Vestamager station (Danish pronunciation: [ˈvestɑˌmɑˀ], lit. West Amager) is a rapid transit station of the Copenhagen Metro in Copenhagen, Denmark. The terminus of the M1 line, it is located in zone 3 in the southwestern section of the island of Amager.

The Royal Arena is a multi-use indoor arena in the Ørestad South area of Copenhagen, Denmark. The ground was broken for construction on 26 June 2013 and the arena opened in February 2017. It has a capacity of 13,000 for sporting events and up to 16,000 (either sitting or standing) for concerts.

World Trade Center Copenhagen is a proposed complex in Ørestad, a development zone between Copenhagen's city center and Copenhagen Airport in Denmark. Designed by Kim Utzon, son of architect Jørn Utzon, who designed the Sydney Opera House. The centre is planned to comprise three high-rise office blocks of 20 stories each, with the rest of the building between 7 and 9 floors in height.The 125,000 square metres (1,350,000 sq ft) of floorspace will host a wide range of facilities including restaurants, cafés, shops, a hotel, an exhibition centre and conference facilities.

Ørestad (Danish pronunciation: [ˈøːɐˌstæð]) is a developing city area in Copenhagen, Denmark, on the island of Amager. The area was developed using the new town concept, closely linked with the M1 line of the Copenhagen Metro. Economically, income for the plan would be generated by selling the public-owned, unused land for development, thus financing the construction of the metro, and contrarily, metro access was deemed necessary for making development attractive. While the metro is the primary public transport access, the area is also served by the Øresund Line between Copenhagen and Malmö, the motorway E20 and close to Copenhagen Airport. Ørestad was originally planned to consist of four districts, however only three are developed: Ørestad Nord, the unbuilt Amager Fælled area (which will remain a nature reserve), Ørestad City and Ørestad Syd. Therefore, Ørestad in reality consists of two areas detached from each other. The northernmost Ørestad Nord area is coherent with inner Copenhagen. Many Copenhageners will often only regard the outlying area, the two southern districts around Ørestad Station and Field's shopping centre, as Ørestad proper. Ørestad is neighbouring the nature areas of Amager Common and Vestamager which consist mainly of land reclaimed in the first half of the 20th century, with wetlands, bushes and self-grown small woods. These recreational areas, as well as Ørestad itself and the surrounding island, are almost entirely flat. Some notable institutions in Ørestad are the DR Village (headquarters of the national Danish broadcaster DR), Copenhagen Concert Hall designed by Jean Nouvel, Field's (the largest shopping mall in Denmark), Bella Center (the largest exhibition and conference center in Scandinavia) and Bella Sky Hotel, the largest hotel in Scandinavia. Of these, Bella Center existed before the concept of Ørestad.

Field's is a shopping centre in Ørestad, Copenhagen, close to the E20 motorway and Ørestad Station on the Copenhagen Metro. On 3 July 2022, a man opened fire at the Field's shopping mall in Copenhagen, Denmark, killing three people and critically wounding four others. A suspect, a Danish man, was arrested after the shooting; he had a history of contact with the psychiatric healthcare system. According to police, there are no indications that the shooting was terrorism. The suspect has been charged with three murders and seven attempted murders. The mass shooting is the first in Denmark since the 2015 Copenhagen shootings.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Copenhagen is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Denmark. Opened in 2019, it is located at the first floor of 13 Arne Jacobsen Avenue (Danish: Arne Jacobsens Allé 13) in the Ørestad district of Copenhagen, near Ørestad Station and opposite the Field's shopping mall.

The Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority (Danish: Trafikstyrelsen) is the Danish government agency responsible for regulating, planning and safety relating to public transport in Denmark. The agency also acts as an advisor towards the ministry related to policy and strategic development in transport. It further acts as the administrator of the government's procurement of ferry and rail transport through public service obligations and collects and publishes statistics related to public transport. The agency was reorganised on 14 April 2010. It was from 2010 to 2021 a part of the larger Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority (Danish: Trafik-, Bygge- og Boligstyrelsen). By royal resolution on 23 January 2021, the Ministry of the Interior and Housing was established, and the authority's areas of responsibility for housing and construction were transferred to the newly established Danish Housing and Planning Authority and the authority's name was changed to Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority.

It is noted for its innovative architecture, favouring open studying environments instead of traditional class rooms, and for its media-oriented profile focusing on media, communications, and culture.
