Joseph J. Oller House

Borough Hall of the Borough of Waynesboro is a historic borough hall in Waynesboro in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1881 by the town council as a public theater and fire station and named the Academy of Music. The first lecture at the theater, "The Rise and Fall of the Moustache", was given by Robert Burdette, one of over 3,000 times he gave the lecture throughout the country. The theater hosted the first motion picture shown in Waynesboro in 1906. The three-story, square brick building in an Italianate style, modified by Second Empire-style motifs. The building features a mansard roof with straight sides, a central pavilion extending approximately two stories above the roofline, cast-iron roof cresting, and eyebrow-like window heads. When built, the building housed a number of functions including theater, public market, and library. It has housed solely borough offices since 1976. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Alexander Hamilton House is a historic home located at 45 East Main Street in Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. It is now operated as the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library. The house and library are named for Alexander Hamilton, a local Waynesboro land speculator and wagon maker who owned the house (not the Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill). It remained in his family for a century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 1980. Built around 1816 by John Bittinger, the two-story, five-bay Georgian-style, 16-room brick house has dual fireplace chimneys. It was purchased by Waynesboro's Alexander Hamilton in 1842. The house remained in the family until the 1943 death of Hamilton's granddaughter, Jane Stover Yost. She bequeathed the property to the Borough of Waynesboro for the town's first permanent public library. The McCleary house, once located on the east side of the library, was demolished to make way for a library wing added in 1987. The back yard contains a summer kitchen from the Hamilton era. It also has some old gristmill grinding stones donated by Sammy Stoner. The brick courtyard and flower gardens are open to visitors.

Located on the southern border of the state, Waynesboro is in the Cumberland Valley between Hagerstown, Maryland, and Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. It is part of Chambersburg, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is part of the Washington–Baltimore combined statistical area. It is two miles north of the Mason–Dixon line and close to Camp David and the Raven Rock Mountain Complex. The population within the borough limits was 10,951 at the 2020 census. When combined with the surrounding Washington and Quincy Townships, the population of greater Waynesboro is 31,166. The Waynesboro Area School District serves a resident population of 33,182, according to 2020 federal census data.

Waynesboro Armory is a historic National Guard armory located at Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1938, and is a one-story, "I"-plan brick building in the Moderne style. It consists of three sections: administration building, drill hall, and stable. Its construction was funded in part by the Public Works Administration. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Waynesboro Area Senior High School is a midsized, suburban public high school located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. It is the sole high school operated by the Waynesboro Area School District. It serves the boroughs of Waynesboro and Mont Alto, as well as all of Washington Township and Quincy Township, and a portion of Guilford Township. In 2013, enrollment was reported as 1,272 pupils in 9th through 12th grades. Waynesboro Area Senior High School employed 87 teachers. Per the PA Department of Education 1% of the teachers were rated "Non‐Highly Qualified" under the federal No Child Left Behind Act. Students may choose to attend Franklin Virtual Academy which is an online education program operated by a cooperative agreement of local Franklin County public school districts. Additionally, students may choose to attend Franklin County Career and Technology Center for training in the construction, mechanical trades. web development and technology careers, culinary arts, landscaping, cosmetology, and allied health services.

Springdale Mills, also known as Shank's Mill and Shockey Mills, is a historic grist mill located at Washington Township in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1857, and is a 3 1/-2-story, banked brick building with a fieldstone foundation. A 24-foot diameter Fitz overshot wheel was installed between 1900 and 1910. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
