Calle de Alcalá is among the longest streets in Madrid. It starts at the Puerta del Sol and goes on for 11 km, to the northeastern outskirts of the city. Henry David Inglis described it in 1837 as "long, of superb width, and flanked by a splendid range of unequal buildings".

Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid (English: Sports Palace of the Regional Community of Madrid), officially WiZink Center since November 2016 for sponsorship reasons, is an indoor sporting arena located in Madrid, Spain. The former building, which was built in 1960, was destroyed by a fire in 2001. Architects Enrique Hermoso and Paloma Huidobro projected a High-Tech style new arena that was built at the same location between 2002 and 2005. The arena hosted two major international basketball events in the first decade of the 21st century - the knockout stage of EuroBasket 2007 and the EuroLeague's Final Four 2008. It also hosted the final stage of the Copa del Rey of basketball in 2006, 2009, 2011, 2019 and 2021. The arena was the finals venue for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the Euroleague Final Four 2015.

O'Donnell is a station on Line 6 of the Madrid Metro, located near the Royal Mint of Spain and the intersection of O'Donnell and Doctor Esquerdo streets in fare Zone A. It serves the neighborhoods of Goya and Fuente del Berro in the Salamanca district and the neighborhood of Ibiza in the Retiro district of Madrid. The station was inaugurated on 10 October 1979 along with all of the other stations between Pacífico and Cuatro Caminos. The station is named after O'Donnell street, which in turn is named after the 19th-century Spanish politician Leopoldo O'Donnell.

The House of the Little Sisters of the Poor (Spanish: Asilo de Hermanitas de los Pobres), also known as Mi Casa, is a residence for elderly people in the Salamanca district of Madrid, Spain. It is run by the Little Sisters of the Poor, who also run a similarly named facility in the Chamberi district. The building was designed by Ricardo Garcia Guereta, and has neo-mudejar features. It has been protected by heritage listing, Bien de Interés Cultural, since 1996.

As of 1 March 2020, it has a population of 21,341. The park of the Quinta de la Fuente del Berro (after which the neighborhood is named) and El Pirulí are located in the neighborhood.

Ventas is a station on Line 2 and Line 5 of the Madrid Metro. It is located in fare Zone A.The station gives service to Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, Madrid's main bullfighting ring.

Lista is an administrative neighborhood (barrio) of Madrid belonging to the district of Salamanca. It has an area of 0.520399 km2 (0.200927 sq mi). As of 1 March 2020, it has a population of 21,362. The Hospital Universitario de la Princesa is located in the neighborhood.

The plaza de toros de Las Ventas, known simply as Las Ventas, is the largest bullfighting ring in Spain, located in the Guindalera quarter of the Salamanca district of Madrid. It was inaugurated on June 17, 1931. Its seating capacity of 23,798, makes it the third-largest bullfighting run in the world, after bullrings in Mexico and Venezuela, respectively.This bullring was designed by the architect José Espeliú in the Neo-Mudéjar (Moorish) style with ceramic incrustations. The seats are situated in ten "tendidos". The price of the seats depends upon how close they are to the arena and whether they are in the sun or the shade (the latter being more expensive). The bullfighting season starts in March and ends in October; bullfights are held every day during the San Isidro Fiesta, and every Sunday or holiday during the season. Bullfights start at 6 or 7pm and last for two to three hours.
