The Roger B. Taney Monument is a statue of Roger B. Taney (1777–1864), who was the fifth Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, installed in Annapolis, Maryland, on the State House grounds. The sculpture, by the artist William Henry Rinehart, was unveiled on December 10, 1872. The sculpture, made of bronze, was commissioned by the Legislature of Maryland.

Robert N. McDonald (born February 23, 1952) is a former judge of the Maryland Court of Appeals. He was appointed to the Court by Governor Martin O'Malley in 2012.

The Supreme Court of Maryland is the highest court of the U.S. state of Maryland. Its name was changed on December 14, 2022 from the Maryland Court of Appeals to its current name by a constitutional amendment. The court, which is composed of one chief justice and six associate justices, meets in the Robert C. Murphy Courts of Appeal Building in the state capital, Annapolis. The term of the Court begins the second Monday of September. The Court is unique among American courts in that the justices wear red robes.

Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium is a baseball venue in Annapolis, Maryland, United States. It is home to the Navy Midshipmen baseball team of the NCAA Division I Patriot League. This field has a capacity of 1,500 spectators. The stadium is named for Max Bishop, Navy head baseball coach from 1937 to 1961. In his tenure, the team's record was 306–143. The field is named for two Naval Academy alumni, Ron Terwilliger (class of 1963) and Bruce Terwilliger (class of 1964), both contributors to Navy athletics. The scoreboard at Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Navy's football venue, is also named for the brothers.The field features a full FieldTurf surface (with the exception of the pitcher's mound and the areas around home plate and the bases), which, at the time of construction, was only the third such full surface in college baseball. The venue also features an LED videoboard, restrooms, concessions, a patio area, and brick archways. In addition to hosting Navy baseball games, Max Bishop Stadium briefly played host to the Bowie Baysox in 1994, as delays in the construction of Prince George's Stadium forced them to play home games for three months at other venues in the region.

Florence MacKubin (or Mackubin) (May 19, 1857 in Florence – February 2, 1918 in Baltimore) was an American portrait painter in miniature, pastel, and oil colors. She painted portraits of prominent people in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as several famous copies of portraits, and exhibited at the Paris Salon, the London Academy, and the National Academy, New York.

Universal Lodge No. 14 is a historic building located in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It was constructed about 1880 as a private dwelling, and substantially expanded in the mid-1950s. It is a two-story gable-front frame and concrete-block building with a brick veneer facade and a gable finished in stucco. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.The Prince Hall Masonic Lodge for which it is named was founded in 1865 by a group of African American civilian employees of the U.S. Naval Academy. The lodge purchased the building in the 1940s, and substantially renovated it for use as a meeting hall over the next decade.In 2019 a $200,000 grant was secured to repair the exterior of the building.

Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium is an open-air stadium located off the campus of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Opened in 1959, it serves as the home stadium of the Navy Midshipmen college football and lacrosse teams, and was the home of the Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse. The stadium is also the host of the Military Bowl.The stadium's opener was a 29–2 win over William & Mary on September 26, 1959, and its current seating capacity is 34,000. The attendance record is 38,792, set in 2017 during Navy's 48–45 defeat of Air Force on October 7. Prior to 1959, Navy played its home games at Thompson Stadium, which seated only 12,000. Its site on campus is now occupied by Lejeune Hall, the venue for USNA water sports. The stadium hosted soccer games as part of the 1984 Summer Olympics. In April 2018, D.C. United of Major League Soccer played a regular season game versus Columbus Crew.

Hubbard Hall, often called "The Boat House," is the historic home of the United States Naval Academy's rowing teams in Annapolis, Maryland. Located on Dorsey Creek, off of the Severn River, it was completed in 1930 for the 40-man heavyweight rowing team. It supports the men's lightweight and heavyweight teams and the women's team with over 200 members. The Academy is in the process of completing a new USD $20 million renovation of the entire building including the rowing tank. Funds for the building were appropriated in 1928, construction began in 1929 and was completed in 1930. The building was designed by architects in the Bureau of Yards and Docks under Rear Admiral Luther E. Gregory.Hubbard Hall is named for Rear Admiral John Hubbard (1849-1932), a member of the Naval Academy's Class of 1870 who as stroke led a Navy crew to victory in 1870. The Hall was the first building at the Academy to be named after a living person.

Stanton Center is a historic building at Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story (plus basement), Classical Revival brick masonry building with a one-story addition. It is the second school building on the site and was first used as an elementary school and later became the first high school for African Americans in Anne Arundel County. It remained in use as a school until the desegregation of the Anne Arundel County school system in the 1960s, when it became a community center.Stanton Center was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Annapolis Police Department (APD) is a full-service law enforcement agency servicing a population of over 38,000 residents in 7.1 square miles (18 km2) of the municipality of Annapolis, Maryland.

The House by the "Town Gates" is a historic home in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is a large and imposing brick building, 2½ stories high and five bays wide. It was originally constructed in the second quarter of the 19th century as a single-family dwelling, later converted into commercial spaces by the latter part of that century. The alley along the west side of the building is the only undisturbed example of original cobblestone paving known in Annapolis.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Stansfield Turner (December 1, 1923 – January 18, 2018) was an admiral in the United States Navy who served as President of the Naval War College (1972–1974), commander of the United States Second Fleet (1974–1975), Supreme Allied Commander NATO Southern Europe (1975–1977), and was Director of Central Intelligence (1977–1981) under the Carter administration. A graduate of University of Oxford and the United States Naval Academy, Turner served for more than 30 years in the Navy, commanding warships, a carrier group, and NATO's military forces in southern Europe, among other commands. Turner was appointed to lead the CIA by Jimmy Carter in 1977 and undertook a series of controversial reforms, including downsizing the Agency's clandestine arm and emphasizing technical intelligence collection over human intelligence. He also oversaw the CIA's responses to the Iranian Revolution and the Soviet–Afghan War. After leaving the CIA in 1981, Turner entered the private sector, authored several books, and criticized subsequent administrations, including the Bush administration's handling of the Iraq War. He was a senior research scholar at the University of Maryland, College Park's School of Public Policy.
