Orange Isle

The Former Residence of Xiao Jinguang (simplified Chinese: 肖劲光故居 or 萧劲光故居; traditional Chinese: 蕭勁光故居; pinyin: Xiāo Jìnguāng Gùjū) is located in front of the Tianma Mountain, in Changsha, Hunan, China. It has a building area of about 350-square-metre (3,800 sq ft), embodies buildings such as central room, wing rooms, and utility rooms.

Hunan University (HNU; 湖南大学) is a public university in Changsha, Hunan, China. It is affiliated with the Ministry of Education. The university is part of Project 211, Project 985, and the Double First-Class Construction.

Zibei Pavilion (Chinese: 自卑亭; pinyin: Zìbēi Tíng; lit. 'Pavilion of Being Self-contempt') is a Chinese pavilion located at the foot of Mount Yuelu, in Yuelu District of Changsha, Hunan, China.

Juzizhou Subdistrict (Chinese: 橘子洲街道; pinyin: Júzizhōu Jiēdào) is a subdistrict of Yuelu District in Changsha, Hunan, China. It is historically the Shuiluzhou Subdistrict (simplified Chinese: 水陆洲街道; traditional Chinese: 水陸洲街道; pinyin: Shuǐlùzhōu Jiēdào) formed in 1950s. The subdistrict has an area of 16.02 square kilometres (6.19 sq mi) with a permanent resident population of about 168,000 (as of 2017). The subdistrict has two villages and eight communities under its jurisdiction. The subdistrict of Juzizhou is located on the east side of Yuelu Mountain and on the west bank of Xiang River. It starts from the Orange Isle in the east and reaches the Yuelu Mountain ridge in the west, connects to the South Campus of Hunan Normal University in the south, and reaches the Juzizhou Bridge (橘子洲大桥) and Fenglin No.1 Road (枫林一路) in the north. There are Yuelu Mountain, Orange Isle, Yuelu Academy, the site of Xinmin Institute (新民学会) and other tourist attractions. There are key universities such as Hunan University and Hunan Normal University. There are National Supercomputing Center in Changsha (国家超级计算长沙中心), Hunan Academy of Chinese Medicine (湖南省中医药研究院), the Changsha Research Institute of Mining and metallurgy (长沙矿冶研究院), Hunan provincial Agency of Democratic Parties, and the Fourth Hospital of Changsha (长沙市第四医院) and other health research institutions.

The Former Residence of Jia Yi or Jia Yi's Former Residence (simplified Chinese: 贾谊故居; traditional Chinese: 賈誼故居; pinyin: Jiǎ Yí Gùjū) was built during the Qing dynasty (1644–1911). It is located in Tianxin District of Changsha, Hunan, China. It has an area of about 2,490 m2 (26,800 sq ft) and a building area of about 350 m2 (3,800 sq ft). It contains buildings such as the gate, the Grand Preceptor Hall (太傅殿), the Grand Preceptor Temple (贾太傅祠), the Xunqiu Cottage (寻秋草堂), the Old Tablet Pavilion (古碑亭), the Stone Tablets (碑廊), the Grand Preceptor Well (太傅井).

Fubuhe station (Chinese: 阜埠河站; pinyin: Fùbùhé Zhàn) is a subway station in Changsha, Hunan, China, operated by the Changsha subway operator Changsha Metro. It is the largest subway station in Changsha.

Hunan Normal University (湖南师范大学) is a provincial public university in Changsha, Hunan, China. It is affiliated with the Province of Hunan, and co-funded by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. The university is part of Project 211 and the Double First-Class Construction.

The Young Mao Zedong statue is located on Orange Isle in Changsha, Hunan. The monument stands 32 metres (105 ft) tall and depicts Mao Zedong's head. The Hunan People's Government began building it in 2007 and it was completed two years later, in 2009. It took more than 800 tons of granite mined from Fujian to complete.It is 83 metres (272 ft) long, symbolising Mao's age at his death, 41 metres (135 ft) wide, symbolising the number of years he led the Chinese Communist Party from the Zunyi Conference to his death, and 32 metres (105 ft) high, representing Mao's age when he wrote his poem dedicated to Changsha city.

Du Fu River Pavilion (simplified Chinese: 杜甫江阁; traditional Chinese: 杜甫江閣; pinyin: Dù Fǔ Jiāng Gé) is a Chinese pavilion located on the bank of Xiang River, in Tianxin District of Changsha, Hunan, China, built in memory of the Tang (618–907) poet Du Fu (712–770). It is a part of Xiang River Scenery Belt. The pavilion occupies a building area of 3,800-square-metre (41,000 sq ft) and the total area is over 6,000-square-metre (65,000 sq ft). It is adjacent to Orange Isle and Yuelu Mountain.

Lingguandu station (Chinese: 灵官渡站; pinyin: Língguāndù Zhàn) is a subway station in Tianxin District, Changsha, Hunan, China, operated by the Changsha subway operator Changsha Metro. It entered revenue service on 28 June 2020.

The High School Attached to Hunan Normal University (湖南师范大学附属中学) is a public secondary school located in Yuelu District, Changsha, Hunan Province, China. The competitive admission is mainly based on the score in city-wide or province-wide standardized tests as well as talent in science, music, sports, and the arts. Founded in 1905 by Yu Zhimo, a leader of the Chinese democratic revolution, the school was initially named ‘Weiyi School’(惟一学堂, literally 'Unique school"). Later, in 1912, it was renamed 'Guang Yi Middle School', which is still valid. Throughout its history, the school's name, as well as its location, has changed several times, mainly due to the Anti-Japanese War and Chinese Civil War. Since September 1984, it has been called 'The High School Attached to Hunan Normal University'. As its name implies, the school is 'attached to', or 'affiliated with' Normal University, which employs the best college graduates. The school is well known for its top-ranking quality in teaching all over the country. It has produced a lot of notable figures in China, such as former Premier Minister of China, Zhu Rongji and several academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. The school, along with three other prestigious high schools in Changsha (First High School of Changsha, Changjun High School and Yali School), is recognised as one of the "Famous Four".

The He Long Sports Centre Stadium (simplified Chinese: 贺龙体育场; traditional Chinese: 賀龍體育場; pinyin: Hèlóng Tǐyùchǎng), also known as the Helong sports and cultural center, is a multi-purpose stadium in Changsha, Hunan province, China. It is named after Marshal He Long, who was born in the same province and a dedicated supporter of the Chinese "Three Major Ball Games" (三大球).The stadium is currently used mostly for football matches. It holds 55,000 people, and was constructed in 1987. The stadium is an all-seater, with a roof covering all spectators.
