The Nenagh River (Irish: An Ghaothach) rises in the Silvermine Mountains in County Tipperary, Ireland. It flows east of Nenagh and into Lough Derg just north of Dromineer.

Johnstown (Irish: Baile Sheáin) is a townland in the Barony of Ormond Lower, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is located in the civil parish of Killodiernan.

Kiladangan GAA is a Tipperary GAA club which is located in County Tipperary, Ireland. Hurling is the main sport which is played in the "North Tipperary" divisional competitions. The club is centred on the village of Puckane but includes the areas of Ballycommon, Monsea and Dromineer near Nenagh. Kiladangan was formerly spelled "Kildangan", however in January 2016 the club reverted to its former name of Kiladangan GAA. At the present time both club names are used interchangeably.

Puckane, officially Puckaun (Irish: Pocán), is a village in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is also a parish in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe. The village is located 10 km north of Nenagh along the R493 and close to Lough Derg and Dromineer. It had a population of 250 people as of the 2016 census.

Dromineer (Irish: Drom Inbhir/Druim Inbhir, meaning 'ridge of the river mouth') is a small village and townland in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is situated on the shores of Lough Derg on the River Shannon. The village is located 10 km north of Nenagh on the R495 road. It is a civil parish in the historical barony of Ormond Lower. Historic documents describe the places as "Dromynnyre"; the earliest form of the name dating from 1302 was Dromynwyr.

Ballyartella (Baile Uí Artaíle in Irish) is a townland in the historical Barony of Ormond Lower, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is located between the Nenagh River and the R495 road which runs from Nenagh to Dromineer.

Ballycommon (Irish: Baile Uí Chomáin) is a village and townland in County Tipperary, Ireland. Around 5 km along the R495 road north-west of Nenagh, it is in the barony of Ormond Lower and part of the parish of Puckane in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe.Kildangan GAA is the local Gaelic Athletic Association club. It is not to be confused with the district and GAA team in County Offaly called Ballycommon, 5 miles east of Tullamore. Carrig National School is a co-educational school situated on top of Carrig Hill, adjacent to St. Mary's Church. The original school was built in 1914 and currently there are 217 students enrolled.

Newtown (Irish: An Baile Nua) is a town in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is located on the R494 regional road 7 km (4.3 mi) west of Nenagh. As of the 2016 census, the population was 309. It is in the barony of Owney and Arra. It is also part of the parish of Youghalarra in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Killaloe.

Richmond (Irish: Cill Ó Sealbhaigh) is a small townland in the historical barony of Ormond Lower, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is approximately 1.4 square kilometres (0.54 sq mi) in area and located in the civil parish of Monsea. The townland borders and overlaps with the town of Nenagh. As of the 2011 census, the townland had a population of 153 people.The ruins of Richmond House and its entrance pillars and railings are listed on Tipperary County Council's Record of Protected Structures (ref S333).

Carney (Irish: Carnaigh) is a small village in North County Tipperary in Ireland. It is located in the civil parish of Cloghprior alongside the townlands of Carneybeg, Carneycastle, Carneycastle, Carneywoodlands, and Carney Commons. It is approximately 5 km from Puckane and 8 km from Borrisokane town. Shane MacGowan, lead singer in The Pogues, had family connections to the nearby townland of Carney Commons.
