First Baptist Peddie Memorial Church is a historic church at Broad and Fulton Streets in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1888 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

George Washington is an outdoor equestrian statue by the Scottish-American sculptor J. Massey Rhind located in Washington Park in Newark, New Jersey. It depicts General George Washington saying farewell to the troops of the Continental Army on November 2, 1783, and was dedicated on the anniversary of that event in 1912.

The New Jersey Bell Headquarters Building is located in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1929 by the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 21, 2005. The art deco building was designed by Ralph Thomas Walker of the architectural firm Voorhees, Gmelin, and Walker. The buff brick and sandstone façade is decorated with pilasters created by sculptor Edward McCartan. Since the building's opening, soft orange lights have bathed its upper floors at night. The building is 20 stories and 275 ft (84 m) tall. The building later became headquarters for Verizon New Jersey, Inc.The building was sold in 2017 and has been converted to residential high-rise market rate apartments and renamed Walker House. Verizon still leases several floors in the building. It opened in 2019 as the Walker House, named for the architect who designed it.The Cory Booker 2020 presidential campaign opened in the building in March 2019.

It was added as a contributing property to the Military Park Commons Historic District on June 18, 2004.

The Symington House, also known as the Symington–Continental House, is located at 2 Park Place in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The house, built in 1808, is the last of the great mansions that were on the north side of Military Park. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 2, 1979, for its significance in architecture. It was added as a contributing property to the Military Park Commons Historic District on June 18, 2004.

The Home Office Building is located adjacent to Military Park at 10 Park Place in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1928 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 17, 1982. The building is one of two existing structures in downtown Newark commissioned by the Firemen's Insurance Company, an insurance company founded in 1855, to house its offices. The Military Park building was designed by prominent father-and-son Newark architects John H. & Wilson C. Ely. Construction began in 1924 and the building was completed in 1928. In 1982 the building was designated a New Jersey Historic Place and a National Historic Place. The 10-story building has 16,000 square feet (1,490 m2) of space. The Berger Organization purchased the building in 1990, the same year a plaque was placed on it by the Newark Preservation and Landmarks Committee. The building underwent renovations in 2006. An inscription on a bronze plaque placed by the Newark Preservation and Landmarks Committee reads: This insurance company was founded in 1855 in Newark. These headquarters were built during the height of the company's expansion in 1924-1928. This ten story structure features Classical Revival ornamentation on facades and in major interior spaces. The architects were the prominent Newark firm John H. and Wilson C. Ely. Trinity & St. Philip's Cathedral is a historic church located at Broad and Rector Streets in Military Park in the city of Newark in Essex County, New Jersey, United States. It is the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. The church building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 3, 1972, for its significance in architecture and religion. It was added as a contributing property to the Military Park Commons Historic District on June 18, 2004.

Shadow of a Face is a monument to abolitionist Harriet Tubman in Newark, New Jersey's Harriet Tubman Square designed by architect and artist Nina Cooke John. It was unveiled on March 9, 2023. It is one of several monuments in the park, and replaced a monument to Christopher Columbus in the same location which was removed in 2020 by the city to prevent its toppling in a Black Lives Matter protest.

Atlantic Street station is a light rail station in Newark, New Jersey on the Newark Light Rail. The station is located in Downtown Newark, next to Atlantic Street, between the headquarters of IDT Corporation and its parking garage. It serves the business district near Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium. The Washington Park Post office is also located near this station. The station is above ground, as is most of the second Newark Light Rail line, except for a two-track tunnel having a portal to the south of Center Street that connects the line to the original NCS line at Newark Penn Station. This station receives only northbound trains, which leave Newark Penn Station, make one stop at NJPAC/Center Street, enter the northbound line here at Atlantic Street, and continue on to Riverfront Stadium (service on game days only) and Newark Broad Street station. Service on this line opened on July 17, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. EDT.

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), in Downtown Newark in Newark, New Jersey, is one of the largest performing arts centers in the United States. Home to the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO), more than nine million visitors (including more than one million children) have visited the center since it opened in October 1997 on the site of the former Military Park Hotel.NJPAC has been an important component in revitalization of New Jersey's largest city. Located just west of the Passaic River waterfront, the Center lies in the heart of the city's cultural district around Military Park and Washington Park that also includes The Newark Museum, New Jersey Historical Society, and the Newark Public Library. The Prudential Center is just to the south. Philip S. Thomas was named Vice President of Arts Education in 1992. NJPAC has one of the largest arts education programs offered by a performing arts center in the nation. The program includes arts training classes, scholarships, in-school residencies, professional development, and family and children's programming, allowing students, teachers and families to interact with professional artists and explore the various genres of music, theater, dance, poetry and more.

Military Park is a 6-acre (24,000 m2) city park in Downtown Newark in Newark, New Jersey. Along with Lincoln Park and Washington Park, it makes up the three downtown parks in Newark that were laid out in the colonial era. It is a nearly triangular park located between Park Place, Rector Street and Broad Street. The New Jersey Historical Society, Military Park Building, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Robert Treat Center and the newly built One Theatre Square and 50 Rector St buildings are located across Park Place from the park. A $3.25 million renovation led by Dan Biederman was announced in February 2012. The reconstruction was expected to be completed in late 2013, but due to harsh weather was postponed until spring 2014. A casual restaurant, Burg, does business in the park. The park reopened in June 2014.
