Nivaagaard

Nivaagaard Brickworks (Danish: Nivaagaards Teglværk) was one of two major brickworks at Nivå in North Zealand, Denmark. Its former Hoffmann kiln was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1985 and is now operated as a museum under the name Ringovnen.

Nivå is a town with a population of 8,325 (1 January 2023) in the municipality of Fredensborg on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in Denmark. Nivå is a residential town on the coast of the Øresund. It has a stop on the Copenhagen – Helsingør Kystbanen rail line. The town is the site for Nivaagaard museum, a marina and a desolated shopping center by the railway station, which includes only a library and a Netto supermarket. The town possesses two schools; Nivå Skole Syd (formerly known as Nivå Centralskole) and Nivå Skole Nord (formerly known as Niverødgaardskolen), whilst a golf course lies to the West. Its landscape is varied and ranges from marshland to suburban habitations. 20% or more of the inhabitants have a foreign background mostly muslims with middle eastern origin.

Nivå station is a railway station serving the suburb of Nivå on the coast of North Zealand north of central Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as the nearby Nivaagaard Art Gallery. The station is located on the Coast Line between Helsingør and Copenhagen. The train services are currently operated by Danish State Railways (DSB) which runs a frequent regional rail service to Copenhagen Central Station. The station was designed by Heinrich Wenck in the National Romantic style which characterize most of the stations along the line.

Mikkelborg is a seaside locality in Hørsholm Municipality, located between Rungsted to the south and Kokkedal to the north, some 20 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. Mikkelborg Strandpark (Mikkelborg Beach Park) is a public park and beach. Mikkelgård, a listed house from 1916 located inside the park, is now operated as a restaurant.

It is now operated as a 62-room, high-end hotel under the name Kokkedal Slot Copenhagen to distinguish it from Kokkedal Slot in North Jutland. The hotel is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SHL) network. It is surrounded by parkland and an 18-hole golf course.

Kokkedal (Danish pronunciation: [ˈkʰʌkəˌtɛˀl]) is the municipal seat of Fredensborg Municipality and a northern settlement in the urban area of Hørsholm, located on the coastline of northern Zealand, Denmark, between the two towns, Nivå and Hørsholm, 30 km north of Copenhagen. The settlement is connected with the Oresundtrain towards Helsingør to the north and Copenhagen to the south, with extensions to Malmö and other major cities in southern Sweden.

Sophienberg is a former royal summer retreat located on the Coast Road in Rungsted, Hørsholm Municipality, some 20 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is now operated as a venue for meetings and smaller conferences.

Humlebæk is a town within the municipality of Fredensborg in North Zealand in Denmark, approximately 35 km north of Copenhagen. Humlebæk is located at the shore to Øresund and has a population of 9,855 (2023).The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is located in Humlebæk.

Usserød Textile Factory (Danish: Usserød Klædefabrik) is a listed, 19th-century industrial complex at Usserød Å in the Usserød district of Hørsholm, Denmark. It was from 1802 home to the Royal Military Textile Factory (Danish: Den Kongelige Militære Klædefabrik) which remained in use until 1981. The buildings have now been renovated and are now used as a business park.

Humlebæk Station is a railway station serving the suburb of Humlebæk in North Zealand, Denmark, circa 35 km north of central Copenhagen, as well as the nearby Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. The station is located on the Coast Line between Helsingør and Copenhagen. The train services are operated by the railway company DSB, which runs a frequent regional rail service between Helsingør and Copenhagen Central Station. The station building from 1897 is designed by Heinrich Wenck. It is on the East side of the tracks. The shopping mall Humlebæk Center is on the West side.

Usserød Å, the principal drainage of Sjælsø Lake. is a stream in North Zealand to the north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is approximately 9 kilometres long, drops 18 metres and is joined by Donse Å before itself flowing into Nive Å on its way to the Øresund at Nivå. It passes through the protected Usserød Ådal and the town of Hørsholm. Several watermills and early industrial sites are located along its course, the largest being Usserød Textile Mill.
