Humewood Castle

Kiltegan (Irish: Cill Téagáin, meaning 'church of Tegan') is a village in west County Wicklow, Ireland, on the R747 regional road close to the border with County Carlow. The 19th century mansion Humewood House lies just outside the village. It was built in 1870 for William Hume-Dick, father-in-law of Richard Penruddocke Long, by William White. It remained in the Hume family until the death of Mimi Weygand (née Hume), in 1992. The house has been used as a location for films such as "The Actors" starring Michael Caine, "Ella Enchanted" with Joanna Lumley, "Laws of Attraction" starring Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore, and for ABC's television movie, "Prince William".The Roman Catholic St Patrick's Missionary Society, known as the Kiltegan Fathers, has its mother house at High Park 2 km from the village. Kiltegan won the Irish Tidy Towns Competition in 1973. The village is also home to Kiltegan GAA club, which also includes players from the nearby sister village of Rathdangan.

Kiltegan GAA Club (official title "Naomh Teagáin GAA club") is a GAA club located in Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow. The club was founded in 1964, and its catchment area covers the villages of Kiltegan, Rathdangan, and surrounding areas.The club is represented in youth competitions by the juvenile club Michael Dwyers which is a combination of the GAA clubs in Kiltegan, Ballymanus and Knockananna.

Keadeen Mountain (Irish: Céidín, meaning 'flat-topped hill') at 653 metres (2,142 ft), is the 152nd–highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin scale, and the 184th–highest peak on the Vandeleur-Lynam scale. Keadeen is situated at the far southwestern end of the Wicklow Mountains range, separated from the large massif of Lugnaquilla on its own small isolated massif with Carrig Mountain 571 metres (1,873 ft); it overlooks the Glen of Imaal from the south.

Hacketstown (Irish: Baile Haicéid, IPA:[ˈbˠalʲəˈhaceːdʲ]), historically known as Ballydrohid (Irish: Baile an Droichead), is a small town in County Carlow, Ireland, near the border with County Wicklow. It is located on the R747 regional road at its junction with the R727. The River Derreen flows westwards just north of the town and the River Derry rises just south of the town.

Clonmore Castle is a 13th century Anglo-Norman castle located in Clonmore, County Carlow, Ireland. The castle is roughly square in plan with rectangular towers at the southern sides of the courtyard. Due to a lack of heritage preservation, most of the castle is now covered in ivy, and large gaps have appeared in the north and west walls. The building is now entirely empty with no trace of a stone floor.The earliest record of the castle dates back to 1332, where Sir Anthony de Lacy carried out repairs to it. However, the shape of a trefoil window in the south wall suggests that it was built towards the end of the 13th century.

Clonmore (Irish: Cluain Mhór, meaning 'large meadow') is a village in County Carlow, Ireland. It is located 3½ miles south of Hacketstown and 9 miles east of Tullow in the north-east corner of County Carlow.

Knockananna (Irish: Cnoc an Eanaigh, meaning 'hill of the marsh') is a village in County Wicklow, Ireland. Knockananna lies close to the border between County Wicklow and County Carlow. The village is the centre of a dispersed farming area, 2km to the north-west of Moyne and the Wicklow Way. There is a grocery shop and a pub in the village. The village has a GAA team and the club colours are red and white. Colonel Commandant Tom Kehoe (Free State Forces) was born in the area in 1899. He was a member of Michael Collins's assassination Squad, which killed a number of British agents on 21 November 1920. Kehoe himself died from severe wounds he received while attempting to remove a booby trapped land mine during the civil war in Macroom in September 1922.

Slievemaan (Irish: Sliabh Meáin, meaning 'Middle mountain') at 759 metres (2,490 ft), is the 54th–highest peak in Ireland on the Arderin scale, and the 70th–highest peak on the Vandeleur-Lynam scale. Slievemaan is situated in the southwen sector of the Wicklow Mountains range, and is part of the large massif of Lugnaquilla 925 metres (3,035 ft), Wicklow's highest mountain. Slievemaan lies at the southern end of the Glen of Imaal.To the west of Slievemaan is the subsidiary peak of Ballineddan Mountain 652 metres (2,139 ft), whose prominence of 27 metres (89 ft) qualifies it as a Vandeleur-Lynam.Slievemann is sometimes confused with the other Wicklow mountain of Slieve Maan which is lower at 548 metres (1,798 ft).

Church Mountain, also called Slieve Gad (Irish: Sliabh gCod / Sliabh an Chodaigh, meaning 'mountain of the covenant'), is the westernmost of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. It is 544 metres (1,785 ft) high. At the summit are the remains of a large ancient cairn of pagan origin. This cairn was partially destroyed and a small building, apparently a church, was built on it in the Middle Ages. Pilgrims formerly climbed the mountain during the festival of Lughnasa to visit a holy well on the summit.The mountain lies roughly halfway between Hollywood to the north and Donard to the south.
