Jackson Hole Burgers, simply called Jackson Hole, is a New York City based chain of hamburger restaurants. Family owned since 1972, Jennifer Aniston was a waitress at the Upper West Side location before she became famous. The location closed in 2016 after 42 years. There are currently restaurants operating in Astoria, Queens, Englewood, New Jersey and 2 locations in Manhattan. The chain was started by brothers Jimmy and Chris Meskouris at 232 East 64th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The name "Jackson Hole" was selected for the restaurant because they found a National Geographic article on Jackson Hole, Wyoming under the floor when they were renovating and they also happened to live in Jackson Heights, Queens.It is said that Donald Trump is a fan. Other fans are said to include Denzel Washington, Derek Jeter, Hillary and Bill Clinton and Diane Sawyer.In the 1990 crime film Goodfellas, the scene at the Airline Diner where Henry Hill and Tommy DeVito steal a truck was filmed at the Jackson Hole location on Astoria Boulevard in Queens, which is a 1950s era prefabricated stainless steel diner manufactured by Mountain View Diners Company.

The Anita Shapolsky Gallery is an art gallery that was founded in 1982 by Anita Shapolsky. It is currently located at 152 East 65th Street, on Manhattan's Upper East Side, in New York City. The gallery specializes in 1950s and 1960s abstract expressionist art, known as the New York School. It exhibits expressionism, geometric abstraction and painterly abstraction. The gallery most frequently exhibits works in oil and acrylic, as well as sculpture. It focuses on second-generation abstract expressionists, while also representing younger artists, older Latin American abstract artists, women artists, African-American artists and established artists.

The Sign of the Dove was a fine dining restaurant on the Upper East Side of Manhattan which opened in 1962 by dentist Jason Santo, which he designed himself.The Santo Family Group sold the 65th Street and 3rd Avenue Property to Related Properties Ltd. who had plans for a mixed use highrise development. Since its closure, it has been considered "one of the lost gems of New York City".Jessica Mitford wrote a less than flattering story about Sign of the Dove in 1977 for New York (magazine). Letters were sent saying Mitford was drunk and disorderly and it turns out the letters were written by someone doing PR work for Santo, and wrote about someone else without getting their permission and said it was her.

The Church of Our Lady of Peace is a historic Roman Catholic parish church of the Archdiocese of New York, located at 239-241 East 62nd Street between Second and Third Avenues in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was built in 1886-87 at the cost of $200,000, and was designed by Samuel A. Warner in the Victorian Gothic style for the Church Extension Committee of the Presbytery of New York. It served as the sanctuary for the Church of the Redeemer, a German-speaking congregation, then subsequently became Bethlehem Lutheran Church. before finally becoming the home of the newly formed Italian Madonna della Pace parish in 1918.The church, which has been called a "gem", is located in the Treadwell Farm Historic District, designated by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1967.In November 2014, the Archdiocese announced that the Church of Our Lady of Peace was one of 31 neighborhood parishes which would be merged into other parishes. Our Lady of Peace was to be merged into the Church of St. John the Evangelist at 348 East 55th Street.In February 2017, the Archdiocese with the blessing of Pope Francis, announced an agreement to sell the church to the Egyptian Christian Coptic Orthodox Church community. The first Coptic worship service was on March 5, 2017.

Manhattan House is an apartment building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. The building is at 200 East 66th Street, just east of Third Avenue.It was built from 1950 to 1951. Designed by architect Gordon Bunshaft of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the architectural style has been described as modernist. The building, standing 214 feet (65 m) tall, was made with concrete, with a facade of white brick. It overlooks a private garden with two sculptures by Hans Van de Bovenkamp. In order to be permitted to build a taller building, the developer donated a strip of land on the north side of the property to widen 66th Street.The building contains many condominiums. Notable tenants have included furniture designer Florence Knoll, clarinetist Benny Goodman, actress Grace Kelly, filmmaker Rubaiyat Hossain, former Governor Hugh Carey, and businessman Frank Hardart, the co-founder of Horn & Hardart.The building is pet friendly.In 2007, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the complex a landmark for its influential mid-century modernist architecture. In 2014, the penthouses were redesigned by Cuban-born interior designer Vicente Wolf. Manhattan House is co-owned by N. Richard Kalikow, a real estate developer, and Jeremiah W. O'Connor, Jr., the Managing Partner at O’Connor Capital Partners, a private equity firm. Both men disagreed on their 2007 renovation project.

The Church of St. Vincent Ferrer is a Roman Catholic parish in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. It was built in 1918 by the Dominicans; the attached priory serves as the headquarters of the Eastern United States Province of the order. Its architecture has some unusual features: above the front entrance is one of the few statues of the Crucifixion on the exterior of an American Catholic church; and inside, the Stations of the Cross depict Christ with oil paintings instead of statuary or carvings. It has two Schantz pipe organs. The church building, at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 66th Street in the Lenox Hill section of the Upper East Side, has been called "one of New York's greatest architectural adornments."The church is under the patronage of Saint Vincent Ferrer, a Dominican preacher from Valencia, Spain. It was made a New York City designated landmark in 1967. Seventeen years later, in 1984, the church and priory, designed in 1881 by William Schickel, were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.St. Vincent Ferrer High School for girls is on its grounds and is administered by resident Dominican Sisters. Members also work in charitable efforts like local shelters and food pantries. They are also involved in interfaith lobbying for affordable housing in Manhattan.

The Barbizon (known since 2005 as Barbizon 63), is a building located at 140 East 63rd Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. It was for many decades a female-only residential hotel for young women who came to New York City for professional opportunities, but still wanted a "safe retreat" that felt like the family home.The Barbizon was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, and was designated a city landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2012.

The 65th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Second Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had three tracks and two side platforms. The next stop to the north was 72nd Street. The next stop to the south was 57th Street. The station closed on June 11, 1940.
