The Bank of Spain Building (Spanish: edificio del Banco de España) is the main headquarters of the Bank of Spain. Located in Madrid, it lies at the crossing of the Calle de Alcalá and the Paseo del Prado.

The Bank of Spain (Spanish: Banco de España) is the central bank of Spain. Established in Madrid in 1782 by Charles III, today the bank is a member of the European System of Central Banks and is also Spain's national competent authority for banking supervision within the Single Supervisory Mechanism. Its activity is regulated by the Bank of Spain Autonomy Act.

The Palacio del Marqués de Alcañices, also known as Palacio de Alcañices (or Palacio de los Alcañices) was a building, now disappeared, which was located in the Calle de Alcalá of Madrid on the land that was other building that occupied Luis Méndez de Haro 6th Marquis del Carpio, a favorite of Philip IV. It belonged to the parish of San Sebastián, and occupied the number 74 of the modern numbering of the street; its other façade bordering the Paseo del Prado. Was named after its owners, the last one José Osorio y Silva, mentor of Alfonso XIII, known as Pepe Osorio and the Grand Duke of Sesto, who also held the title of Marquess of Alcañices, among others. It was sold in 1882 on the occasion of the works of extension of the calles Zorrilla and de los Madrazo, and today in part of the land that occupied the palace rises the building the Bank of Spain.

The Monument in Memory of the Victims of the COVID-19 Pandemic (Spanish: Monumento en recuerdo de las víctimas de la pandemia del COVID-19) is a steel sculpture in Madrid, Spain, located within the district of Retiro, at the intersection of Alcalá Street and Prado Walk. It commemorates people who died during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The monument was designed by Carlos Rubio Carvajal, and unveiled on 15 May 2020.

The Palacio del Marqués de Casa Riera was the name for two successive buildings located in the same place, in the Spanish city of Madrid, in the number 64 of the Calle de Alcalá, it was in the widest part of the street.

Teatro Apolo is a defunct theatre in Madrid, Spain. It was located on Calle de Alcalá, at the site which is now number 45. Previously, the site was occupied by the Convento de San Hermenegildo, which was sold off in 1836 and demolished in 1870. Theatre construction occurred between 1871 and 1873, with a design by the French architects P. Chauderlot and F. Festau. It had a capacity of 2,500 people. The theatre opened on 23 March 1873 and featured the company of actor Manuel Catalina. A comedy playhouse, it went through difficult times in its early days due to its relative distance from the then city center and the high ticket price. The Apolo and the Felipe theatres were the most important venues for the género chico, a phenomenon which debuted in Madrid and featured one-act performances. The Apolo closed its doors on 30 June 1929 after it was purchased by Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, which demolished the theatre in order to construct its Madrid headquarters. The site now contains a building which houses the Department of Finance and Administration of the City of Madrid. The Apolo's owners went on to build the Teatro Nuevo Apolo.

The Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation (Spanish: Real Academia de Jurisprudencia y Legislación) is a legal institution based in Madrid. It has a unique position as an independent and privately funded institution led by eminent international jurists mainly in the Hispanic area; its purpose is to promote the knowledge, investigation and debate in the legal area. It is placed in a building declared Cultural Interest Good in 1998.

The Church of San José (Spanish: Iglesia de San José) is a church located on the Calle de Alcalá in Madrid, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1995.

The Círculo de Bellas Artes is a private, non-profit, cultural organization that was founded in 1880. Its building, located in Madrid, Spain, was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1981. Ever since it was set up in 1880, it has played a major role of international scope in the field of cultural creation and diffusion. The CBA is a major multidisciplinary centre with one of the most active cultural programmes in Madrid. It has exhibition rooms, a cinema, a theatre, concert halls, lecture halls, artists’ workshops, a library, a cafeteria, a shop and many other facilities. Every day it puts on activities to do with the visual arts, music, film, the stage, literature, science, philosophy and poetry. The building which houses the Círculo de Bellas Artes was designed by the architect Antonio Palacios and constructed in 1926. It is an emblematic building, and from its rooftop one can experience panoramic views of Spain’s capital city.

The Fountain of Cybele (Spanish: Fuente de Cibeles, or simply, La Cibeles) is a neoclassical fountain in Madrid, Spain. It lies on the centre of the Plaza de Cibeles. The sculptural group in its centre represents Cybele, a Phrygian earth and fertility deity. It has become one of the icons of the city.

The Plaza de Cibeles is a square with a neo-classical complex of marble sculptures with fountains that has become a symbol for the city of Madrid. It sits at the intersection of Calle de Alcalá (running from east to west), Paseo de Recoletos (to the North) and Paseo del Prado (to the south). Plaza de Cibeles was originally named Plaza de Madrid, but in 1900, the City Council named it Plaza de Castelar, which was eventually replaced by its current name. It is currently delimited by four prominent buildings: the Bank of Spain Building, the Palacio de Buenavista, the Palace of Linares ("Palacio de Linares"), and the Cybele Palace ("Palacio de Cibeles"). These constructions are located in four different neighbourhoods from three different adjacent districts: Centro, Retiro, and Salamanca. Over the years, Cybele Palace and her fountain have become symbolic monuments of the city.

The House of the Seven Chimneys (Spanish: Casa de las Siete Chimeneas) is a building located in Madrid, Spain. It was constructed in the sixteenth century and is named after its chimneys. In the seventeenth century it was an ambassadorial residence, being the home of Sir Richard Fanshawe and his family.It is protected by a heritage listing, having been declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1995.
