Kent County High School (KCHS) is a public school located in Worton, Maryland in Kent County. It is the only high school within Kent County, is part of the Kent County Public Schools district, and serves students from ninth through twelfth grades. Trojans are the school mascot and the school colors are blue and gold. The student body is 2/3 white.

WKHS (90.5 FM) is a non-commercial educational FM radio station licensed to serve Worton, Maryland. The station is owned by Kent County Public Schools (with the broadcast license held by the Board of Education of Kent County, Maryland), and is staffed by students of Kent County High School while school is in session and community volunteers during evening hours. The station simulcasts the programming of WXPN (licensed to serve Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) during overnight hours, on weekends and during the summer. WKHS celebrated 40 years on the air on March 28, 2014.

Christ Church, Graveyard and Sexton's House is an historic Episcopal church complex located at Worton, Kent County, Maryland. The church, also known as Christ Church IU, is a small brick structure, basilican in plan, with a narrower sanctuary appended. It was built in 1765 (more likely 1845–1870) to serve as the parish church of Chester Parish which had been established that same year. It is a well-proportioned example of a small Gothic Revival structure interpreted in brick. The Sexton's house dates from the period of the earlier church and consists of two adjoining sections, one brick and one stone, both one story high with dormers.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.In 1835, the church sold part of its lands adjacent to the highway to the town's United Methodist church for its graveyard.

Hopeful Unity is a historic house at 25789 Lambs Meadow Road in Worton, Maryland. It is a three-story brick building, three bays wide, with a 1+1⁄2-story kitchen ell. The main house is generally believed to have been built about 1761, after the property was purchased by Charles Groome. The ell may encapsulate an even older structure. The house is a well-preserved example of colonial Eastern Shore architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

It is a large, three story late Victorian stuccoed frame house built in 1881 for Chestertown lawyer Harrison W. Vickers (1845-1911). It features irregular massing, multiple roof forms, clipped gables, an oriel window, and exposed rafter ends. It was designed by Baltimore architect Edmund G. Lind (1829-1909).Lauretum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Shepherd's Delight, also known as the House on Part of Camelsworthmore, is a historic home located near Still Pond, Kent County, Maryland. It has a four-bay-long, 1+1⁄2-story main section with porches both front and back, and a four-bay-long, 2+1⁄2-story kitchen wing. It was built between 1767 and 1783, and added to again about 1810. Also on the property are two barns and a brick stable with modern sheds attached.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
