Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture

UMBC Training Centers is an extension of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) established in 2000 at UMBC's South Campus in Catonsville, Maryland. UMBC Training Centers provides technical and professional training programs remotely and directly at three campuses to individuals, groups, corporations, and government agencies around the country. The school's administrative offices are located at the Columbia campus at the Columbia Gateway Business Park. The center partners with numerous educational institutions and organizations including the American Council on Education Bowie State University, University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), University of Maryland, University College (UMUC), and the University System of Maryland (USM).

The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (CAHSS) has 22 departments, and offers 30 Bachelor's, 16 Master's, and 6 Ph.D. programs. The college also includes several scholarship programs; the Linehan Artist Scholars Program, the Humanities Scholars Program, and the Sondheim Public Affairs Scholars Program. The college oversees several centers; the Dresher Center for Humanities, the Imaging Research Center, and the Maryland Institute for Policy Analysis and Research.In July 2013, Scott E. Casper became dean the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Casper was the interim dean of the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Nevada, Reno. Casper's area of speciality is history.

The Public Policy graduate program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County was created in 1974 under Chancellor Calvin B. T. Lee. Now known as the School of Public Policy, the program offers the master of public policy and PhD. degrees, and has an enrollment of over 130 students.

The Erickson School of Aging at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County was founded in 2004 by John C. Erickson, with a $5 million gift from Catonsville-based Erickson Living. Erickson Communities now has more than 18,000 residents living in a nationwide network of communities.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is a public research university in Catonsville, Maryland. It had a fall 2022 enrollment of 13,991 students, 61 undergraduate majors, over 92 graduate programs (38 master, 25 doctoral, and 29 graduate certificate programs) and the first university research park in Maryland. It is classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very High Research Activity".Established as a part of the University System of Maryland in 1966, the university became the first public college or university in Maryland to be inclusive of all races. UMBC has the fourth highest enrollment of the University System of Maryland, specializing in natural sciences and engineering, as well as programs in the liberal arts and social sciences. Athletically, the UMBC Retrievers have 17 NCAA Division I teams that participate in the America East Conference.

Retriever Activities Center is a 4,024-seat multi-purpose arena in Catonsville, Maryland. The arena opened in 1973. It was home to the UMBC Retrievers basketball and volleyball teams, which represent the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in NCAA Division I athletics, from its opening until the larger Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena opened on campus in February 2018. It hosted the 2008 America East Conference men's basketball tournament final.

The Albin O. Kuhn Library & Gallery is the main library of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Catonsville, Maryland. It is located in the center of the campus at the confluence of Academic Row and Walker Avenue. The library features 1 million+ books & bound journals (33,000+ current subscriptions), 1.9 million+ photographs and slides, 30,000+ sound recordings, 800,000+ microform pieces, 1,200+ linear feet of manuscripts/archives, 180,000+ government documents, and 100,000+ slides. In addition to the stacks, the Albin O. Kuhn Library also features the Library Gallery, the UMBC Special Collections, the Retriever Learning Center and Math Lab, Resources Learning Center, a cafe, and administrative offices.

The Retriever Soccer Park is one of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County's athletic fields. It is located in the southeastern section of the campus next to the UMBC Stadium, the Department of Facilities Management, and bordered by Shelbourne Road in Arbutus, Maryland. The stadium was completed in the fall of 1998 and included a 120-yard by 70-yard field, press box, automated electronic scoreboard display, and concessions area. The field was renovated in 2006 with permanent bleachers have been added to seat 1,500 spectators as well as the Bermuda grass and irrigation system installations. The Retriever Soccer Park can be accessed off of Hilltop Circle by Stadium Road, and is served by the Stadium Lot (formerly Lot 17), which can hold 900 vehicles.

Bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park is the university research park for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Baltimore, Maryland. The research park has two campuses; bwtech@UMBC North, located just south of the main campus and adjacent to the campus gateway, and bwtech@UMBC South, located in UMBC's South Campus complex off of Rolling Road.

The Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena (formerly the UMBC Event Center) is a basketball arena, concert and multi-purpose event venue on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in Catonsville, Maryland. It is the home of the UMBC Retrievers men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team and serves as a replacement to the Retriever Activities Center (RAC). It has a capacity of 5,000 seats, approximately 1,000 more than the RAC, and is the campus venue for all commencements and concerts. Construction began in March 2016, with an estimated cost of $67 million. Although the venue was originally supposed to be completed in time for the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester and the start of the 2017–18 athletic season, due to delays it officially opened for the February 3 men's basketball game against Vermont.The U.S. professional wrestling promotion Ring of Honor (ROH) frequently used the arena during the period it was owned by Sinclair Broadcasting, which is based in nearby Hunt Valley. This included television tapings during the COVID-19 pandemic, which were held behind closed doors.On April 19, 2021, the UMBC Events Center changed its name to the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena after signing a 15-year deal for arena naming rights.

The Baseball Factory Field at UMBC is a baseball field located on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Catonsville, Maryland, United States. The field is home to the UMBC Retrievers baseball team of the NCAA Division I America East Conference. The field is located adjacent to UMBC Stadium. It has a capacity of 1,000 spectators. Previously known as Alumni Field, the venue was renamed on April 20, 2004, after the university's agreement with player development company Baseball Factory. Prior to the 2004 season, the field underwent a $350,000 renovation which added a new lighting system, playing surface, and warning track. Since 2004, the facility's press box, dugout, and bleachers were upgraded.

UMBC Stadium is a 4,500-seat stadium on the campus of UMBC in Catonsville, Maryland. The stadium opened in 1976. It is home to the UMBC Retrievers men's and women's lacrosse, field hockey, and track and field programs, as well as an alternate venue for soccer. The stadium has also hosted championships for the Northeast Conference in track and field and conference tournaments for the America East Conference in men's and women's lacrosse, as well as tryouts for US Lacrosse's team to compete in the Under-19 World Lacrosse Championships[1]. In 2008, it also became the home field of Crystal Palace Baltimore, a professional outdoor soccer team that announced plans to become a member of the 2010 incarnation of the North American Soccer League. The NASL's launch was delayed due to a controversy between that league and the United Soccer Leagues. Eventually, the two bodies came to a temporary truce, with the United States Soccer Federation establishing a temporary league, USSF Division 2, for the 2010 season only. Crystal Palace Baltimore plays in this league for 2010. However, midway through the 2010 season, Crystal Palace Baltimore left UMBC and hopped to several different stadiums in the Baltimore area. The stadium is part of the a complex which also includes The Baseball Factory Field at UMBC and UMBC's softball stadium and is located across the street from the UMBC Event Center and Retriever Soccer Park.
