Walter Smedley.The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The home is available for touring by appointment only.

Blockley Township is a defunct township that was located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Incorporated in 1704, the township was incorporated into the City of Philadelphia under the 1854 Act of Consolidation.

Belmont Avenue Bridge in Philadelphia is a historic stone arch bridge located in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1896, and is a single-span bridge. The arch measures 29-foot-wide (8.8 m).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
