The South River is a 16.3-mile-long (26.2 km) tributary of the Great Egg Harbor River in Atlantic County, New Jersey, in the United States.It rises in Richland and joins the Great Egg Harbor River approximately 3.7 miles (6.0 km) downstream of Mays Landing. A short outlet has been cut from the South River to the Great Egg Harbor River across from Catawba, allowing water traffic to bypass the lower part of the river paralleling the Great Egg Harbor.

As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 27,484, an increase of 981 (+3.7%) from the 2010 census count of 26,503, which in turn reflected an increase of 6,004 (+29.3%) from the 20,499 counted in the 2000 census. The Township of Hamilton was incorporated by the New Jersey Legislature on February 5, 1813.The township calls itself "New Jersey's Largest Municipality" on its stationery and its website. At 110.90 square miles (287.2 km2), Hamilton Township has the largest land area of any municipality in New Jersey. However, with a total area (land and water combined) of 112.94 square miles (292.5 km2) it is the second-largest municipality in New Jersey, behind neighboring Galloway Township, which has a total area of 114.49 square miles (296.5 km2).Geographically, the township, and all of Atlantic County, is part of the South Jersey region of the state and of the Atlantic City-Hammonton metropolitan statistical area, which in turn is included in the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden combined statistical area and the Delaware Valley.

Belcoville is an unincorporated community located within Weymouth Township, in Atlantic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.The town was founded in March 1918, during World War I to provide housing for the nearby Bethlehem Loading Company munitions plant. A town hall, school, bank, bowling alley, and several types of stores were created by August. The facility continued production until 1919, after the war had ended, and was subsequently torn down and scrapped. Belcoville had a population of almost 10,000 at its peak. The land was purchased by the Mays Landing Water Company after the facility was demolished. In 1923, a church and fire company were founded.

It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) in 1938 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 20, 1982, for its significance in architecture and religion. The church was added as a contributing property to the Mays Landing Historic District in 1990.

The sandstone building was built in 1837 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 31, 1979, for its significance in architecture, commerce, community planning, law, politics, and social history. The hotel was added as a contributing property to the Mays Landing Historic District in 1990.

Strawberry Field (FAA LID: 89NJ) is a private-use airport located two miles north of Mays Landing in Atlantic County, New Jersey in the United States. It is owned by and operated as an air attack base by the New Jersey Forest Fire Service in its wildfire suppression and aerial firefighting efforts. It has a 2,200-foot (670 m) turf-sand runway designated 14/32 at an elevation of 45 feet (14 m) above mean sea level.
