Audley, known as Brown's Corners until 1857, was an unincorporated village in the Pickering Township of Ontario, Canada. In the mid-19th century, it emerged as a stopover for farmers traveling to the Whitby port, and gradually evolved into a village. Audley was located around what is now the intersection of Audley Road and Taunton Road in Ajax. In 1974, it became a part of the town of Ajax, and its name survives in Audley North and Audley South neighbourhoods of the town.

Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School is a high school located in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. It was opened in 2001 along with its twin school J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate. Notre Dame and Richardson share the same building, with Notre Dame occupying the north wing and Richardson the south. The cafeteria is the physical divider between the two high schools and is shared by both, along with the theatre and the football field. The layouts of Notre Dame and Richardson are essentially identical except for a few minor differences in the shop classrooms and the gymnasiums.

J. Clarke Richardson Collegiate is a secondary school in Ajax, Ontario, Canada. J. Clarke Richardson is run under the Durham District School Board. Richardson offers a wide range of academic and co-curricular activities for students, such as the enriched specialist high skills major program, laptop program and other activities that aid student success. Richardson Collegiate laptop program is now a 'bring your own technology' program where students use appropriate laptops and tablets, wireless network access and cloud computing as integral parts of their learning. Academic co-curricular activities include Robotics, DECA, math club, science club, and dance club. Ajax Downs is a Quarter Horse race track located in Ajax, Ontario, a suburb east of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1969 as "Picov Downs" the name was changed in 2006 with the establishment of a new slot-machine gaming facility. The slots facility is known as Casino Ajax. A full 6 furlongs (1.2 km) oval racetrack was completed in 2009. Racing is held at the track from May through October. Alex Picov came from Ukraine in 1921 and is widely credited for establishing Quarter Horse racing in Ontario. The Picov family settled in Ajax, Ontario where the Picov family's passion turned to riding horses, primarily Quarter horses. The Picovs moved the majority of Quarter Horses coming into Canada during the 1960s and 1970s. The Picovs built the Picov Downs, which opened in 1969. The location for the track was part of the family farm. Many of Canada’s top jockeys started their careers on the old "J-track". The track was renamed in 2006 to Ajax Downs with the creation of the new slots facility. A six-furlong (1 furlong = 1/8th of a mile, 660ft, 220yards, or 201.1 meters) oval racetrack was completed in 2009. The track is still operated by the Picov family, while the casino is operated by Great Canadian Entertainment. Ajax Downs is home to many stakes races, including qualifying events for the AQHA Bank of America Racing Challenge program. The Alex Picov Memorial is run yearly at Ajax Downs. It is the richest Quarter horse race in Canada. In addition, many race days have special events and fundraisers.

Heber Down Conservation Area is located in Whitby, Ontario and is owned and operated by Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority. It is located within the Lynde Creek drainage basin; it is a part of the provincially significant Heber Down Wetland Complex. The area is composed of two types of broad terrain units: a valley formed by the creek and the Glacial Lake Iroquois beach. The area provides such recreational activities as hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, and fishing.

Opened in 2004, the school hosts students in grades 9-12 and offers a wide range of academic and extra-curricular activities. The school mascot is an alligator and the school colours are orange, blue, and silver. It is adjacent to All Saints Catholic Secondary School.

Ajax (; 2016 population 119,677) is a town in Durham Region in Southern Ontario, Canada, located in the eastern part of the Greater Toronto Area.The town is named for HMS Ajax, a Royal Navy cruiser that served in the Second World War. It is approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario and is bordered by the City of Pickering to the west and north, and the Town of Whitby to the east.

Whitby is a federal electoral district (riding) in Ontario consisting of the entire town of Whitby, Ontario. The boundaries for Whitby were created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and were legally defined in the 2013 representation order. The riding came into existence upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election in October 2015. It was created out of the district of Whitby—Oshawa. It is a key Liberal-Conservative marginal seat.
