Mississauga Hospital is a regional and teaching hospital in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It provides general medical services to residents of central and southern Mississauga as well as regional stroke, cardiac, and neurological care. Founded in 1958 as South Peel Hospital, the hospital was renamed to Mississauga Hospital in 1980. After a 1997 government mandate to restructure, the hospital merged with the nearby Queensway General Hospital in Toronto in April 1998 to form a new hospital corporation named Trillium Health Centre. From 1998 to 2011 the hospital was known as Trillium Health Centre Mississauga. The name was reverted to Mississauga Hospital following Trillium Health Centre's merger with Credit Valley Hospital on December 1, 2011 to form Trillium Health Partners.In 2022, Trillium received a $105 million donation from the Peter Gilgan Foundation, for this hospital and Queensway Health Centre. After the rebuild of the hospital, it will be known as the Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital.

Camilla Care Community is a 236-resident long-term care home in Mississauga, Ontario, owned by Partners Community Health. It is located next to Trillium Health Partners' Mississauga Hospital. The facility was taken over, temporarily, by the Province of Ontario in May 2020, as a result of extensive deaths from COVID-19.

Bronte College is a private, co-educational day and boarding high school, located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1991, Bronte College offers the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) to grades 9 through 12. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is offered in Grade 11 and 12 and Advanced Placement (AP) is offered in Grade 12. Applewood is a suburban district consisting of a collection of neighbourhoods (each containing the district's name) in the city of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The college was founded in 1979 and is recognized for its Healthcare, Business, Technology and Law Enforcement courses. Anderson College is registered as a Private Career College under the Private Career College Act, 2005.

Thomas L. Kennedy Secondary School (aka, T. L. Kennedy Secondary School) is a school located in Mississauga, Ontario, that was erected in honour of former Premier of Ontario, Thomas Laird Kennedy. Kennedy had been a longtime resident of Streetsville (now part of Mississauga), where he was Master of the River Park Masonic Lodge. Thomas L. Kennedy Secondary School first opened its doors to approximately four hundred and fifty students in September 1953.

Mississauga—Lakeshore is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. This riding was formerly known as Mississauga South prior to 2015.It includes the neighbourhoods of Cawthra, Sheridan Heights, Park Royal, Clarkson, Rattray Park Estates, Lorne Park, Lorne Park Estates, Port Credit, Applewood Acres, Lakeview and Orchard Heights. It has a population of 113,003 and an area of 61 km2. In 2003, it was defined to consist of the part of the City of Mississauga lying southeast of a line drawn from northeast to southwest along the Queensway to the Credit River, west along the Credit River, and southwest along Dundas Street West to the southwestern city limit.

Cooksville GO Station is a GO Transit train and bus station the Milton line in the community of Cooksville in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 3210 Hurontario Street, near Dundas and Hurontario Streets. The future Hurontario LRT will connect to this station.

Port Credit Secondary School (PCSS) is a high school located in the city of Mississauga, Ontario, and is a part of the Peel District School Board. It was the first secondary school in Peel, celebrating its 100th anniversary in May 2019. It is located just north of Port Credit, Ontario. It is home to two Peel Region programs, the one of a kind SciTech Program and the Strings Program. The current PCSS building is located about one block east of Hurontario Street at 70 Mineola Rd. East. The school is in the neighbourhood of Mineola, east of Hurontario Street, north of the CN Railroad and south of the Queen Elizabeth Way. The original location of the school was on Forest Avenue, on the site of what is now Mentor College. The school moved to its current location, May 13, 1963.The school's athletic teams are known as the Warriors. The Ultimate Frisbee team won the regional championship during the 2009-2010 season. In 2011, PCSS Warriors became the first Ultimate ROPSSAA Champions, winning the finals 14-13. The Warriors won their second ultimate frisbee title in 2014 and finished the season with an undefeated record of 11-0.PCSS was a shooting location for the 2006 film The Naked Mile. In October 20, 2007, the school was used as a filming location for the film True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet.

The Credit Indian Village was a settlement on the banks of the Credit River in modern-day Mississauga, Ontario. The settlement was initially founded in 1826 by a band of Mississaugas of the Credit who had converted to Christianity. Notable figures in the early settlement include Peter Jones, the son of Ontario surveyor Augustus Jones and his wife, Tuhbenahneequay. In 1847, the Mississaugas were evicted from the site by the Ontario government due to pressure from neighbouring white settlers; the tribe was forced to relocate to their current home, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, after being gifted land from the Six Nations of the Grand River. Since 1905, the original site of the village has been occupied by the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club.

The Mississaugua Golf & Country Club is a mixed club featuring an 18-hole championship golf course, curling facilities with six sheets, pro shop and lounge, tennis courts, fitness centre, and an active bridge club. It was founded in 1906 and is located in south-central Mississauga, Ontario (the spelling difference between the names of the city and the club is intentional). Built on the site of the Credit Indian Village approximately fifty years after the land was initially expropriated, the course started as 9 holes, designed by Percy Barrett of the Lambton Golf Club. In 1909, the course was expanded to 18 by George Cumming from the Toronto Golf Club, and in 1919 Donald Ross made several revisions. The course was lengthened by Stanley Thompson in 1927, to prepare for the 1931 Canadian Open. It currently plays to par 71, measuring 6,663 yards from the gold tees and 7,115 yards from the back black tees. The club went through a golf course renovation program by rebuilding all of their greens in the latter part of 2007 and ending mid year 2008.
