WBAL (1090 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Baltimore, Maryland. It is owned by the broadcasting division of Hearst Communications and broadcasts a news/talk radio format. The station shares its studios and offices with sister stations WBAL-TV (channel 11) and WIYY (97.9 FM) on Television Hill in Baltimore's Woodberry neighborhood. WBAL and WIYY are the only two radio stations owned by Hearst, which is primarily a publishing and television company. WBAL is a 50,000-watt, Class A, clear-channel station. Its transmitter is on Winands Road in Randallstown, Maryland. Listeners in and around Baltimore can also hear the station on 136-watt FM translator station W268BA on 101.5 MHz. WBAL is non-directional by day but uses a directional antenna at night to protect the other Class A stations on 1090 AM, KAAY in Little Rock and XEPRS in Rosarito, Mexico. With a good radio, WBAL's nighttime signal can be heard in much of Eastern North America, reaching as far as Nova Scotia and Bermuda. Its daytime signal easily covers most of Maryland as well as the Washington metropolitan area, and parts of Delaware, Virginia and Pennsylvania. WBAL is Maryland's designated primary entry point for the Emergency Alert System.

Milford Mill Road, Slade Avenue, and Smith Avenue are a long road mostly in Baltimore County, Maryland that runs through Milford Mill and Pikesville in the suburbs of Baltimore. The road starts out at the light rail stop in historic Mt. Washington Village in Baltimore city as Smith Avenue, and continues through Pikesville up to Seven Mile Lane before its name changes to Slade Avenue, and the road widens to four lanes. The road is known as Slade Avenue until Reisterstown Road, and from there, its name becomes Milford Mill Road until it dead-ends one block south of Rolling Road in an area known as Windsor Mill. It is one of the most heavily used routes in the northwest suburbs of Baltimore, as it is used for cross-county travel by motorists between the Pikesville and Randallstown areas.

Randallstown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is named after Christopher and Thomas Randall, two 18th-century tavern-keepers. At that time, Randallstown was a tollgate crossroads on the Liberty Turnpike, a major east–west thoroughfare. It is a suburb of Baltimore, with a population of 33,655 as of the 2020 census. As of 2020 it was 72 percent African American. In the 1990s, Randallstown transitioned to a majority African American community.Choate House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Milford Mill is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 30,622.According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.0 square miles (18 km2), all of it land. The true name of the area is "Milford", but the name "Milford Mill" has stuck with the community. The name "Milford Mill" comes from the name of an old mill located in nearby Pikesville along Milford Mill Road.

The Kelso Home for Girls, formerly the Kelso Home and Orphan Asylum in Baltimore, Maryland, was a 19th-century orphanage and school building for girls on East Baltimore Street in the Jonestown/Old Town neighborhood, east of the Jones Falls. It was founded by businessman and philanthropist Thomas Kelso, (1784–1878), a former member of the old Methodist Episcopal Church, and inaugurated in January 1874. Formerly the Towson Family YMCA, it is now the Y of Central Maryland Towson Family Center.

Arlington Baptist High School is a private Christian high school located in Baltimore, Maryland. It was established in 1975, with the first seniors graduating in 1976 and is an extension of Arlington Baptist Church which was founded in 1947 by Peter Bisset. As the ministry grew (it reached its peak in the early 1980s), a lower school was added in 1969 and the High School in 1975. During this time, expansion of the ministry took place and a nursing home, retirement complex and a cemetery were added. Although not directly affiliated, there were other "sister ministries" such as the Peter & John Trustworthy Bookstore, a radio station - WRBS-FM 95.1, and River Valley Ranch (a Western-themed Christian summer camp and conference center). When dramatic increases in medical care occurred in the early 1980s, the nursing home was sold. The film Saved! was based on director and writer Brian Dannelly's experiences at various schools in the Baltimore area, including Arlington. Arlington Baptist School is located just outside the Beltway in Baltimore, Maryland. The name "Arlington" comes from the original area where the church was founded - near the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. The mascot for the school is the eagle. Arlington was one of the first Christian high schools in the region to achieve Middle States Accreditation in the early 1980s as well as the Excellence In Education award from then Secretary of Education, William Bennett. From the mid-1990s until 2004, Arlington participated in the MIAA and IAAM athletic conferences in the Baltimore/Washington metro area, with certain teams such as the men's and women's basketball teams winning the state championship for their conference several times.

Randallstown High School is a public high school located in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It serves students in the Randallstown, Woodlawn, and Owings Mills areas. It is a part of Baltimore County Public Schools. Its primary feeder schools are Deer Park Middle Magnet School, Woodlawn Middle School, Sudbrook Magnet Middle School, Southwest Academy Middle School, Windsor Mill Middle School and Northwest Academy of Health Sciences.

Milford Mill Academy (MMA) is a four-year public high school in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is located on the west side of the county close to the Baltimore City border just outside the Baltimore Beltway.

The Talmudical Academy of Baltimore or TA (Hebrew: ישיבת חפץ חיים) is a K–12 yeshiva founded in 1917. Its present campus, located at 4445 Old Court Road, includes a pre-school building, an elementary school building, a middle school building, a high school building, three gymnasiums, a dormitory, two computer labs, and two study halls which double as prayer sanctuaries.

Linwood is a historic home located at Ellicott City, Howard County, Maryland, United States. The seventeen room brick house was built by slave labor in the early 1800s. Portions of the farm were subdivided into several 3-5 acre lots in the late 1800s, with strict setbacks and provisions to maintain the neighborhood, including banning stores and outbuildings. Keeping the neighborhood character protected is still an issue in present times, with development proposals in 2015.The Linwood Center was opened in 1955 by Jeanne M. Simmons as the Linwood Center for Disturbed Children, with 14 day care students and 10 residents. Children stayed for an average of three years of treatment. In 2012 the center built a $6.5 million expansion to increase autism services to 70 children. The Howard County School System reduced its autism expenses by outsourcing to Linwood with the expansion, contributing $925,000 to complete the project.
