The Yeraltı Camii (lit. 'Underground Mosque') is a mosque located in the Karaköy part of the Beyoğlu district in Istanbul, Turkey. The mosque's name is derived from the fact that its prayer hall and main features of it are all underground.It is sometimes known as Kurşunlu Mahzen, as it was a place where the belongings of captured Umayyad warriors were sealed away with molten lead.

Karaköy Pier (Turkish: Karaköy iskelesi) is a ferry landing on the Golden Horn in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. Located along Rıhtım Avenue, just east of the Galata Bridge, Şehir Hatları operates many ferries from Karaköy to Kadıköy, Bostancı, Üsküdar and to piers along the Golden Horn, as far west as Eyüp. Karaköy pier first opened in 1959, replacing an older pier on the Galata Bridge, and has been rebuilt three times since. It is located on the southern shore of the historic Galata neighborhood, known today as Karaköy. Connections to the historic Tünel funicular railway, Istanbul Tram and IETT city bus service is available, as well as connection to private Turyol ferry service at the nearby Turyol pier on the west side of the Galata Bridge.

Saint Benoit (French: Saint Benoît; Turkish: Saint Benoît Latin Katolik Kilisesi; also Italian: Santa Maria della Cisterna) is a Roman Catholic Church in Istanbul, Turkey, important for historical reasons. Established in 1427, the shrine is the oldest Catholic church of Istanbul still in use.

The Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church of Galata (Western Armenian: Ղալաթայի Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսաւորիչ եկեղեցի, Ghalat’ayi Surp Krikor Lusavorich yegeghetsi; Turkish: Surp Krikor Lusavoriç Ermeni Kilisesi) is the oldest extant Armenian Apostolic church in Istanbul. It was built in the late 14th century, in the Genoan period, shortly before the fall of Constantinople to the Ottomans. Located in Galata (Karaköy), it is the city's only church built in the traditional style of the Armenian church architecture—namely with a dome with a conical roof.The Getronagan Armenian High School was established in 1886 next to the church.

Karaköy ("Black Village" in Turkish), the modern name for ancient Galata, is a commercial quarter in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Turkey, located at the northern part of the Golden Horn mouth on the European side of Bosphorus. Karaköy is one of the oldest and most historic districts of the city, and is today an important commercial center and transport hub. The location is connected with the surrounding neighborhoods through streets originating from Karaköy Square. The Galata Bridge links Karaköy to Eminönü in the southwest, Tersane Street to Azapkapı in the west, Voyvoda Street to Şişhane in the northwest, the steeply sloping Yüksek Kaldırım Street to Beyoğlu in the north, Kemeraltı Street and Necatibey Street to Tophane in the northeast. The commercial quarter, which was originally the meeting place for banks and insurance companies in the 19th century, is today also home to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and electronic parts suppliers.

Galataport is a cruise ship port and mixed-use property currently (as of early 2021) under development in the Karaköy neighbourhood of Istanbul, Turkey. It is located on the European shore of the Bosporus strait, by its confluence with the Golden Horn.The project is a joint venture between Turkey's Doğuş Group and Bilgili Holding, who have between them invested over USD 1.8 billion into it.The development occupies 1,200 metres (3,900 ft) of city-centre shoreline, which was for many years fenced off and closed to the public.It will comprise 52,000 square metres (560,000 sq ft) of floor space for retail and restaurant use, and 42,000 square metres (450,000 sq ft) for offices, as well as a hotel operated by the Peninsula Group of Hong Kong. The plans also include two museums, and 14,000 square metres (150,000 sq ft) of leisure area for events.The 2,900 square metres (31,000 sq ft) cruise terminal will be located underground beneath the complex.Galataport was originally intended to open by mid-2020, but was delayed by complications including the COVID-19 pandemic as well as labour disputes. It began to open in August 2021.

The Ashkenazi Synagogue (Turkish: Aşkenazi Sinagogu) is an Ashkenazi synagogue located near the Galata Tower in Karaköy neighborhood of Beyoğlu in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the only currently active Ashkenazi synagogue in Istanbul open to visits and prayers. The synagogue was founded by Jews of Austrian origin in 1900. It is also the last remaining synagogue from a total of three built by Ashkenazim, as the population of Ashkenazi Jews accounts for 4 percent of the total Jewish population of Turkey. Visits to the synagogue can be made during weekday mornings and for Shabbat services on Saturday mornings. The synagogue holds weddings, bar mitzvahs and other religious ceremonies in the Ashkenazi tradition. Rabbi Dr. David Marcus, who also established the Jewish school Bene Berit, served as Rabbi and spiritual leader until his death in 1938. Rabbi Mendy Chitrik, chairman of Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States, has served as the rabbi of the Ashkenazi Synagogue since 2003..

The Kılıç Ali Pasha Complex (Turkish: Kılıç Ali Paşa Külliyesi) is a mosque complex designed and built between 1580 and 1587 by Mimar Sinan, who at the time was in his 90s. The mosque itself was constructed in 1578-1580. The complex is located in the Tophane neighbourhood of the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is named after Kılıç Ali Pasha. It consists of a mosque, a medrese, a hamam, a türbe, and a fountain. Originally, it had been on the coastline, but since the sea in front of it has been filled again, it is now surrounded by other buildings. The complex was built on the orders of the Kapudan-i Derya (Grand Admiral) Kılıç Ali Pasha. When the Pasha was told to build the complex on the sea for being the Chief Captain, he had the mosque built on the land reclaimed from the sea.
