Kesh railway station

Kesh (from Irish Ceis 'wicker bridge') is a village in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It is on the Kesh River about 1 mile (1.6 km) from Lower Lough Erne. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 1,039 people. It is within Fermanagh and Omagh district. Because of its location close to Lough Erne the village has been a popular tourist resort. It has two caravan parks, a small attractive marina and other related industries both within its boundaries and the surrounding area. It is about 5 miles (8 km) from the border with the Republic of Ireland and 22 miles (35 km) from the Atlantic coast resort of Rossnowlagh in County Donegal, thus adding to its popularity with holiday makers, day-trippers and weekenders.

On 2 December 1984, a four-man Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) active service unit was ambushed by a British Army Special Air Service team while attempting to bomb a Royal Ulster Constabulary patrol who they had lured to Drumrush Lodge Restaurant. Two IRA volunteers and one SAS soldier were killed during the action.

Crevenish Castle is a ruined castle and bawn in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, 3k south-west of Kesh at grid ref: H165626. It is privately owned.

White Island is an island in Lower Lough Erne, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It is situated in Castle Archdale Bay off the east shore of Lower Lough Erne. The ruins of an ancient church are found near the shore, built on the site of an earlier monastic settlement. It still has an intact arched Romanesque doorway. The Church and carved figures are State Care Historic Monuments sited in the townland of White Island, in Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, at grid ref: H1753 6000. The rath, earthwork, and area surrounding the state care monument are Scheduled Historic Monuments, at grid ref: H1753 6000. Royal Air Force Castle Archdale or more simply RAF Castle Archdale, also known for a while as RAF Lough Erne is a former Royal Air Force station used for flying boats by the RAF and the Royal Canadian Air Force in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Castle Archdale in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland is a former estate on the shores of Lough Erne Lower, the key feature of which today is Castle Archdale Country Park. There is also a caravan park. The former estate is situated near Lisnarick and Irvinestown, in the broader hinterland of Enniskillen, and the park is owned and run by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.

Lisnarick or Lisnarrick (from Irish: Lios na nDaróg, meaning 'fort of the (little) oaks') is a small village in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, 4 km west of Irvinestown. It is situated in the civil parish of Derryvullan and historic barony of Lurg. The village was once known as Archdalestown after the nearby Castle Archdale. In the 2011 Census it had a population of 238.The village is mostly housing although there is one multi-purpose store, a restaurant, a filling station and a sub-post office. At the middle of the village is a green with horse chestnut trees and a play park. There is also a rath beside the bridge.

Ederney (from Irish: Eadarnaidh, meaning 'middle place/place between') is a village situated primarily in the townlands of Drumkeen and of Ederny in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. At the 2011 Census it had a population of 587. Ederney lies in the Glendarragh River Valley near Lower Lough Erne and Kesh. It is 83 miles (134 km) from Belfast, over 100 miles (160 km) from Dublin and about 16 miles from both Omagh and Enniskillen. The village and its hinterland (the Glendarragh Valley area) has a population of several thousand.Due to Ederney's position adjacent to Lough Erne the village is located on a tourist route. It is approximately 7 miles (11 km) from the border with the Republic of Ireland and 24 miles (39 km) from the west of Ireland tourism trail, the Wild Atlantic Way, in County Donegal.

Ederney Town Hall, also styled as Ederney Townhall, is a municipal structure in Market Street, Ederney, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The structure, which is used as a community events venue, is a Grade B1 listed building.

Ederney St Joseph's is a Gaelic football club based in the village of Ederney, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.

Drumskinny (from Irish Droim Scine 'ridge of the knife/edge') is the site of a stone circle in the townland of Drumskinny, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. With the inclusion of an adjacent cairn and alignment, the stone circle is a State Care Historic Monument in Fermanagh and Omagh district, at grid ref: H 2009 7072. The site was excavated in 1962 and is believed to have been built around 2000 BC.There are also two other townlands in Northern Ireland called Drumskinny: in the civil parish of Clonfeacle in County Tyrone; and in the civil parish of Dromore also in County Tyrone.

Fermanagh District Council was a local council in Northern Ireland. It was created out of Fermanagh County Council and later merged with Omagh District Council in April 2015 under local government reorganisation to become Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. The borders of the district were very similar to those of the traditional County Fermanagh, containing all of that county plus a small section of County Tyrone in the Dromore Road (Irvinestown ward) and Kilskeery Road areas. Council headquarters were in Enniskillen.
