Community School, located in Teaneck, New Jersey, is a private school, founded in 1968 to serve the bright child with learning and attentional disabilities. The school's primary goal is to help children achieve a level of performance in the classroom that is fully commensurate with their respective abilities. The Lower School program provides children in grades K-8 with skilled remedial help and challenging academic experience. The program is designed for children who have learning disabilities (LD), such as ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and Apraxia. Applications are accepted throughout the school year. Enrollment is open to both private students and public school students placed by local school districts. Students who meet any of the descriptions of learning disability, attention deficit disorder, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder, speech and language and perceptual impairments are eligible. Teaneck High School (known as The Castle on the Hill) is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Teaneck, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Teaneck Public Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1935.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,239 students and 101.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.3:1. There were 169 students (13.6% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 87 (7.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The school was renovated in 2003–04, giving students new classrooms as well as a new student center. Teaneck created two academies that focus on the sciences and the arts. Teaneck's sports teams are nicknamed the Highwaymen; girls' teams are called the Highwaywomen. The team name comes from the highwaymen who would seize money and belongings from those traveling along highways during the 17th and 18th century and for the school's location overlooking Route 4.

District Factor Groups organize districts statewide, ostensibly to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J. However, because socioeconomic data is derived from the municipality as a whole and a significant proportion of Teaneck's more affluent families send their children to parochial or other private schools, the usefulness of District Factor Grouping in the Teaneck district's case is disputed.

Teaneck () is a township in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is a bedroom community in the New York metropolitan area. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 41,246, an increase of 1,470 (+3.7%) from the 2010 census count of 39,776, which in turn reflected an increase of 516 (+1.3%) from the 39,260 counted at the 2000 census. As of 2020, Teaneck was the second-most populous among the 70 municipalities in Bergen County, behind Hackensack, which had a population of 46,030.Teaneck was created on February 19, 1895, by an act of the New Jersey Legislature from portions of Englewood Township and Ridgefield Township, both of which are now defunct (despite existing municipalities with similar names), along with portions of Bogota and Leonia. Independence followed the result of a referendum held on January 14, 1895, in which voters favored incorporation by a 46–7 margin. To address the concerns of Englewood Township's leaders, the new municipality was formed as a township, rather than succumbing to the borough craze sweeping across Bergen County at the time. In 1965, Teaneck voluntarily desegregated its public schools, after the Board of Education approved a plan to do so by a 7–2 vote on May 13, 1964. Yeshivas Heichal HaTorah is an Orthodox Jewish yeshiva high school located in Teaneck, New Jersey. The institution owns and operates the Jewish Center of Teaneck, where it is located. Heichal is unaffiliated with Israeli yeshivas under the same name. The school had 150 students enrolled for the 2019–20 school year.

Metropolitan Schechter High School was a Conservative Jewish coeducational college preparatory school in Teaneck, New Jersey, USA, that was the result of the combination of the Solomon Schechter High School of New York in Manhattan and the Schechter Regional High School in Teaneck. It started in fall 2006, had its first graduating class in the spring 2007, and never re-opened after summer 2007. In early May 2007, parents were informed that there was the possibility that the school would cease operations and not re-open for the 2007–2008 school year. For those students who came from Solomon Schechter High School of New York, this would have meant two years in a row of switching schools, with the closure once again announced at the end of the school year. A meeting was held on the evening of May 7, 2007, with parents and board members. It was announced that only 9 students had enrolled for the upcoming entering class, and that the school needed an additional $1.5 million in order to get through the coming school year. The board promised the parents that they would allow the school to stay open if ten students enrolled in the incoming 2007 freshman class by May 11, 2007, and $500,000 was raised by September 1, 2007. In late August, the school board announced that a long-time major donor had backed out from a pledge because of "personal financial losses" and the school was closed.

Schechter Regional High School was a small, coeducational, Conservative Jewish High School, located in Teaneck, New Jersey, United States. It was founded in 2003, as an outgrowth of two lower Schechter elementary and middle schools in existence for the past 20 years. The school was led by Jay Dewey, and Rhonda Rosenheck. It was announced along with Solomon Schechter High School of New York in April 2006 that the new joint Metro Schechter Academy would be formed from the two schools and would be located in New Jersey starting in the fall of 2006. The renamed, merged school had its first and only graduating class in the spring of 2007. In late August 2007, the school board announced that a long-time major donor had backed out from a pledge because of "personal financial losses," and the school was closed down.

Torah Academy of Bergen County (commonly referred to as TABC) is a four-year yeshiva high school located in Teaneck, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The school utilizes a split-schedule day offering both Jewish studies and college preparatory secular courses. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2005.TABC is run by Rabbi Shlomo Stochel, Head of School; the Rosh HaYeshiva, Rabbi Joshua Kahn; Rabbi Steven Finklestein, Associate Principal; and Rabbi Dr. Michael Atlas, Assistant Principal.
