The Archdiocese of Atlanta is a Latin Church ecclesiastical jurisdiction, or archdiocese, of the Catholic Church in the United States. Its territory contains Georgia's northern counties, including the capital of Atlanta. The archdiocese is led by a prelate archbishop, who also serves as pastor of the mother church, the Cathedral of Christ the King in Atlanta.The cathedral is the metropolitan see of the Catholic Ecclesiastical Province of Atlanta, which covers Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. The archdiocese reported 102 parishes and missions, and 1,200,000 registered Catholics, as of 2020.

Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit High School is a college preparatory school located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Opened in 2014, it is in the Cristo Rey Network of schools, with work-study integrated into its program. It serves only low-income students and financial need is a first criterion for admission.

North Avenue is an underground train station in southern Midtown Atlanta, GA, serving the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. Named after the nearby North Avenue. The walls are made of white tile and painted with a mural of green hills, a blue sky, and clouds. The murals were designed by Gordon Anderson while he was a Professor of Art at Georgia State University. It is among the busiest stations in the system with an average of 15,000 boardings per weekday. The station has a direct entrance to the AT&T Midtown Center and is actually located in the skyscraper's basement. It provides access to the Baltimore Block, Bank of America Plaza, Center for the Visually Impaired, Bobby Dodd Stadium, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Georgia Institute of Technology, Shakespeare Tavern, The Varsity, Rufus M. Rose House, The Fox Theatre, and the Georgian Terrace Hotel. It also provides connecting bus service to The Carter Center, the communities of Edgewood and Inman Park, Fulton County Sheriffs Headquarters and Jail, Coca-Cola headquarters, Bauder College, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Piedmont Park and Ferst Center for the Arts.

The Fox Theatre (often marketed as the Fabulous Fox), a former movie palace, is a performing arts venue located at 660 Peachtree Street NE in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, and is the centerpiece of the Fox Theatre Historic District. The theater was originally planned as part of a large Shrine Temple as evidenced by its Moorish design. The 4,665-seat auditorium was ultimately developed as a lavish movie theater in the Fox Theatres chain and opened in 1929. It hosts a variety of cultural and artistic events including the Atlanta Ballet, a summer film series, and performances by national touring companies of Broadway shows. The venue also hosts occasional concerts by popular artists.

The Fox Theatre Historic District is located in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and consists of the following buildings: the Fox Theatre (Oliver Vinour et al., 1929) William Lee Stoddart's Georgian Terrace Hotel (1911), site of the 1939 gala ball for the premiere of Gone with the Wind, the film Stoddart's Italianate (or Beaux-Arts/Renaissance-revival) Ponce de Leon Apartments (1913) the Cox-Carlton Hotel (Pringle and Smith, 1925), originally built as a bachelor hotel but now a Hotel Indigo.

All Saints' Episcopal Church is an Episcopal church in Atlanta, Georgia. The church was founded in 1903, with the current building constructed in 1906.

The Fire Station No. 11 in Atlanta, Georgia, at 30 North Ave., was built in 1907. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It was designed by architects Morgan & Dillon. It is a two-story brick building "with restrained Beaux-Arts detailing. The front (south) elevation is pierced by two Italianate-arched truck bays."It was the first fire station to respond to the Winecoff Hotel fire in 1946. The building had been renovated and for a brief period was called "Engine 11 Firehouse Tavern". In 2014 Alan Phillip Clark Architects, LLC assisted a restaurant group from New York City with the re-imagination of the interior spaces of the historic building. The redesign altered the 1907 masonry two story building into a high-end Caribbean restaurant, called “NEGRIL VILLAGE”. Alan Clark Architects, LLC designed the kitchen, and changed the second floor into a meeting room/party room by opening a wall and adding complementary wood paneling. The new work complemented existing trim and woodwork, and worked within the guidelines of the City of Atlanta's Urban Design Commission, and the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for Preservation, Section 106.

The 688 Club was a popular alternative music venue in Atlanta, Georgia, located at 688 Spring Street, near the intersection of Spring and 3rd Streets. The 688 Club opened in May 1980 and closed in November 1986. The club was operated by Steve May. The club was co-owned by Tony Evans, John Wicker, and in its final years by Mike Hendry. Cathy Hendrix served as the club's music director. During its brief lifetime, the 688 played host to hundreds of punk rock, new wave and alternative rock bands, many of whom would later become well known.During the early 1980s, the 688 Club was the primary place for up-and-coming bands from Atlanta and Athens, Georgia, to get noticed. Among the groups that regularly played there were R.E.M. and Pylon. The club spun off an independent record label, 688 Records, which survived for a time even after 688 Club had closed. Dash Rip Rock's self-titled debut LP was the first album released by 688 Records.

Bank of America Plaza is a supertall skyscraper between Midtown Atlanta and Downtown Atlanta. At 311.8 m (1,023 ft), the tower is the 125th-tallest building in the world . It is the 23rd tallest building in the U.S., the tallest building in the Southeastern region of the United States, and the tallest building in any U.S. state capital, overtaking the 250 m (820 ft), 50-story One Atlantic Center in height, which held the record as Georgia's tallest building. It has 55 stories of office space and was completed in 1992, when it was called NationsBank Plaza. Originally intended to be the headquarters for Citizens & Southern National Bank (which merged with Sovran Bank during construction), it became NationsBank's property following its formation in the 1991 hostile takeover of C&S/Sovran by NCNB.

Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom was a music venue located in Atlanta, Georgia that existed between 1974 and 1979. The original owners were Alex Cooley and Mark Golob. It was located in the Grand Ballroom of the Georgian Terrace Hotel at 663 Peachtree Street NE. It became the Agora Ballroom before closing in 1983. The structure burned down in 1987. The 1969 Atlanta International Pop Festival was organized by a promotional team that included Chris Cowing, Robin Conant and Alex Cooley. Cooley was also one of the organizers of the Texas International Pop Festival a few weeks later on Labor Day weekend, as well as the second, and last, Atlanta International Pop Festival the following summer, and the Mar Y Sol Pop Festival in Puerto Rico from April 1–3, 1972.Alex Cooley died on December 1, 2015, at the age of 75. A photo of the stage at Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom featuring Ted Nugent performing appears on the back cover of his first solo album, Ted Nugent.

The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Midtown Atlanta, part of the Fox Theatre Historic District, was designed by architect William Lee Stoddart in a Beaux-Arts style that was intended to evoke the architecture of Paris. Construction commenced on July 21, 1910, and ended on September 8, 1911, and the hotel opened on October 2, 1911. The George C. Fuller Construction Company was contractor, and the developer was Joseph F. Gatins, Jr.A 19-story wing, designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart and Associates, was added in 1991. A major renovation was completed in 2009. The Georgian Terrace is a member of Historic Hotels of America, the official program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Ponce de Leon Apartments is a historic apartment building in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. A part of the Fox Theatre Historic District, the building is located at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue in midtown Atlanta. It was built by the George A. Fuller Company in 1913, with William Lee Stoddart as the building's architect. The building was designated a Landmark Building by the government of Atlanta in 1993.
