The Carlyle Hotel, known formally as The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel, is a combination luxury apartment hotel located at 35 East 76th Street on the northeast corner of Madison Avenue and East 76th Street, on the Upper East Side of New York City. Opened in 1930, the hotel was designed in Art Deco style and was named after Scottish essayist Thomas Carlyle. Owned since 2001 by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the Carlyle is a cooperative with 190 rental rooms and suites, and 60 privately owned residences.

Bemelmans Bar is a cocktail lounge and piano bar in the Carlyle Hotel, on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City. The bar opened in the 1940s, serving wealthy Upper East Siders and numerous celebrities. Bemelmans has distinctive Art Deco decor, including murals of Madeline painted by Ludwig Bemelmans, author and illustrator of Madeline. It has been known for multiple drinks, though in recent years it is best known for its martinis, often served very dirty. The bar opened in 1947, and has been a place for celebrities and socialites to frequent since that time. In the early 2000s, the bar was renovated and its cocktail program was remade by bartender Audrey Saunders. In the 2020s, the bar temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon reopening, Bemelmans has seen a surge in popularity, especially with younger New Yorkers, eager for an authentic New York experience.

Kappo Masa is a Japanese restaurant located within the Gagosian Gallery, on Madison Avenue, in the Upper East Side neighborhood of New York City. Conceived as a venture between Michelin-starred chef Masa Takayama and art dealer Larry Gagosian, Kappo Masa sells a range of specialty small-plate dishes as well as an omakase menu, served at the restaurant’s dining counter, made by New York City-based craftsman Andre Joyau. The space, occupying what was once a bank vault, features art works by the likes of Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, and Pablo Picasso.

Madison Avenue Hospital was a 121-bed Manhattan hospital that opened in 1950 and closed in 1976. In 1971, it was described as "a profit-making institution where abortions are performed on a large scale."One unresolved problem with the hospital's building, noted in 1969, was that at the "16-story structure at 30 East 76th Street built in 1928, there is only one exit." The building has been converted to luxury apartments.

980 Madison Avenue (also known as the Parke-Bernet Galleries building) is a building located at Madison Avenue and East 76th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City. It served as the headquarters of Parke-Bernet Galleries from its opening on November 10, 1949 to its sale in 1987. In 2006, The New York Times wrote that the building had functioned as "the Grand Central Terminal of the art world." The building is part of the Upper East Side Historic District.

Café Boulud is a French restaurant located at 20 East 76th Street (between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue), inside the Surrey Hotel, on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, in New York City. It is owned by French celebrity chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud. Boulud is New York City's longest-tenured four-star chef.The restaurant opened in 1998. It is named for a restaurant just outside Lyon, France, that was once owned by Boulud's family. In the summer, it has terrace tables.

The Mark Hotel is a luxury hotel, situated at 25 East 77th Street, at Madison Avenue, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Originally constructed in 1927 in the Renaissance Revival style, the building was purchased by Izak Senbahar of Alexico Group and Simon Elias in 2006 and the building's interiors were reimagined by French designer Jacques Grange in 2009. In addition to housing 106 hotel rooms and 47 suites. the building features a Jean Georges Vongerichten restaurant and bar, a Frédéric Fekkai salon, John Lobb shoe care services, and an exclusive scent by Federick Malle. Jacques Grange commissioned seven international artists and artisans, including Ron Arad, Eric Schmitt, Paul Mathieu, Mattia Bonetti, and Vladamir Kagan to create exclusive furnishings and artwork for The Mark collection.In 2015 The Mark Hotel unveiled "The Mark Penthouse" designed by Jacques Grange, on the 16th and 17th floors. At over 10,000 square feet it is the largest hotel suite in the United States. With 5 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, great room, library, formal dining room, gourmet kitchen and four fireplaces, it affords exclusive access to a 2,500 square foot private terrace overlooking the City Skyline, Central Park and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. In addition to The Mark Penthouse, Jacques Grange has recently designed The Mark Five Bedroom Terrace Suite and The Mark Three Bedroom Terrace Suite. Both suites are located on the 14th floor of the hotel and feature terraces facing the City Skyline and Central Park.

945 Madison Avenue, also known as the Breuer Building, is a museum building in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. The Marcel Breuer-designed structure was built from 1964 to 1966 as the third home for the Whitney Museum of American Art. The Whitney moved out in 2014, after nearly 50 years in the building. In 2016, it was leased to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and became the Met Breuer, which closed in 2020. The building currently houses the Frick Madison, the temporary home of the Frick Collection set for a two-year period that began in March 2021. There are no public plans for the building after the Met's lease expires in 2023. The five story building occupies a roughly square plot at Madison Avenue and 75th Street. The building, described as Brutalist or Modernist, has exterior faces of variegated granite and exposed concrete. It has stark angular shapes, including cantilevered floors progressively extending atop its entryway, resembling an inverted ziggurat. The design, controversial though lauded by notable critics at its opening, has seen more universally positive reviews into the present day. The building is a contributing property to the Upper East Side Historic District, a New York City and national historic district.

The Met Breuer ( BROY-ər) was a museum of modern and contemporary art at Madison Avenue and East 75th Street in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. It served as a branch museum of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (known as the Met). The Met Breuer opened in March 2016 in the Breuer Building formerly occupied by the Whitney Museum of American Art, designed by Marcel Breuer and completed in 1966. Its works came from the Met's collection, and it housed both monographic and thematic exhibitions.In June 2020, it was announced that the museum would close permanently, never reopening after its closure in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Control of the building was transferred to the Frick Collection for its use during renovations to the Frick's main building, an arrangement which predated the COVID outbreak.

The Clarence Whitman Mansion is a historic townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City, U.S. It was designed in the Renaissance Revival architectural style by Parish & Schroeder, and its construction was completed in 1898. It belonged to Sam Salz, an art dealer, from the 1940s to the 1970s. It was purchased by Bungo Shimada, a Japanese philanthropist, in 1990.
