Rivière-Blanche District

Vintage Wings of Canada is a not for profit, charitable organization, with a collection of historically significant aircraft. The facility is located at the Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport, Quebec, Canada. It was founded by former Cognos CEO and philanthropist Michael U. Potter. Most aircraft in the collection are in flying condition, or being restored to flying condition. The facility is located in a 23,000 sq ft (2,100 m2) hangar that was designed to resemble a wartime military hangar. Vintage Wings is a flying museum, which displays its aircraft in the air and on the ground at many airshows and other events such as Royal Military College of Canada graduation parades, Battle of Britain Sunday parades and many other air shows in Canada and the USA.

Gatineau-Ottawa Executive Airport (French: Aéroport Exécutif Gatineau-Ottawa or Ottawa/Gatineau Airport) (IATA: YND, ICAO: CYND) is an international airport serving Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, and its metropolitan area known as the National Capital Region. The airport is equipped with Canada Customs facilities for aircraft coming from outside Canada, car rental counters, and restaurant services. It has a single, 6,000 ft × 150 ft (1,829 m × 46 m) asphalt runway oriented east–west. Since January 2017, the airport's Quebec City route has been serviced by Air Liaison. Most residents of Gatineau use the nearby Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport, or travel to Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. The airport was inaugurated in 1978 and transferred to the City of Gatineau in 1991. The airport houses the Vintage Wings of Canada, a nationwide non-for-profit organization that educates youth by use of vintage aircraft. The airport hosts an annual Aero Gatineau-Ottawa air show.

Lac-Beauchamp District (District 16) is a municipal electoral district in Gatineau, Quebec represented on Gatineau City Council. It is currently represented by Denis Girouard. The district is named after Lac Beauchamp, an artificial lake in this district. The district contains the southern half of Old Gatineau, the historic downtown of the Gatineau Sector of the city. It also contains a small section of Templeton.

Green's Creek is a small tributary of the Ottawa River that flows through the community of Gloucester in eastern Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Among its tributaries are Borthwick Creek, Black Creek, Mud Creek, and Ramsay Creek, all of which spring in the Mer Bleue bog.

Lac Beauchamp is an artificial lake located in Lac Beauchamp Park in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.

Lac Beauchamp Park in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada is a large wooded park of 172 hectares built around a small lake in the middle of the suburban sprawl of the eastern part of the city. In the winter it has 15 km of ski and snowshoe trails. The lake also has a skating area. In the summer, the lake has a supervised swimming beach and canoe rentals. The ski trails are then used by amateur naturalists, hikers and bikers. The park is located about 10 km East of the downtown core of Gatineau and is thus easy to reach from Ottawa by any of the main bridges. The city offers several recreational activities in and around the park chalet. Several groups, such as ornithologists, entomologists, and garden lovers use the building and the nature preserve around it for their activities. There is an annual sand sculpture competition on the beach.

The Convent Crash, also known as the Orléans air disaster and Villa St. Louis disaster, occurred on May 15, 1956, after a CF-100 fighter jet crashed into Villa St. Louis, a convent in the community of Orleans, Ontario, Canada. The two pilots were killed in the crash, along with 13 people in the building: 11 members of the Grey Nuns, a civilian servant, and the chaplain, a retired naval padre.

The Robert O. Pickard Environmental Centre is a waste water treatment facility in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It provides secondary treatment to about 720,000 people. It is located at 800 Green Creek Dr., Ottawa, Ontario, and discharges to the Ottawa River. It was built in 1963 as a primary treatment plant, it was then later uprated to secondary treatment between 1988 and 1993. At the time of the upgrade, the site was named after the then Commissioner of Works. It is also one of Canada's largest wastewater treatment facilities.

Cairine Wilson Secondary School is an Ottawa-Carleton District School Board high school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is the main English-language school in the eastern suburb of Orleans. It is located on 975 Orleans Boulevard in the northern edge of the suburb, near the Ottawa River. The school opened in 1975. It was named after Cairine Wilson, Canada's first female Senator.

Rivière Blanche/Cardinal Aviation Water Aerodrome (TC LID: CRB7) is an aerodrome located on the Rivière Blanche, north of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada.

The Skate Canada Hall of Fame is the sports hall of fame for figure skating maintained by Skate Canada. It was established in 1990 as the Canadian Figure Skating Hall of Fame. The members are inducted into one of four categories that best represents the inductee's contributions to skating in Canada: athletes, coaches, builders, and officials. There is no physical home for the Hall of Fame; the offices of Skate Canada house historical artifacts and information about its honoured members.

Colonel By Secondary School is a high school in the Beacon Hill neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is a non-semestered school, and was the only English public school in Ottawa that offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programme until Merivale High School began its IB programme in September 2019. Colonel By is renowned locally and provincially as an academically rigorous school. In the 2018–19 school year, it was ranked the sixth best secondary school in Ontario by the Fraser Institute.
