The Leland Stanford Mansion, often known simply as the Stanford Mansion, is a historic mansion and California State Park in Sacramento, California, which serves as the official reception center for the Californian government and as one of the official workplaces of the Governor of California. Built in 1856, the mansion was formerly the residence of Leland Stanford, 8th Governor of California and founder of Stanford University. The Stanford family donated the estate to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sacramento in 1900, which maintained a children's home on the estate until 1978. Subsequently, the Californian government purchased the property to serve as the Californian capital's ceremonial reception center and as a state park, officially known as the Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park.

8th & O is a split light rail station in the Sacramento RT Light Rail system, served by all three lines: Blue, Gold and Green Lines. It is located at the intersection of 8th and O Streets in Downtown Sacramento, California, with the split platforms located on each side of 8th Street where the line splits into one-way couplets. The station is near the historical and cultural district of the city.

7th & Capitol (southbound) and 8th & Capitol (northbound) is a split Sacramento Regional Transit District light rail station, served by all three RT light rail lines: Blue, Gold and Green. It is located in Downtown Sacramento at the intersection of Capitol Mall and 7th Street (south platform) and 8th Street (north platform) and within walking distance of the California State Capitol, Tower Bridge, Golden 1 Center, and Raley Field. Also, it is the westernmost station served by all three lines where transfers can be made between the Blue Line and the Gold and Green Lines. This is a primary light rail station for the Golden 1 Center, home of the NBA's Sacramento Kings and other events. The previous station, the 7th & K platform of St. Rose of Lima Park, was closed permanently in 2016 to improve traffic and pedestrian flow for 7th Street. The station recently underwent upgrades in 2016 to accommodate for the increased ridership from the arena, and has improved safety, security, sign, communication, and lighting fixtures.

St. Rose of Lima Park is a split Sacramento RT Light Rail station, located near the park named in honor of Rose of Lima, in Downtown Sacramento, California. From the RT light rail's inception in 1987, it consisted of only two platforms at the vicinity: the northbound one (towards Watt/I-80) at the intersection of 9th and K Streets, and the former southbound one at 7th and K Streets. When RT expanded the light rail system in 2007 to serve Sacramento Valley station, it added the northbound-only 8th and K Streets station. Today, the 9th street platform is marked as "St. Rose of Lima Park" while the platform in the middle on 8th Street is simply marked as "8th and K".The 9th & K platform is served by the Blue Line only, while the 8th & K platform is served by the Gold and Green Lines. With a daily average of 3,900 riders, the St. Rose of Lima Park station is the third busiest in the RT light rail system behind Meadowview and 16th Street stations. It serves the Golden 1 Center, nearby downtown office buildings and Downtown Commons (formerly Downtown Plaza), an entertainment and shopping complex that anchors the arena.

7th & I (southbound) and 8th & H (northbound) is a split light rail station on the Sacramento Regional Transit District's Gold and Green lines. It serves the Sacramento County Center. The southbound platform is located at the intersection of 7th and I Streets, while the northbound platform is located at the intersection of 8th and H Streets.

Sacramento First Jewish synagogue sit is a California Historical Landmark No. 654 listed on October 26, 1958. The first and oldest Jewish Synagogue in Sacramento was dedicated on September 3, 1852. The Synagogue was used by California Gold Rush Jewish settlers to hold High Holy Days Services. B'nai Israel Sacramento, Association of the Children of Israel, was the first Jewish Synagogue on the Pacific coast of the United States. The founders of B'nai Israel were: Alexander Myer, Joseph Levison, and Charles Friedman. The B'nai Israel congregation was an Orthodox Jewish congregation until 1880. In 1880 B'nai Israel congregation changed to follow Reform Judaism. The 1852 Synagogue building, was previously a Methodist Episcopal church. The Jewish community purchased the church building on June 4, 1852. The building was built in Baltimore, Maryland, taken apart in shipped around Cape Horn and assembled in Sacramento in 1849 and called the Baltimore Chapel, founded on October 28, 1849. The Methodist Episcopal church moved to a building on 6th Street, now the First United Methodist Church Sacramento. The 1852 Synagogue building was lost in a fire in November 1852. The site of the First Jewish Synagogue is now at 1215 7th Street an office building.

Plaza Hotel in San Juan Bautista, California in San Benito County, is a California Historical Landmark No. 654 listed on March 6, 1935. The Plaza Hotel was built in 1813 as a adobe soldiers barracks by New Spain. The Spanish soldiers were stationed at the barracks to guard the Mission San Juan Bautista founded on June 24, 1797, by Fermín Lasuén. across the street. The Plaza Hotel building was built as a one-story building and later in the 1850s a second floor was added.

The Jesse M. Unruh State Office Building is a building designed by Weeks and Day in Sacramento, California. It was previously known as the California State Office Building or the California State Treasurer's Building, but in 1987, it was renamed as the Jesse M. Unruh Building by Gov. George Deukmejian in honor of Democratic politician Jesse M. Unruh. It is located at 915 Capitol Mall and is managed by the California Department of General Services.The phrase displayed on the south facade, "Bring Me Men To Match My Mountains," is a famous line from the poem The Coming American by Sam Walter Foss.In September 2008, The Sacramento Bee ranked it the fifth worst state building in Sacramento; its aging interior needed over $10 million in repairs.

The California State Library is the state library of the State of California, founded in 1850 by the California State Legislature. The Library collects, preserves, generates and disseminates a wide array of information. Today, it is the central reference and research library for state government and the Legislature. The California State Library advises, consults with and provides technical assistance to California's public libraries. It directs state and federal funds to support local public libraries and statewide library programs, including Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grants. The California State Library's mission is to serve as "...the state’s information hub, preserving California’s cultural heritage and connecting people, libraries and government to the resources and tools they need to succeed and to build a strong California." With the exception of the Sutro Library in the J. Paul Leonard Library at San Francisco State University, the other three branches are located in Sacramento, California, at 914 Capitol Mall, 900 N Street and at the State Capitol.

The California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) is the state agency tasked with administration and oversight of "state and federal programs for health care, social services, public assistance and rehabilitation" in the U.S. state of California. The agency is headed by the Secretary of the California Health and Human Services Agency, with headquarters in Sacramento. Many of the laws in the California Health and Safety Codes are enforced by it. On March 6, 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom nominated Mark Ghaly, MD, MPH to be Secretary of CHHS. The California State Senate unanimously confirmed Ghaly on June 17, 2019. Ghaly previously served as the director of health and social impact for Los Angeles County, deputy director of the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, and medical director of the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s Southeast Health Center. Ghaly earned his doctorate of medicine degree from Harvard Medical School and a master of public health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.CHHS was created from a reorganization of other California agencies, including the California Health and Welfare Agency which included the California Department of Health Services.

The Sutter Club is a historic building located in Sacramento, California constructed in 1930 in a Spanish Eclectic style. It was recognized as a Sacramento landmark in 1982. Designed by local architecture firms Dean & Dean and Starks & Flanders, it draws from Mediterranean and Spanish architectural styles. The Sutter Club was formed in 1889 to provide a social outlet for successful Sacramento merchants and professional men. The club is among the oldest social clubs in California.

U.S. Bank Tower (also called 621 Capitol Mall) is a 25-story, 404-foot (123 m) building in Sacramento, California. The office tower is located at 621 Capitol Mall and was completed in early 2008. U.S. Bank bought the naming rights and 34,000 sq ft (3,200 m2) of office space.The building's architect is Hellmuth, Obata + Kassabaum, Inc. (HOK) and the general contractor is Hensel Phelps Construction. The building has a series of LED screens on the top that seem to form a flowing river or waterway at night, with colors changing from light/dark blues to purples. They are easily seen since this building is the second tallest in Sacramento. This artwork was created by Michael Hayden of Santa Rosa, California, and is a companion to an LED installation in the lobby of the building by the same artist.
