Organ Mountain High School

KHQT (103.1 FM, "Hot 103.1") is a radio station in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It broadcasts a Rhythmic Top 40 format for that area. It is owned by ARG of Las Cruces LLC, a subsidiary of Adams Radio Group. Its studios are located in Las Cruces and its transmitter is located north of the city.

The Veterans Memorial Park located in Las Cruces, New Mexico was constructed by the Las Cruces Home Builders Association under the direction of the City and was dedicated May 5, 1999. In honor and memorial of the men and women who fought and served in the United States armed forces and in particular, those who served from Las Cruces area, the Veterans Memorial Park exhibits monuments to honor their sacrifices made over the course of history. The history recognized begins from as early as the American Revolutionary War to the present day. The Veterans Memorial Park is organized and guided with a trail that directs visitors to the various monuments scattered throughout the park.

Butterfield Park is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.The community is in eastern Doña Ana County, on the south side of U.S. Route 70, which leads southwest 11 miles (18 km) to Las Cruces and northeast 57 miles (92 km) to Alamogordo. It is located in Las Cruces Public Schools.

Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park is a state park of New Mexico, United States, preserving a riverside forest (a bosque) along the Rio Grande. The park is located near Las Cruces and just west of Mesilla. The park itself encompasses approximately 305 acres (1.23 km2), at an elevation of 3,900 feet (1,200 m). The park consists of river woodlands and restored wetlands. It is used by migratory birds, and is popular for birdwatching, walking, and bicycling. It is a day-use only park, and camping is not allowed. An active Friends of Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park group exists to contribute to the park's restoration, recreation, and education missions.

Mesilla Valley Mall is a 602,150-square-foot (55,942 m2) shopping mall located on 77.4 acres (31.3 ha) in Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States. It is managed by Namdar Realty Group. Opened in 1981, the indoor shopping center has 85 stores.Mesilla Valley Mall is the only regional mall in southern New Mexico, with a trade area encompassing 66 zip codes in Southern New Mexico and West Texas.On August 31, 2019, it was announced that Sears would be closing this location a part of a plan to close 92 stores nationwide. The store closed in December 2019.

The White Sands International Film Festival (WSIFF) started in Alamogordo, New Mexico, as a week long event in March 2008 to showcases narrative and documentary films. The festival was created to support the work of Hispanic and New Mexican Filmmakers. The festival moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, in 2009. The festival originated in Alamogordo, New Mexico and moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in 2009.The White Sands International Film Festival was established by former Alamogordo Film Liaison Joan Griggs, Otero County Economic Development Director Ed Carr and Kathleen Curtis. The inaugural event including guests such as casting director Donn Finn, filmmaker David Gibbons and writer Sam Smiley. "The White Sands International Film Festival" has taken place in late August or early September each year since relocating to Las Cruces. Among many recognized films by regional and international filmmakers, the festival has hosted many celebrities over the years such as Val Kilmer, Lou Diamond Phillips, Jeffery Tambor, Mark Medoff, Chris McDonald and Linda Hamilton. In 2013, a "48-Hour Film Frenzy" was added to the event to challenge filmmakers to write, cast, shoot and edit a short film in under 48 hours. The 2014 "White Sands International Film Festival" was scheduled for September 3–7, 2014. In 2015 the organizers of the festival decided to discontinue the festival citing there was not enough of an audience for it to continue. However, an offshoot of that festival, taking place in nearby Las Cruces, New Mexico and sponsored by the New Mexico State University College of Arts and Sciences is scheduled for March 2016 and featuring celebrities such as local screenwriter and Academy Award winner Mark Medoff, as well as Danny Trejo and Alvaro Rodriguez.

Centennial High School is a public high school in Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States, and serves approximately 1,538 students in grades 9-12. It is a part of Las Cruces Public Schools. Construction on the school began in September 2009, was completed and opened for the beginning of the 2012–2013 school year. The first graduation commencement for Centennial High School was held in the Spring of 2014 including both a valedictorian and a salutatorian. The campus includes a personal office for each faculty member; an Autism Student Center which is utilized by all the other schools in the district; and a cyber-café, which is open to students during non-academic hours. Each grade level is assigned its own building cluster within the campus and has a designated lunch eating area. While sophomores, juniors, and seniors are fully integrated, freshmen are "segregated" to slowly integrate each student to the school campus, for safety concerns, and to prevent hazing and bullying. The school employs eighty-two instructors, and has adopted a traditional seven-period scheduling format. On Wednesdays classes are shortened to accommodate an advisory period. Since the 2018–2019 school year, Columbia Elementary School has been moved to the Freshman Academy, and now C Building due to mold issues.

The Mesilla Valley AVA is an American Viticultural Area located primarily in the state of New Mexico with a small area in the state of Texas. Spanish explorer Don Juan de Oñate arrived in the area in 1598 and named a Native American village in the valley Trenquel de la Mesilla, from which the valley as a whole became known as Mesilla Valley. Although viticulture began in nearby El Paso as early as 1650, grapes were first planted in the Mesilla Valley only in the early twentieth century, near the town of Doña Ana. The climate in the Mesilla Valley is dry and hot.

The Green Bridge, on the outskirts of Las Cruces, New Mexico in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, was built in 1943. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.It is a single-span Pratt through truss bridge built by the Midland Bridge Co. The bridge has pinned connections that tie together seven 19-foot panel sections. It is 134 feet (41 m) long and 17 feet (5.2 m) wide.It currently is on the property of the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, at 4100 Dripping Springs Rd., just outside Las Cruces. It spans the Tortugas Arroyo, a dry wash. It originally was the middle one of a three-span bridge over the Pecos River, which was built in 1902. That location was in Chaves County. It was moved in 1943 to bring a small county road over the Rio Hondo, near the village of Picacho in Lincoln County. It was removed from service in 1989 by construction of a bypass. It was eventually donated to the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, which moved it to its present location in 2007. In its previous locations, it has also been known as the Rio Hondo Bridge at Picacho, as Bridge 3452, and as Pecos River Bridge.

Young Park is a park and music venue in Las Cruces, New Mexico. It is located at 1905 E. Nevada Avenue.

The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum is a 47-acre (190,000 m2) interactive museum in Las Cruces, New Mexico, that chronicles the state’s 3,000-year history of farming and ranching. The museum is part of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs.

The Las Cruces bowling alley massacre occurred in Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States, on February 10, 1990. Seven people were shot, five fatally, by two unidentified robbers at the Las Cruces Bowling Alley at 1201 East Amador Avenue. The gunmen shot the victims in an office, then set fire to a desk in the room and left the scene. The case is unsolved. The incident is one of the two deadliest mass shootings in New Mexico history, the other being the 2013 South Valley homicides, which also resulted in the deaths of five people.
