Daesong Market

Dong District (literally east district) is a gu, or district, in central Ulsan, South Korea. Its name literally means "East Ward".

Wolbong Market (Korean: 월봉시장) is a traditional street market in Dong-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. The market contains many shops that sell fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, breads, clothing, and Korean traditional medicinal items. There are also many small restaurants and street-food stalls. The market is a popular shopping area for both locals and tourists.

Ulsan College (Korean: 울산과학대학교; lit. Ulsan College of Science) is a private college with two campuses in Ulsan, South Korea. The East Campus is in Dong-gu and the West Campus in Nam-gu. It was founded on 8 April 1960 as the Ulsan Industrial Technology Institute. Hyundai Heavy Industries is the college's owner and financial sponsor.

Bangeojin (Korean: 방어진) is an area in the Dong-gu district of Ulsan, South Korea. It houses the world's largest shipbuilding plant, belonging to Hyundai. It was an eup from 1936 to 1962, when it was absorbed into the new city of Ulsan.Bangeojin was the site of shipbuilding activity beginning in 1929, when the Japanese colonial regime established an iron works there. The Hyundai shipbuilding works was established there in 1972.

The University of Ulsan College of Medicine (UUCM) (Korean: 울산대학교 의과대학; RR: Ulsandaehakgyo Uigwadaehak) is the medical school of University of Ulsan, and is located in Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 1988, the school moved its campus to Seoul in 2004. Ministry of Education of South Korea ordered its relocation is illegal and ordered relocation to Ulsan.The Asan Medical Center (AMC), the Ulsan University Hospital, and Gangneung Asan Hospital are its teaching hospitals. The school has had 450 teachers and 358 undergraduate, 797 master, and 275 doctor graduates since it was founded.

Yeomposan is a mountain in Buk-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. It has an elevation of 203 m (666 ft).

ROKS Ulsan (FF-951) is the lead ship of the Ulsan-class frigate in the Republic of Korea Navy. She is named after the city, Ulsan.

Hyundai Chungun High School (Korean: 현대청운고등학교; HCU), is a private boarding high school located in Dong-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. It is one of the six independent private high schools (자율형 사립고) in South Korea that require an application of nationwide scale and admissions test to the applicant students. Since students who want to get in HCU usually get straight A when they are at middle school and take a test to get in HCU, they usually get rank 1 or rank 2 for their grades of CSAT(대학수학능력시험)College Scholastic Ability Test statistically. For example, there was a research for those who took CSAT in 2016(2017학년도 대학수학능력시험), and HCU placed the 4th in nationwide for the average CSAT grade for Korean, Mathematics, and English. [1] The percentage of rank 1 and rank 2 is 4%, 7% respectively. The aggregate percentile for rank 2 is 11%. Academic grading in South Korea 72.6% of students at HCU in 2016 got rank 1 or rank 2 for their CSAT grade.

Jangsaengpo Whale Museum is a history museum located in Jangsaengpo, Nam-gu, Ulsan, South Korea. It is the only whale museum in South Korea. The museum details Ulsan's history of whaling. Whaling was banned in South Korea in 1986, but whaling artifacts were kept and are now on display in the museum which is built in what was once a central whaling area. It has a 6,946 square metres (74,770 square feet) of floor space and includes a dolphinarium where visitors can watch dolphin acrobatic performances, and a 4D theatre.
