CFED-FM (Radio Cité 97,9) is a radio station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, broadcasting at 97.9 FM. A francophone community radio station for the city's Franco-Albertan community, the station was launched in 2018 by the Société de la radio communautaire du Grand Edmonton.The station's license was approved by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission in January 2017. During the station's planning phase, it received nearly $700,000 in startup grants from Western Economic Diversification Canada and the Department of Canadian Heritage.The station went on the air on October 6, 2018. Its schedule incorporates both locally produced programming and programs syndicated from the Alliance des radios communautaires du Canada and Radio France Internationale.

The Greater North Central Francophone Education Region No. 2, known in French as the Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord (CSCN), is one of Alberta's four French language school boards. French language education is intended for children who are eligible under section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Gallagher Park is a park in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is named after former mayor Cornelius Gallagher and is the site for the annual Edmonton Folk Music Festival.

The Edmonton Folk Music Festival (EFMF) is an annual four-day outdoor music event held the second weekend of August in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, established in 1980 by Don Whalen. The festival continues to draw many people from around the world as both spectators and performers. The current producer of the festival is Terry Wickham. During the daytime hours of the festival, there are six active stages hosting workshops and concerts. Food vendors number in the dozens, ranging from carnival fare to vegetarian and world cuisine. A tent village houses craftspeople and there is a CD tent where the performers' albums can be purchased. There is also a large and busy beer garden, which serves more beer than any other single event in western Canada. The EFMF relies heavily on volunteers which keeps ticket prices down. Volunteers do everything from picking garbage to working as stage hands. There are over 2700 people on the volunteer list each year.The EFMF is held at Gallagher Park, on the southern slope of the North Saskatchewan River valley. During the winter the area is a ski club. The mainstage audience seating is a natural amphitheatre with great sightlines. The skyline of downtown Edmonton acts as a backdrop for the stage. For two years, a fifth evening of music was added, with revenue from that concert being dedicated to the festival's endowment fund. Since 2011, the festival has been four days. The festival is extremely successful, and has sold out for 21 years (as of 2015) (12,000 weekend passes and 1,000 single-day tickets evenly divided between in-person and online sales) in just minutes.

École publique Gabrielle-Roy is an elementary school in the Strathearn community of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It provides public francophone education to students from Kindergarten to grade 6. École Enfantine is a preschool program located within the school for children eligible for francophone education aged 3 and 4 years old. This playschool is operated by a parent committee and Fédération des Parents Francophones de l'Alberta. The school also houses a daycare and before and after-school care program called Centre d'expérience préscolaire et parascolaire.

Mill Creek Ravine is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and is a part of the River Valley parks and trail system. It contains the last stretch of Mill Creek, before it flows into a culvert for its end run to the North Saskatchewan River. The ravine ends where the land opens onto the North Saskatchewan River valley near the west end of Cloverdale on the opposite bank from downtown.

The Tawatinâ Bridge ( də-WAH-tin-now) is an extradosed LRT bridge crossing the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta. Below the concrete box girder spans is a suspended eight-meter wide shared-use path, which was opened to the public on December 12, 2021. It will be part of Edmonton Transit Service's Valley Line extension, which is scheduled to open in 2022 (tentative). The Tawatinâ Bridge consists of two railway tracks (one northbound towards Downtown Edmonton, one southbound towards Mill Woods). Tawatinâ means "valley" in Cree. The bridge features 400 pieces of art by Métis artist David Garneau, Indigenous artists, and Regina artist Madhu Kumar with other non Indigenous artists. These are fixed to the underside of the box girder and visible from the multi-user pathway.
