The Norfolk Confederate Monument was a Confederate memorial in front of the Norfolk Southern Museum in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. The monument was removed in June 2020.

Riverside College of Health Sciences is an American private nonprofit educational institution. It was established in 1916 at the Elizabeth Buxton Hospital School of Nursing and was later called the Riverside College of Health Careers. It is located in Newport News, Virginia and is associated with Riverside Health.

The Virginia National Bank Headquarters Historic District encompasses a skyscraper, parking garage, and public plaza in downtown Norfolk, Virginia. Bounded by East Main and Atlantic Streets, Commercial Place, and Waterside Drive, it includes the 24-story Virginia National Bank building, constructed in 1965–67 to a design by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, one of Virginia's leading architectural firms of the period. The accompanying plaza and garage formed part of the design, and are a significant example of mid-20th century architecture and landscape design principles. Its construction marked the start of a revitalization and transformation of downtown Norfolk.In late 2015, plans were announced to convert the building to a 300-unit luxury apartment tower with ground-level retail. The building has been renamed the Icon Norfolk.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Norfolk City Hall, also known as the MacArthur Memorial, is a historic city hall located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1847, and is a two-story, stuccoed and granite faced, temple-form building measuring 80 feet by 60 feet. It features a front portico supported by six massive Tuscan order columns, and a gable roof topped by a cupola. The building housed city offices until 1918, and courtrooms until 1960. In 1961, the entire building interior was gutted to house the museum and tomb of General Douglas MacArthur and his wife. The MacArthur Memorial also includes a visitor center building and a research center. Norfolk City Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

MacArthur Square is a Tide Light Rail station in Norfolk, Virginia. Opened in August 2011, it is situated in downtown Norfolk in a small block bounded by Plume Street, City Hall Avenue, Bank Street and Atlantic Street.The station is adjacent to the MacArthur Center, MacArthur Memorial (former Norfolk City Hall), the Norfolk Library Downtown Branch, the business district along Main Street, Waterside Festival Marketplace, Nauticus, and many of downtown's larger hotels. This station is also the closest to HRT's Elizabeth River Ferry service to Downtown Portsmouth.

Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel, originally built in 1976 as the Downtown Norfolk Omni International Hotel and later known as Omni Norfolk Waterside Hotel, is a 10-story structure in the business district of Norfolk, Virginia, United States. It became a Sheraton Hotel in 1998.Construction of the hotel began in 1974, and was completed in Jan. 1976 at a cost of $18 million.

Icon Norfolk (formerly Bank of America Center) in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia, United States, was the tallest building in Virginia from 1967-1971, when it was surpassed in height by Richmond City Hall. Constructed as a bank building, it was converted in the late 2010s to apartments and given its current name.

Dominion Tower is one of the distinctive and recognizable features of Downtown Norfolk, Virginia, United States. Once the tallest building in the Hampton Roads metro area, it is now the tallest building in the City of Norfolk, having been surpassed by the mid-2000s construction of the Armada Hoffler Tower and Westin Virginia Beach Town Center tower in neighboring Virginia Beach. The 26 story tower was named after the state of Virginia's nickname: "The Old Dominion". The tower's completion and opening took place in 1987. Today, various corporations have offices in the building. In late 2016, Bank of America moved its regional headquarters and affixed its signage to the building, replacing the signage of Bank of Hampton Roads, which relocated its headquarters to Virginia Beach in 2012 but maintained a branch in the building.

Old Norfolk City Hall, also known as the Seaboard Building and U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, is a historic city hall located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1898–1900, and is a three-story faced with rusticated stone and yellow brick in a Neo-Palladian Revival style. It features a central pedimented engaged portico with Corinthian order pilasters that contains the main entrance. The building housed a post office and Federal courts until they moved to the Walter E. Hoffman United States Courthouse about 1935. Title to the building was transferred from the U.S. government to the city of Norfolk in 1937, when it was converted into a city hall.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. In 2009, it became Norfolk's main library. In 2014, the library was expanded to become the Slover Branch/Downtown Norfolk Public Library; the expansion included construction of a new atrium connecting the former city hall with the neighboring Selden Arcade. The library is named in honor of Samuel L. Slover, former mayor of Norfolk.

Civic Plaza is a Tide Light Rail station in Norfolk, Virginia. It opened in 2011 and is located in the plaza in front of Norfolk City Hall, just east of St. Pauls Boulevard.The station is adjacent to several government buildings and is just north of Dominion Tower and the Elizabeth River waterfront.

Anime Mid-Atlantic was an anime convention held in June (normally on Father's Day weekend) at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott in Norfolk, Virginia. The convention was previously held in Richmond, Virginia and Chesapeake, Virginia for several years.
