St. Pauli (Sankt Pauli; German: [ˌzaŋkt ˈpaʊli] (listen)) is a quarter of the city of Hamburg belonging to the centrally located Hamburg-Mitte borough. Situated on the right bank of the Elbe river, the nearby Landungsbrücken is a northern part of the port of Hamburg. St. Pauli contains a world-famous red-light district around the iconic Reeperbahn area. As of 2020 the area had 21,902 residents.

Sternschanze (German pronunciation ) (lit. Star Sconce) is a quarter in the center of Hamburg (Germany) within the Altona borough. In 2014, the population was 7,776 on an area of 0.6 sq km with a density of 14,113 inhabitants per sq km. After Reeperbahn, it is Hamburg's best known entertainment and nightlife district. It is also known as Schanzenviertel (German pronunciation ) and nicknamed Schanze (German pronunciation ).

The Rote Flora is a former theatre in the Sternschanze district of Hamburg, Germany. It has been squatted since November 1989 as a self-managed social centre. The collective said in 2001 "We are the 'UFO in the neighbourhood.' The black hole in public space. The City won't get rid of us because we are a part of what life is."

Millerntor-Stadion (German pronunciation: [ˈmɪlɐntoːɐ̯ˌʃtaːdi̯ɔn] (listen)) is a multi-purpose stadium in the St. Pauli area of Hamburg, Germany. Best known as the home ground of football club FC St. Pauli, it is on the Heiligengeistfeld near the Reeperbahn, the red light district of Hamburg. The stadium had a capacity of 32,000 when it was built in 1961. It is also used by the Blue Devils American football team, and as a concert venue, including a performance by Prince in 1988. FC St Pauli celebrated their centenary festival at the stadium in 2010.

Feldstraße station is a metro station located in St. Pauli, Hamburg, Germany. It is served by Hamburg U-Bahn line U3 (Ring line); the station handles an average of around 14,000 passengers per day.

The Gruenspan (or Grünspan) is a music club in Hamburg, Germany. It was founded in 1968 as a music club and event centre, in a former movie theatre situated in Grosse Freiheit, next to the Reeperbahn. The club became known for concerts and progressive rock. The building, situated at a corner, seats 800. Its exterior, painted by Hamburg artists Dieter Glasmacher and Werner Nöfer, was restored in 1995 when the building was overhauled. In November 1998, it hosted a Rockpalast concert with R.E.M. It was also a venue in Primal Scream tours.

Sternschanze is a rapid transit station for the trains of Hamburg S-Bahn lines S11, S21 and S31 and Hamburg U-Bahn line U3. The railway station is located in the quarter Sternschanze in the Hamburg borough of Altona, Germany. North of the railway station is a bus stop for the terminating HHA bus route 181.

Kaiserkeller is a music club in the St. Pauli quarter of Hamburg, Germany, near the Reeperbahn. It was opened by Bruno Koschmider on 14 October 1959. The Beatles had a contract with Kaiserkeller to play there in 1960.

The Star-Club was a music club in Hamburg, Germany, that opened on Friday 13 April 1962, and was initially operated by Manfred Weissleder and Horst Fascher. In the 1960s, many of the giants of rock music played at the club. The club closed on 31 December 1969 and the building it occupied was destroyed by a fire in 1987. The address of the club was Große Freiheit 39 in the St. Pauli quarter of Hamburg. Große Freiheit is a side street of the Reeperbahn. The club had a capacity of 2,000 people, and cinema-style seating.The club achieved worldwide renown through the performances of the Beatles, who played there 13 April – 31 May, 1–14 November, and 18–31 December 1962. A performance or parts of several performances from the end of the latter stay was or were recorded on a home tape machine, and a remixed version was released in 1977 as Live! at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962. The Beatles' first Hamburg Club performance was at the Indra Club (also on Große Freiheit) on 17 August 1960.

The Top Ten Club was a music club in Hamburg's St. Pauli district at Reeperbahn 136, which opened on 31 October 1960 and kept its name until 1994. In 1961, the Beatles performed 92 times at the Top Ten Club.

The Hotel Luxor, also known as the Mehrer Hotel was the oldest brothel in Hamburg until its closure in April 2008. It was located on Große Freiheit in St. Pauli red-light district and first opened in 1948.

The Große Freiheit (German for: "Great Freedom") is a cross street on the North Side to Hamburg's Reeperbahn road in the St. Pauli quarter. It is part of the red-light district.
