Reid Hall, also known as "The Castle," is a historic academic building located on the campus of Manhattanville College at Purchase, Westchester County, New York, United States. The Renaissance Revival structure was built in 1892 as a 50,000 sq ft (4,600 m2) private home for publisher and diplomat Whitelaw Reid, with estate landscaping by Frederick Law Olmsted.

Manhattanville College is a private university in Purchase, New York. Founded in 1841 at 412 Houston Street in lower Manhattan, it was initially known as Academy of the Sacred Heart, then after 1847 as Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart. In 1917, the academy received a charter from the Regents of the State of New York to raise the school officially to a collegiate level granting degrees as the College of the Sacred Heart. In 1952 it moved to its current location in the hamlet of Purchase, New York, a suburb north of New York City. Purchase is inside the town and village of Harrison in Westchester County. Approximately 1,100 undergraduate and 900 graduate students attend Manhattanville, with students coming from 45+ countries and 35+ American states.The architectural and administrative centerpiece of the Manhattanville campus is Reid Hall (1864) which was named after Whitelaw Reid, publisher and owner of the New-York Tribune, one of the leading newspapers in the nation for a century. Next to Reid Hall stand academic buildings on one side and on the other residence halls around a central quad designed by the landscaping / architect Frederick Law Olmsted, also the designer of New York's landmark Central Park in the 1850s and 1860s. The Manhattanville community regards the central quad and buildings as representing the academic vision of the institution's commitment to integrated learning and centered strengths. Other historic buildings include: the Lady Chapel; the President's Cottage known as the Barbara Debs House; the old Stables; and Water Tower.

Keio Academy of New York (慶應義塾ニューヨーク学院, Keiō Gijuku Nyūyōku Gakuin, Keio NY) is a private high school in Purchase, Harrison, New York in the New York City metropolitan area. It is sponsored by Keio University, making it an overseas branch of a Japanese private school, or a Shiritsu zaigai kyōiku shisetsu (私立在外教育施設).After the retirement of the Head of School, Ralph Townsend who served from August 2019, the executive director, Motohiro Tsuchiya (vice-president of Keio University) concurrently served. Later, Takayuki Tatsumi, Professor Emeritus of Keio University, was appointed as the Headmaster in January 2022.

The State University of New York at Purchase (commonly Purchase College or SUNY Purchase) is a public liberal arts college in Purchase, New York. It is one of 13 comprehensive colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. It was founded by Governor Nelson Rockefeller in 1967 as "the cultural gem of the SUNY system." Purchase College confers the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Music (MusB), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA), and the Master of Music (MM). As a requirement for the BA and BS degree, students undertake a senior project in which they devote two semesters to an in-depth, original, and creative study under the close supervision of a faculty mentor. Similarly, the BFA and MusB studies culminate in a senior exhibition, film, or recital. Master's degree programs culminate in a thesis and the MFA and MM culminate in an exhibition, recital, or related presentation.

The Mastercard International Global Headquarters is an office building located at 2000 Purchase Street in the hamlet of Purchase, New York. It was constructed in the early 1980s as part of a movement of large corporations onto suburban estate settings, and has been called the "architectural jewel of Westchester". The building is part of the Purchase Centre complex and originally was constructed by the Nestlé company and occupied by IBM for several years. It was designed by I. M. Pei of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and has won awards over the years for its architectural style.

The Stouffer’s Inn fire occurred on Thursday, December 4, 1980, at the Stouffer's Inn of Westchester (now the Renaissance Westchester Hotel, part of Renaissance Hotels) in West Harrison, New York. The fire killed 26 people, most through smoke inhalation, specifically carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, and nitrogen dioxide. The fire is considered the biggest disaster in Westchester County history.

Texaco Headquarters is a corporate campus in White Plains, New York. When it opened in 1977, the building became the new head office of Texaco, which had been based in the Chrysler Building in Manhattan since 1930. Design was undertaken by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, who assigned the project to J. Walter Severinghaus. After Chevron acquired Texaco in October 2001, the building was purchased by Morgan Stanley in March 2002.

The Donald M. Kendall Sculpture Gardens is a collection of 45 pieces of outdoor sculpture at the PepsiCo world headquarters in Purchase, New York. The collection includes work from major modern sculptors including Auguste Rodin, Henry Moore, Alexander Calder, and Alberto Giacometti. The collection, which also features works by Henri Laurens, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Richard Erdman, Jean Dubuffet, and Claes Oldenburg, focuses on major 20th-century art. The sculpture "gardens" mostly consist of park-like landscaping, including lawns, trees, ponds, and fountains, as well as landscaped gardens with a topiary, tended hedges, flower beds and water-lily ponds.The sculpture collection is meant to "exist in harmony on approximately 168 acres (0.68 km2) of carefully tended landscape", according to a PepsiCo pamphlet about the gardens, and expansion of the collection occurred after the headquarters had been built and the gardens had begun to take shape. The gardens themselves were, in turn, designed with regard to the sculpture in the collection, and all were meant by the former PepsiCo chairman and founder of the gardens, Donald M. Kendall, to help create an atmosphere of "stabiity, creativity and experimentation that would reflect his vision of the company", according to the pamphlet. Kendall continued to be involved with the collection and the gardens after he stepped down as leader of the company.

Westchester County Airport (IATA: HPN, ICAO: KHPN, FAA LID: HPN) is a county-owned airport in Westchester County, New York, three miles (6 km) northeast of downtown White Plains, with territory in the towns of North Castle and Harrison, New York, and village of Rye Brook, New York. It is sometimes referred to as the White Plains Airport and is so identified by the Official Airline Guide (OAG).The airport primarily serves Westchester County, New York, and Fairfield County, Connecticut; the New York–Connecticut state border runs along its eastern perimeter. Being approximately 33 miles (53 km) north of Midtown Manhattan, it is also considered a satellite or reliever airport for the New York metropolitan area. HPN is currently serviced by 5 airlines, including regional code-sharing affiliates with scheduled flights for their major airline partners, to 19 destinations throughout the United States with 1 more coming soon. 3 scheduled charter airlines also offer flights and the New York Knicks and Rangers use the airport for charter flights during the season. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized HPN as a primary commercial service airport. Per Federal Aviation Administration records, the airport had 904,482 passenger enplanements in calendar year 2008, 964,927 in 2009, and 999,831 in 2010.

The Harrison New York Temple, previously known as the White Plains New York Temple, was a planned temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) that was to be constructed in Harrison, New York. Construction of the temple was to take place on a 24-acre site purchased by the LDS Church at the intersection of Interstate 287 and Hutchinson River Parkway. Reportedly, efforts had been underway until 2004, but construction was never started and eventually suspended. After delays by lawsuits and objections by local officials, this temple was removed from the list on the LDS Church's official temple website soon after the dedication of the Manhattan New York Temple. Any decision to build a temple on this site would constitute a new announcement.

St. Paul is a Roman Catholic church in the Glenville section of Greenwich, Connecticut, part of the Diocese of Bridgeport. This is one of the only parishes in Connecticut that also serve parishioners who live in New York.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 1949, is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to fighting blood cancer in the world. The LLS's mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.LLS is headquartered in Rye Brook, New York, with 56 chapters throughout the United States and five chapters in Canada. LLS has six signature fundraising campaigns: Team In Training, the largest charitable endurance training program in the world; Light The Night, an annual series of community-based walkathons; Man & Woman of the Year, a series of annual ten-week long, community-based competitions in which adults raise funds in honour of local children who have survived blood cancer; Students of the Year, an annual series of seven-week long, community-based fundraising competitions amongst high school students; Leukemia Cup Regatta, a series of fundraising sailing events held by yacht clubs across North America; and Pennies for Patients, a programme providing North American elementary and middle schools with access to STEM curricula.
