Dansk Ornitologisk Forening (DOF), also known as the Danish Ornithological Society or BirdLife Denmark, is a Danish non-governmental non-profit organisation. Founded on 15 October 1906 by Eiler Lehn Schiøler and Hans Christian Cornelius Mortensen, it is the principal bird study and conservation organisation in the country and the Danish partner of BirdLife International. It has about 12,000 members in 12 local branches and administers 18 bird reserves. It publishes the journal Dansk Ornitologisk Forenings Tidsskrift (Journal of the Danish Ornithological Society) and the magazine Fugle og Natur (Birds and Nature). DOF was responsible for establishing the network of volunteer caretaker groups that watch over Denmark's 128 Important Bird Areas, and in the designation of Special Protection Areas which have legal protection under the European Union.

Sorte Hest (English: Black Horse) is the oldest building in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. A former roadside inn, then located well outside the limits of the fortified city, standing on the Vestre Landevej (Western Country Road) leading in and out of Copenhagen through the Western City Gate. It provided accommodation for travellers as well as citizens who failed to enter the city before the city gates were locked at sunset. Today it houses a bakery and café as well as apartments.

Frederiksberg Allé is a tree-lined avenue which runs through the southernmost part of the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It connects Vesterbrogade at Værnedamsvej to Frederiksberg Runddel in front of the main entrance to Frederiksberg Gardens. It was originally constructed in 1704 as the king's private road leading to his new summer residence, Frederiksberg Palace. It developed into the backbone of an entertainment district in the mid 18th century, and has continued to be associated with theatres until the present day. The avenue is lined with two double rows of linden trees and bisects Sankt Thomas Plads, a small round plaza, shortly after its departure from Vesterbrogade.

Vega is a regional entertainment centre on Vesterbro in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was inaugurated in 1996 as part of the city's agenda as European Capital of Culture.

Frederiksberg Allé station is an underground Copenhagen Metro station located at the corner of Frederiksberg Allé and Platanvej in the Frederiksberg area of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is on the City Circle Line (M3), between Enghave Plads and Frederiksberg, and is in fare zone 1.

Enghaveparken is a public park in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was laid out in the late 1920s to cater for the citizens of the expanding city. The park is completely closed off while undergoing comprehensive renovations June 2018-December 2019. The park is designed in the Neoclassical style. It has grassy lawns, flower beds and contains a bandstand, a playground and facilities for sports as well as barbecuing.

Humleby (lit. "Hops Town") is an enclave of terraced houses situated next to the Carlsberg area in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. They were built between 1885 and 1891 by the Worker's Building Society to provide healthy housing for the workers at Burmeister & Wain. The area consists of 235 three storey houses. They were designed by Frederik Bøttger, the architect of the Building Society, who was inspired by English working-class housing.

Christ Church (Danish: Kristkirken) is a Church of Denmark parish church situated on Enghave Plads in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was designed by Valdemar Koch, who also built several other churches in Copenhagen around that time. Completed in 1900, it was the first new church to be opened in the fast-growing neighbourhood to relieve the pressure on St. Mathew's. Its style is inspired by Italian Romanesque church architecture.

Rahbeks Allé Brewery (Danish:Bryggeriet i Rahbeks Allé) is a former brewery at Rahbeks Allé 3–11 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The brewery was founded in 1860 and merged with several other breweries under the name De Forenede Bryggerier in 1890. It was from 1923 operated under the name Kongens Bryghus and the site was decommissioned when De Forenede Bryggerier was acquired by Carlsberg Group in 1969. The buildings—a group of red brick buildings from 1860-61 by Jens Eckersberg and a tall, round silo from 1857 designed by Tyge Hvass—have now been converted into apartments.

Alhambra was a large entertainment-complex, built in 1857 in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was designed by the army-officer Georg Carstensen (1812–1857), who also was one of the developers of the Tivoli Gardens. Following a disagreement with others in the Tivoli Gardens management, Carstensen travelled to the Danish West Indies and joined the army there. After returning to Denmark in 1855, he attempted to construct an establishment to rival Tivoli Gardens; the Alhambra in Frederiksberg. It was built in a "moorish style" and boasted 2,000 seats with balconies in the big concert hall. The Alhambra was very popular the first years, but during the winter-times there were almost no activities, since it was impossible to keep this huge hall heated. Also, the lack of proper lighting in the huge surrounding park-area brought along several night-time accidents in the unfinished park. In the end, the venue didn't stand the competition against the established Tivoli Gardens. and had to close down. The buildings were torn down in 1870. The only reminiscent left of this failed project is a street named Alhambravej.

Enghave Plads is a central public square of the Vesterbro district in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located where Istedgade reaches Enghavevej, which separates the square from Enghave Park.

Vesterbrogade (Danish pronunciation: [vestɐˈpʁoˌkɛːðə]) is the main shopping street of the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The 1.5 km long street runs from the City Hall Square in the east to Pile Allé in Frederiksberg in the west where it turns into Roskildevej. On its way, it passes Copenhagen Central Station as well as the small triangular square Vesterbros Torv. It is one of four such -bro streets, the other being Nørrebrogade, Østerbrogade and Amagerbrogade.
