The Gateway is a mixed-use tower in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States, adjacent to the Northeast Corridor Line New Brunswick rail station. It was proposed in February 2005 by DEVCO as part of the Easton-Somerset redevelopment area. Several businesses were relocated from the site during 2008 and 2009. The project was completed in September 2012, at a cost of $150 million.New Brunswick is one of nine cities in New Jersey designated as eligible for Urban Transit Hub Tax Credits by the state's Economic Development Authority. Developers who invest a minimum of $50 million within 0.5 miles of a train station are eligible for pro-rated tax credit. The Gateway is one such project located just to the north of station and is connected by a new pedestrian bridge. This creates a direct link to the Rutgers' College Avenue Campus.The completed project is the tallest building in New Brunswick, at 23 stories. A city spokesman described it as "like the center of the universe for people coming to New Brunswick." The Gateway was expected to attract residents and the university community downtown.The Gateway includes: 656 spaces of parking (nine levels) A three-story Barnes & Noble store New headquarters for the Rutgers University Press 42 condos, 120 regular housing units, and 38 affordable housing units (Reduced from 49 units of affordable housing planned in April 2010)

The Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) is an American 965-bed hospital with campuses in New Brunswick (Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick), and Somerville, New Jersey (Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset), and serves as a flagship hospital of RWJBarnabas Health. RWJUH New Brunswick is the flagship cancer hospital of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and the principal hospital of Rutgers University's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Its Centers of Excellence include cardiovascular care from minimally invasive heart surgery to transplantation, cancer care, and women's and children's care including The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital at RWJUH, which has several areas of pediatric care. The hospital is also a Level 1 trauma center and serves as a national resource in its ground-breaking approaches to emergency preparedness.

New Brunswick station is a railroad station in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It serves Amtrak and NJ Transit trains on the Northeast Corridor. The station is located at the intersection of Easton Avenue and French and Albany Streets, near the College Avenue Campus of Rutgers University. The station has two high-level side platforms serving the outer tracks of the four-track Northeast Corridor. Most of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor services bypass the station via the inner tracks, except for select Keystone Service and Northeast Regional trains and the weekday westbound Palmetto. Northbound Crescent trains stop in New Brunswick as well.

The School of Nursing became the College of Nursing on March 6, 1956. Ella V. Stonsby was appointed the first dean of the College.

Saint Peter the Apostle Church is a historic Roman Catholic church at 94 Somerset Street in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. Originally, St. Peter's, the first Catholic church in New Brunswick was on Bayard Street consisted mostly of Irish Catholics, and was set up in 1829. The newer church building was built in 1865 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 25, 2005 for its significance in architecture.

Winants Hall is a historic educational building located on the Queens Campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Designed by Van Campen Taylor and completed in 1890, Winants Hall is the oldest dormitory building at Rutgers University, known then as Rutgers College. The building was a gift to the university from Board of Trustees member and Bayonne businessman, Garrett E. Winants, and cost $75,000. The construction of the dormitory satisfied many long-awaited needs of the college. The new residential system also fostered a thriving social atmosphere for students, staff, and guests as it served as a student dormitory from 1890 to 1947. It is a contributing property in the Queens Campus, Rutgers University Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 2, 1973.

St. Peter the Apostle High School was a Roman Catholic high school that operated in New Brunswick, in Middlesex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen.

Geology Hall, formerly Geological Hall, also known as the Rutgers Geology Museum, is a building located in the historic Queens Campus section of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey's College Avenue Campus in New Brunswick, New Jersey, United States. When Rutgers was selected as New Jersey's only land grant college in 1864, the college began to expand its curriculum to include instruction in science and agriculture. Rutgers president William Henry Campbell raised funds to construct a building to accommodate this expansion, and Geology Hall, designed by architect Henry Janeway Hardenbergh, was built in 1872. As part of the Queen's Campus historic district, Geology Hall was included on the New Jersey Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. At present, the building houses administrative offices and the university's geological museum. The museum, the oldest collegiate geology museum in the United States, was founded by state geologist and Rutgers professor George Hammell Cook in 1872. Its exhibits showcase the natural history of New Jersey; focusing geology, paleontology, and anthropology. Exhibits include fluorescent zinc minerals from Franklin and Ogdensburg, a mastodon from Salem County, a dinosaur trackway discovered in Towaco, and a Ptolemaic era Egyptian mummy.

Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is a medical school of Rutgers University. It is one of the two graduate medical schools of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, together with New Jersey Medical School, and is closely aligned with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the medical school's principal affiliate. Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School operates campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick in New Jersey. The medical school includes 20 basic science and clinical departments and a broad range of clinical programs conducted at its 34 hospital affiliates and numerous ambulatory care sites in the region. The school is named after Robert Wood Johnson II, the former president and chairman of the board of Johnson & Johnson. Prior to July 2013, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School was part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). In 2015-16 admissions cycle, the medical school has introduced the CASPer test, developed by McMaster University Medical School in Canada, as an admissions tool.

The Main Post Office in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States was built in 1934. Located in the Civic Square government district, It was designed in Neo-Georgian architecture by Wesley Sherwood Bessell. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
