St. Mary's Church, Ystad (Swedish: S:ta Maria kyrka) is a medieval Lutheran church in Ystad, Sweden. It is the main church of the city.

Ystad Station (Swedish: Ystad station) is a railway station which is the terminal station of both the Ystad Line and the Österlen Line. The station is located in Ystad in Skåne County, Sweden, and is served by the Skåne Commuter Rail.

Ystad (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈy̌ːsta(d)]) is a town and the seat of Ystad Municipality, in Scania County, Sweden. Ystad had 18,350 inhabitants in 2010. The settlement dates from the 11th century and has become a busy ferryport, local administrative centre, and tourist attraction.

The action of 28 July 1644 occurred in Ystad harbor during the Torstenson War between the Swedish Lodja fleet and a Danish fleet of 11 ships. After the Torstenson War broke out in 1643 between Denmark and Sweden, a Swedish army under Gustav Horn invaded Scania, and after a force under Hans Wachtmeister secured the region in and around Ystad, the Swedish Lodja fleet under Henrik Hansson anchored in Ystad in July 1644. He remained in Ystad due to spotting Danish ships sailing outside the town. On 28 July, a Danish fleet flying Swedish colors arrived off Ystad, sailing into the harbor. Hansson noticed that its flagship also carried a red flag, and soon notified the commander of the blockhouse guarding the entrance to the harbor that the ships were Danish. As the Danish ships started to anchor, the Swedes opened fire, causing heavy damage to several ships which forced the Danish fleet to withdraw.

Ystad Municipality (Swedish: Ystads kommun) is a municipality in Scania County in southern Sweden. Its seat is the town of Ystad. The present municipality was created in 1971 by the amalgamation of the former City of Ystad with four surrounding municipalities.

The landing at Ystad, also called the Ystad coup (Swedish: Ystadskuppen) occurred on 7 September 1659 and began when Major General Frederik Ahlefeldt captured Ystad with 8 ships and 460 men. Soon after, groups of Snapphanar quickly organized into groups as large as 60 to support the Danish landing, arriving at Ystad only to find out the true size of the Danish force. A few days later, the Danes were forced to withdraw after several small skirmishes with Gustaf Otto Stenbock. The snapphanar were also eventually forced to get on stolen boats and sail towards Bornholm and Zealand after being hunted down by Stenbock.

The Landing at Ystad (Danish: Landgangen ved Ysted, Swedish: Landningen vid Ystad), also known as the Battle of Ystad, (Danish: Slaget ved Ysted, Swedish: Slaget vid Ystad) was an amphibious attack and landing at Ystad performed by a Dano-Dutch fleet on 27 June 1676 during the Scanian War. The landing was a success, and the Swedish garrison and relief force were forced to retreat.

Scanian Anti-Aircraft Corps (Swedish: Skånska luftvärnskåren, Lv 4) was a Swedish Army anti-aircraft unit that operated between 1941 and 1997. The unit was first based in Malmö and later in Ystad.
