Brønshøj Rytterskole

Brønshøj, part of the municipality of Copenhagen, forms, together with Husum, the administrative city district (bydel) of Brønshøj-Husum, in Denmark.

Brønshøj Water Tower (Danish: Brønshøj Vandtårn) is a water tower in the Brønshøj district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is owned by Hofor and was listed in 2000.

Carlstad was a short lived fortified town in Denmark built by the forces of King Charles X Gustav of Sweden during his assault on Copenhagen (1659). At its peak, Carlstad's size rivalled the besieged Danish capital, reaching a peak of approx. 30,000 inhabitants. Carlstad's population, primarily consisting of army personnel and followers, rivalled that of Copenhagen itself.

Brønshøj-Husum is one of the 10 official districts of Copenhagen, Denmark. The district is bisected by Frederikssundsvej and consists mainly of vast areas of single family detached homes. It lies on the northwest border of the municipality. It covers an area of 8.73 km², has a population of 39,588. The district, now a quiet suburban area, has developed around the two old villages of Brønshøj and Husum. With 24.6% of the inhabitants having a non-Western background, Brønshøj-Husum is the most diverse district of Copenhagen.

Brønshøjparken is a public park in the Brønshøj district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is situated on the north side of Frederikssundsvej, just east of the original village and west of the intersection with Borups Allé.

Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix is a vintage motor sports car race held annually on the grounds of Bellahøj in Copenhagen, Denmark. It has been arranged since 2001 (at Fælledparken from 2001 to 2012) and takes place in the first weekend of August. Prince Joachim of Denmark is a regular participator along with numerous Danish and International professional racing drivers. Cars compete separately in various classes, including a large number of vehicles in the pre-World War II class. Around 200 vintage cars participate, such as Bentley's from the 1920s, Bugatti's from the 1930s, Jaguar's and Porsche's from the 1950s and Lotus Cortina's, Alfa Romeo's and Jaguar E's from the 1960s. The Royal Pro-Am Class is the class where Prince Joachim and other amateurs share their cars with professional drivers. In 2008, 25 Le Mans drivers attended the race, including the eight time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen.Apart from the multiple races, various other demonstrations, presentations and car shows take place as well as the marking of historic car models. The only non-historic car to participate in the event was the Zenvo ST1.

Bellahøj is an area situated 5 kilometres to the northwest of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It features the Bellahøj Houses, a functionalist housing project, as well as parkland with an open-air theatre. The 37 metre high hill situated in Bellahøj Park is the highest point in Copenhagen. The area offers an extensive view over the skyline of Copenhagen.

Utterslev Mose (English: Utterslev Boglands) is a large semi-natural area of lakes, reed beds and parkland located on the border between Copenhagen and Gladsaxe municipalities, approximately six kilometers northwest of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is surrounded by the neighbourhoods Brønshøj, Tingbjerg, Utterslev, Søborg and Emdrup. It is known for its rich bird life and has a dense network of walking and cycling trails.

Tingbjerg Idrætspark is an association football facility in Brønshøj, Denmark. Nicknamed Tingbjerg Ground, it is the home stadium of 2nd Division club Brønshøj Boldklub. The facility consists of a football stadium, an artificial pitch, a single gravel pitch with artificial lights and six natural grass football pitches. The stadium has a capacity of 6,000, of which 600 is seated.The stadium's record attendance was set in 1991 at a match between Brønshøj and Næstved in front of 2,500 spectators.

HF-Centret Efterslægten (Danish, "future generations") was founded as Efterslægtselskabets Skole by the philanthropic society Selskabet for Efterslægten on 4 March 1786 as a lower middle school and started teaching on 3 January 1787. In 1881 it also became a Latin school (grammar school) and in 1886 the first students with the Danish Studenter-eksamen graduated. In 1919 the institution was taken over by the Copenhagen Municipality, and 1958 the school began admission of girls. In 1991, the school changed name into "HF-Centret Efterslægten", and in 1993 the last students were graduated with Studenter-eksamen, as now the Higher Preparatory Examination (HF) is offered instead, both as a two-year programme and as individual courses for young people and adults. School motto: Non nobis (Latin: Not for our own sakes). Adam Oehlenschläger described his time at the school with great satisfaction. From 1790, Efterslægten was housed in a beautiful renaissance building, demolished in 1913 to make room for the department store Illum. The demolition contributed to endeavours to legislate about conservation of cultural heritage buildings in Denmark, successful in 1918. Since 1940, the school has been housed in its buildings by architect Henning Hansen in the Nordvest quarter of Copenhagen, near Utterslev Mose and Brønshøj. Thrroughout parts of the 20th century, leading handball and basketball teams in Denmark were named Efterslægten, as they had their origin in the school.

Vanløse station is a S-train and Copenhagen Metro station in the Vanløse district of Copenhagen, Denmark. The metro station at street level is the western terminus of lines M1 and M2. S-trains on the Frederikssund radial stop at an upper level to the south of the Metro station. It is located in fare zone 2. The lower level, where the Metro terminus is placed, used is an S-train station, too; between 1934 and 2002 S-trains on Ring Line reversed here on their way from Hellerup to Frederiksberg.
