Giheung station

Giheung-gu is a gu (district) in Yongin, South Korea. It has 10 dong (neighborhoods). Its area is 81.67 km2 and it has 439.877 inhabitants (in 2022). Giheung-gu was formed in 2005. It was formed with other gu in Yongin in 2005.

Korean Folk Village (Korean: 한국민속촌) is a living museum type of tourist attraction in the city of Yongin, a satellite city in the Seoul Metropolitan Area in the province of Gyeonggi in South Korea. It was first opened on October 3, 1974 (ground breaking in 1973 and completion in 1974). Korean Folk Village is a popular tourist destination for both Koreans and foreigners, located near South Korea's largest amusement park, Everland. Real houses from across the country were relocated and restored to create a replica of a village from the late Joseon period. Events such as celebrating seasonal changes and traditional performances are held in KFV. The village is set up in a natural environment occupying 300,000 Korean pyeong (245 acres; 991,735 m2; 10,674,952 sq ft). Over 260 traditional houses reminiscent of the late Joseon Dynasty can be found there. The purpose of the Korean Folk Village is to display elements of traditional Korean life and culture. There are multiple sections to the park, including numerous replicas of traditional houses of the different social classes (peasant, landowner, yangban) from various regions.

Kangnam University is a private university in Yongin, South Korea. Founded July 1, 1946 by Reverend Yi Ho-bin as the Choong-ang Theology Institute, the school initially met at a lecture hall in the local YMCA in Seoul, South Korea. The university holds the spirit of Gyeongcheonanein, which means 'to worship the heavens and love mankind'. The institution eventually moved in 1967 to Jangsa-dong in Seoul and then to the Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu in 1974. In 1976, the school was renamed the Kangnam Social Welfare School; the name, which the university kept to this day, comes from its city ward at the time. In 1980, the school moved to its present location in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Kangnam received its university accreditation in 1992. EverLine has a station nearby.

Cheongmyeong Station is a subway station of the Suin–Bundang Line, the commuter subway line of Korail, the national railway of South Korea. The station was opened in December 2012 as part of the Mangpo extension of the Bundang Line. The station is located at 1055 Yeongtong-dong, Yeongtong-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do and serves Yeongtong-dong and Yeongtong-gu. It has two side platforms with two tracks running between them and is located underground at an approximate depth of 28 meters. It also serves as an important transportation hub connecting to Wangsimni or Cheongnyangni Stations on Seoul Subway Lines 2 & 5 respectively. The station features a number of amenities including ticket vending machines, elevators, escalators and restrooms. It also provides transfer access to bus routes and multiple intercity buses as well as bike rental services. Additionally, there are various shops located within the premises that offer food and beverages for commuters. Cheongmyeong Station is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week allowing passengers to travel conveniently without any time restrictions. The station's name derives from its native Korean name 청명 (Cheonmgyeong) which literally means "clear brightness". In hanja script it is written 淸明驛 meaning "clear bright station".

Singal Station is a subway station of the Suin–Bundang Line. It was opened in December 2011, as part of the Giheung extension of the Bundang Line. A station on the now-abandoned, former Suryeo Line (1930–72) was also referred to by this name.
