Cappamore (Irish: An Cheapach Mhór, meaning 'the large tillage plot') is a small town in northeast County Limerick in the midwest of Ireland. It is also a parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly.

Glenstal Abbey is a Benedictine monastery of the Congregation of the Annunciation located in Murroe, County Limerick, Ireland. It is dedicated to Saint Joseph and Saint Columba. The current abbot of the monastery is Brendan Coffey.

Pallasgreen or Pallasgrean (Irish: Pailís Ghréine, meaning 'stockade of Grian') is a village in east County Limerick, Ireland. It is on the Limerick–Tipperary N24 road around 20 kilometres (12 mi) southeast of Limerick city. The name means "the Stockade of Grian," referring to an ancient Irish Goddess of Love, who is associated with the nearby hill of Nicker. Approximately 2 km south of Pallasgreen is the related village, Old Pallas, and roughly three miles south of Pallasgreen is Sarsfield's Rock, a large rocky outcrop near the church of Templebraden. This rocky outcrop looks down on the site where Patrick Sarsfield destroyed the Williamite artillery during the Jacobite-Williamite War. The rock itself has views of the surrounding hills and fields. Irish American hammer thrower, Patrick Ryan was born at Old Pallas near Pallasgreen in 1881.The village of Pallasgreen is served by a service station, a butcher, a post office, an insurance broker, four pubs, two mechanics, a Chinese takeaway, a chipper, two hairdressers, and a sit-down/takeaway restaurant.The Pallasgreen Gaelic Athletic Association club play in the colours of blue and gold, identical to the colours of County Tipperary, whose border is just six miles away. The parish of Pallasgreen and Templebraden also has connections with this bordering county as it is one of a number of parishes in east County Limerick which form part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. The parish had originally been part of the ancient diocese of Emly until it joined with Cashel in 1718. Public transportation is provided by Bus Éireann and local company, Kelly Travel.

The Slieve Felim Mountains (Irish: Sliabh Eibhlinne) are a mountain range in Munster, Ireland. They cover parts of County Limerick and County Tipperary. Historically, the name "Slieve Felim" meant the whole mountainous area between Murroe, Silvermines, Borrisoleigh and Dundrum, including the Silvermine Mountains and Mauherslieve. However, today the name usually only applies to the southwestern part, made up of Slieve Felim (427 metres (1,401 ft)), Cullaun (460 metres (1,510 ft)), Knockastanna (444 metres (1,457 ft)) and Gortnageragh (418 metres (1,371 ft)).Sliabh Eibhlinne means "mountains of Ébliu", an ancient goddess. In the Lebor Gabála Érenn (The Book of the Taking of Ireland), the newly-arrived Milesians meet the goddess Fódla on these mountains, and she asks them to name the island after her. Fódla thus became a poetic name for Ireland. In the early modern era, the name Eibhlinne became confused with the more common male name Féilim, and so the mountains became known in English as Slieve Felim.

Abington is a civil parish which lies partly in County Tipperary (in the barony of Owney and Arra) and partly in County Limerick (partly in Limerick city and partly in the baronies of Clanwilliam and Owneybeg).It was home for a time to the author Sheridan Le Fanu. Le Fanu stayed in the parish as a child while his father was the rector of Abington Anglican Church.By statute, the parish contains 32,200 acres (13,000 ha), of which 12,290 acres (4,970 ha) are in County Tipperary. Of the 19,280 acres (7,800 ha) in County Limerick, 708 acres (287 ha) are in the liberties of the city of Limerick and the remainder are split between the baronies of Clanwilliam and Owneybeg. The hamlet and townland of Abington is in the County Limerick part of the parish.

Abington (Irish: Mainistir Uaithne) is a townland in the civil parish of Abington in County Limerick, Ireland. The ruins of the mediaeval Abbey of Woney are located in the local graveyard. The local Church of Ireland church, Saint John's church, designed by James Rawson Carroll and built in 1869, is in the Diocese of Limerick and Killaloe.As of the 2011 census, Abington townland had a population of 139 people.

The Cistercian Abbey of Woney (Irish, Mainistir Uaithne), also written Wotheny or Owney, on the banks of the Mulkear River in Abington, County Limerick, was founded in 1205 when Theobald Walter (le Botiller) granted the whole "theodum" (believed to be an error, which should have been feodum) of Woodenikuwice for the purpose. Traces of the architecture and layout of the monastery may still seen in the graveyard in the hamlet of Abington, just south of Murroe. In the early fourteenth century the possessions of the abbey included the lands of Athnid parish in County Tipperary.Around 1563, the abbey and all its possessions were granted by Elizabeth I to a Captain Walshe who erected a new house near the old buildings. In 1609, part of the lands which formerly belonged to the abbey were conveyed by Sir E. Walsh to Sir Richard Boyle. In the war of 1641 the estates granted to the Walshe family were forfeited to the Crown.

Doon (Irish: Dún Bleisce) is a village in east County Limerick, Ireland, close to the border of County Tipperary. It is also a civil parish in the historic barony of Coonagh. and is an ecclesiastical parish in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cashel and Emly. The name Doon, deriving from the common Irish place name term Dún meaning "fort", can also be found as the name of various different townlands in Ireland.

Doon GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club, founded in 1888. It is based in the village of Doon in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is part of the East Division of the Limerick GAA and has a tremendous record at underage level, but has yet to win a County Senior Hurling Championship. The club only plays hurling, but footballers in the parish play with neighbouring Oola. The manager is Austin Buckley.
