Sisters of St. Dominic Motherhouse Complex, is a historic convent complex and national historic district at 555 Albany Avenue in North Amityville, Suffolk County, New York. The complex consists of five contributing buildings, a cemetery, and grotto. Rosary Hall (formerly the novitiate for the sisters whose original motherhouse was at Graham and Montrose Avenues in Williamsburg, Brooklyn) is the largest building in the complex and has four sections. It was built 1876–1878 and in a Gothic Revival style brick quadrangle composed of three 2½-story sections and a 1½-story section. Rosary Hall includes the chapel, which has a tall steeple. At the center of the quadrangle is the Cloister Garden. The remaining building is Seraphina Cottage, the original novitiate. It was built about 1850 and is a 1½-story vernacular Greek Revival farmhouse.St. Dominic Motherhouse Complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Most of North Lindenhurst is served by the Lindenhurst Post Office and School District, so it is usually considered a part of the Lindenhurst community.

Federal Aviation Administration records say the airport had 3,586 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2008, 2,866 in 2009, and 2,783 in 2010.On behalf of NY State's Department of Transportation, the airport is currently managed by AvPORTS, a US-based and owned operator and manager of airports.

Commonly referred to as "Copiague High School," the school is named after its founder and first principal Walter G. O'Connell.Walter G. Wellwood Cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in West Babylon, New York. It was established as the annex to Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, New York. The cemetery comprises many sections, each under the auspices of a synagogue, landsmanschaft, or group such as the Brooklyn Jewish Postal Workers Union. Each of these is marked, most commonly by a stone arch or a pair of stone columns. Many of the landsmanshaft have dedicated Holocaust monuments to the victims of the Nazis in their ancestral town. Examples include Baranovichi, Belarus; Ioannina, Greece; Pilica, Poland; Sokołów Podlaski, Poland; and Burshtyn, Ukraine.Several well-known rabbis are buried here. Kehillas Belz of New York has a section within the Beth Moses section of Wellwood Cemetery. The Belz Kehilla still dedicated (Mekudash) this section when the previous Belz Rebbe Reb Aharon was still alive.

The American Airpower Museum is an aviation museum located on the former site of Republic Aviation at Republic Airport in East Farmingdale, New York. It maintains a collection of aviation artifacts and an array of aircraft spanning the many years of the aircraft factory's history. The museum has many static displays which include a Republic F-84 first generation jet fighter, a rare example of the swept-wing RF-84F reconnaissance variant, and a Republic F-105 Thunderchief. The last production aircraft was the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II. The museum has a group of volunteers which includes both former Republic workers and veterans of all branches of the military. A flight experience is available on board a C-47 aircraft which actually flew during the Normandy invasion on D-Day.

East Farmingdale is a hamlet and a census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York. The population of the CDP was 6,484 at the 2010 census. Located in the Town of Babylon, the residents are served by the Farmingdale Post Office. In the past, some or all East Farmingdale was proposed to become part of the never-realized Incorporated Village of Half Hollow Hills.
