The River Ferta or Fertha is a river in County Kerry in Ireland. It flows from the southwestern MacGillycuddy Reeks above Teeromoyle and travels ten miles before flowing into Valentia Harbour. The principal town in the region, Cahersiveen, is located close to the mouth of the river. There are two crossings at Cahersiveen: an old railway bridge and a single carriageway used by cars. The town also has an artificial marina built in the early 2000s. A crossing over a tributary of the Ferta called the Cahran River was opened in 1992 in the same place that a previous crossing stood at Cahran Road.

Coláiste na Sceilge

Coláiste na Sceilge is a secondary school in Cahersiveen, County Kerry, Ireland. It is a co-educational community school which grew out of the amalgamation in 1999 of St John Bosco Secondary School, Scoil Uí Chonaill and Waterville Vocational School. In 2018, the former Kerry footballer Maurice Fitzgerald was appointed as its principal. As of 2019, it had an enrollment of 511 secondary school students. The school offers courses under the Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate (including Leaving Certificate Applied and Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme) curriculum. The school has won a number of provincial and national titles in Gaelic football.

It is located in north central Iveragh Peninsula on the southwest coast of Ireland opposite Valentia Island about 5 miles west of Cahersiveen. Reenard is connected to the Irish road network by a road crossing the N70 national secondary route at Point's Cross. Reenard Point, located in the townland, is the mainland terminal for the car ferry to Knightstown on Valentia Island.
