The Combs Hollow Historic District is a historic district in Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey and extending into Mendham Township. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 16, 1996, for its significance in industry from c. 1735 to 1927. It includes 11 contributing buildings, 4 contributing structures, and 14 contributing sites.

Succasunna is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Roxbury Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving as its downtown and population center, having a population of 9,152 people as of the 2010 United States Census.

Gottesman RTW Academy (formerly Nathan Bohrer Abraham Kaufman Hebrew Academy of Morris County) is a coeducational Jewish day school located on County Route 513 in Randolph, New Jersey serving approximately 225 children in nursery school through grade eight. The school serves the Jewish community of Morris County, New Jersey, along with students from Sussex County and Warren County. As a community day school, the school accepts students from all branches of Judaism. As of 2006, GRTWA is a member of RAVSAK, a transliterated acronym from Hebrew which in English means Jewish Community Day School Network, having previously been affiliated with the Solomon Schechter Day School Association.As of the 2013-14 school year, the school had 135 students in kindergarten through eighth grade (plus 50 students in pre-K, for a total enrollment of 185) and 14.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.6:.

Mount Freedom Presbyterian Church is a historic Christian house of worship affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and located at the intersection of Sussex Turnpike and Church Road in the Mount Freedom section of Randolph Township in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. This congregation is overseen by the Presbytery of Newton. This church was closed for a few years. It is now Faithfulness Church, a Chinese Protestant Church. The church building was built in 1868 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

As of the 2000 United States Census, the CDP's population was 12,569. For the 2010 census, the area was split into two CDPs, Succasunna (with a 2010 census population of 9,152) and Kenvil (3,009 as of 2010).

Roxbury High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school in the Succasunna section of Roxbury in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth grade through twelfth grades, operating as the lone secondary school of the Roxbury School District, which serves more than 3,500 students.The school serves students from Roxbury, as well as from Mount Arlington, who attend as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Mount Arlington School District.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,195 students and 121.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.8:1. There were 115 students (9.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 44 (3.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The North Branch Raritan River is a tributary of the Raritan River in central New Jersey.The North Branch Raritan River rises in Morris County, in eastern Mendham Borough rising out of Raritan Pond, and flows generally southward into Somerset County, around the southern end of the Watchung Mountains. At its end, it forms the border between Bridgewater and Branchburg Townships, and upon reaching the border of Hillsborough Township, joins the South Branch Raritan River to form the main Raritan River, which generally flows eastward from that point. This area where the branches converge was called "Tucca-Ramma-Hacking" by the Lenape, meaning the flowing together of water. It was called "Two Bridges" by the early European settlers, after a set of bridges built in 1733 that met at a small island (the island has washed away over time) on the North Branch. Today the area is generally referred to as "The Confluence". In the 1970s, the state discussed plans for a Raritan Confluence Reservoir, which have been shelved due to acquisition costs.Both North and South branches of the Raritan run nearly parallel southwards, east and west of one another, but receive their names from the direction each one flows from at their confluence.

Kenvil is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Roxbury Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that had been part of the Succasunna-Kenvil CDP as part of the 2000 United States Census, at which time the population of the combined was 12,569. For the 2010 census, the area was split into two CDPs, Succasunna (with a 2010 Census population of 9,152) and Kenvil (3,009 as of 2010).

The Black River Wildlife Management Area is located along the Black River (also known as the Lamington River) in Chester Township of Morris County, New Jersey. This WMA is 3,078 acres (12.46 km2) and includes diverse landscape with plentiful flora and fauna. The Patriots' Path follows an abandoned branch of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad along the river.Other parks in the Black River valley are the Black River County Park and the Hacklebarney State Park.

The Mendham Borough Schools are a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Mendham Borough, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 485 students and 53.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.1:1.Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend West Morris Mendham High School, which is located in Mendham Borough and serves students from Chester Borough, Chester Township, Mendham Borough and Mendham Township. The school is part of the West Morris Regional High School District, which also serves students from Washington Township at West Morris Mendham High School. West Morris Mendham High School (also known as Mendham High School) is home of the Minutemen, and is a four-year comprehensive regional public high school that serves students in ninth though twelfth grades as part of the West Morris Regional High School District. Established in 1970, the school is located in the heart of Mendham Borough, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Students who attend the school come from the Morris County municipalities of Chester Borough, Chester Township, Mendham Borough and Mendham Township (including the areas of Brookside and Ralston).As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,106 students and 94.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. There were 15 students (1.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and none eligible for reduced-cost lunch.Its sister school, West Morris Central High School, is located in Washington Township. Students from Washington Township attend West Morris Central. The two schools maintain an athletic rivalry, which has survived decades of conference and schedule changes for all sports. Mount Olive High School was broken off from the original three-school district in 1977.Mendham was certified to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma in January 1998. The school was one of 17 high schools in New Jersey to offer the IB diploma program in 2021; along with its sister school West Morris Central, it is one of the two high schools in New the state to offer both the IB Diploma and Career Programs.
