Lough Cutra Castle is a privately-owned 19th-century castle located near Gort in south County Galway, Ireland. The castle was designed by English architect John Nash for Colonel Charles Vereker, 2nd Viscount Gort. Construction started in 1811 and was completed in 1817. The castle was later acquired by and a residence of Hugh Gough, 1st Viscount Gough.

Kilmacduagh (Irish: Cill Mhic Dhuach, meaning 'Church of Duach's son') is a small village in south County Galway, near Gort, in Ireland. It is the site of Kilmacduagh monastery, seat of the Diocese of that name. The diocese is now part of the Diocese of Galway and Kilmacduagh in the Roman Catholic Church and in the Diocese of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe in the Church of Ireland. The former cathedral is now a ruin.

Kilkeedy is a parish in County Clare and part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. The parish is the only parish in said diocese whose boundaries are still identical compared with the medieval situation.Current (2021) co-parish priests are Damien Nolan and Pat O'Neil.The main church of the parish is the Church of St. Michaels in Tubber, completed in 1865.The second church of the parish is the "Church of All Saints" in Boston. This church was also built in 1865 but it replaced an older limestone church with a thatched roof. That church was in its turn a replacement for a masshouse in the townland Kylcreen.

Crusheen, formerly Inchicronan, is a parish in County Clare and part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe.Current (2021) co-assistant parish priest is Pat O'Neil.The main church of the parish is the Church of St. Cronan in Crusheen, completed in 1837. The is a cruciform barn church. It replaced an older mass house, built in 1726, which in turn was thoroughly renovated or replaced in 1736.The second church of the parish is the "Chapel of the Immaculate Conception" in Ballinruan, built in 1824. A renovation and enlargement in 1857 gave the chapel its present form of two aisles at a 90 degree angle.The parish is also home to Inchicronan Priory.

Kilmacduagh Monastery is a ruined abbey near the town of Gort in County Galway, Ireland. It was the birthplace of the Diocese of Kilmacduagh. It was reportedly founded by Saint Colman, son of Duagh in the 7th century, on land given him by his cousin King Guaire Aidne mac Colmáin of Connacht.

Coole Park is a nature reserve of approximately 1,000 acres (4 km2) located a few miles west of Gort, County Galway, Ireland. It is managed by the Irish National Parks & Wildlife Service, part of the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. The park is in a low–lying karstic limestone area characterised by seasonal lakes, known as turloughs, which are almost unique to Ireland. It has extensive woodlands. There are 6 kilometres of signposted nature trails plus a formal late 18th century walled garden.
