Myers Field

The Williamston–Woodland Historic District encompasses a light industrial area of Norfolk, Virginia. It is roughly bounded by Omohundro Avenue on the west, 18th Street on the south, Church Street on the east, and the Norfolk and Southern Railroad tracks to the north. The area was developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and features a mix of architectural styles, from modest commercial styles to Moderne and Art Deco structures. Most of the buildings are either warehouses or light industrial plants, ranging in height from one to three stories. The land for much of this area was owned by Theodorick Williams prior to its development.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Southern Bagging Company, also known as Builders Supply Co. and Spaghetti Warehouse, is a historic factory building located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1918, and is a three-story, five bay by three bay, rectangular brick building. It has a flat roof and corbelled cornice. The building served as a manufacturing facility for bags for the shipping of cotton and agricultural products from the Norfolk harbor. The building subsequently housed Builders Supplies Corporation from 1924 to 1964. It housed a Spaghetti Warehouse restaurant from 1991 to 2001.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Elmwood Cemetery is a historic municipal cemetery located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was established in 1853, and is filled with monuments and mausoleums that embody the pathos and symbolism of the Christian view of death as a temporary sleep. A notable monument is the Recording Angel by William Couper (1853–1942) at the Couper Family plot. The Core Mausoleum (1910–1915) designed by Harold Van Buren Magonigle (1867–1935), with sculptures by Edward Field Sanford, Jr. (1886–1951), is another notable resource.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. It is contiguous with West Point Cemetery, listed in 2007.

Huntersville is a historic neighborhood in Norfolk, Virginia. It is located near downtown Norfolk. One of Norfolk's "most intact settlements remaining from the late 19th century," Huntersville "is unique because it was not planned by a company or commission, but developed over time."

Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery is a historic cemetery and national historic district located at Norfolk, Virginia. It encompasses six contributing structures and one contributing object in cemetery established in 1854 to serve the Roman Catholic communities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake. The cemetery was established by the pastor of St. Mary's Church of Norfolk. Notable features include the large bronze crucifix erected around 1922 in honor of Catholic servicemen who served in World War I and six family mausoleums.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

West Point Cemetery, also known as Potter's Field and Calvary Cemetery, is a historic cemetery and national historic district located at Norfolk, Virginia. It encompasses three contributing sites, one contributing structure, and one contributing object in an African American graveyard in downtown Norfolk. The cemetery was established in 1873, and includes a grouping of headstones marking the remains of 58 black soldiers and sailors who served in the American Civil War, and a monument honoring these veterans stands over their graves. Other notable elements include the Potter's Field, O’Rourke Mausoleum, and the West Point Cemetery entry sign.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. It is contiguous with Elmwood Cemetery, listed in 2013.

Matthew Fontaine Maury High School also known as Maury High School, is a high school located in the Ghent area of Norfolk, Virginia, United States. Maury's school mascot is the Commodore. The high school is named for Matthew Fontaine Maury. In 2007, Newsweek placed Maury High School in the top 1300 of America's Top Public High Schools. Maury High School and rival Granby High School were the only schools from the Norfolk Public School system to place. Maury High School has a Pre-Medical Health and Specialities Program for 9th-12th graders. It is the only school in the district to have this type of speciality program.

The Attucks Theatre is a historic theatre located in Norfolk, Virginia. The theatre was financed, designed and constructed by African American entrepreneurs in 1919, and was designed by Harvey Johnson, an African-American architect. The theatre was named in honor of Crispus Attucks, an African American who was the first patriot to lose his life in the Revolutionary War. When it was first opened, Attucks Theatre was known as the "Apollo Theatre of the South". The theater has hosted numerous famous entertainers throughout the early-to-mid-20th century, including Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, Red Foxx, and Louis Armstrong, as well as local stars such as Norfolk's Gary U.S. Bonds and Portsmouth's Ruth Brown.The theater was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 16, 1982. After a three-year restoration, the theatre reopened in 2004 as a partnership between the City of Norfolk's Department of Cultural Facilities and the Crispus Attucks Cultural Center. Performers at the theatre since its reopening have included Wynton Marsalis and Audra McDonald.The theatre is located at the intersection of Church Street and Virginia Beach Boulevard, near Norfolk's entertainment and cultural attractions, including Harbor Park, Harrison Opera House, Norfolk Scope, Wells Theatre and Waterside.

First Calvary Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located in Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1915 and 1916 and is a four-story, 11 bay, brick church building in the Second Renaissance Revival style. The building features decorative terra cotta and a stained-glass dome. It has a two-tier, engaged entrance portico with fluted columns, Corinthian order capitals, and terra cotta entablatures. The building also has a three-stage bell tower.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Queen Street Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1910–1911, and is a rectangular one-story brick church in the Late Gothic Revival style. The façade and side elevations have Gothic pointed arch windows and the church is topped by a spire that rests atop the roof at the façade. An educational annex was built in 1952, and expanded in 1957. The Queen Street Baptist Church congregation dates to 1884.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Norfolk Municipal Auditorium was a 5,200 seat multi-purpose arena and music venue in Norfolk, Virginia, USA that opened in May 1943. The arena was constructed after the City of Norfolk and the military found a need to construct an entertainment venue in the city after the population of the city doubled between 1938 and 1941 as a result of World War II-related military buildup.The building remains standing but has been converted into a storage and administrative facility for the adjoining Harrison Opera House.

The Norfolk Auto Row Historic District encompasses a commercial district just outside the downtown area of Norfolk, Virginia. The area is bounded on the south by West Brambleton Avenue, on the east by Monticello Avenue, on the north by East 13th Street, and on the west by Llewelllyn Avenue and Granby and Boush streets. The area was originally developed as a low-income housing area early in the 20th century, but was by the mid-20th century completely transformed into an area of commercial development, mainly for the sales and service of automobiles. The district features buildings that are mostly one and two stories, although there is one 14-story skyscraper. One notable structure in the district is the Harrison Opera House, built in 1944 as an Army and Navy USO facility; it served as the city's major performance venue until it was eclipsed in 1970 by the construction of the Norfolk Scope arena.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, and was enlarged in 2019.
