Fatima Mansions (housing)

Fatima is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Red Line. The stop is at the southern side of St. James's Hospital, adjacent to James's Walk. Fatima is named for its proximity to Fatima Mansions, a public housing complex. It provides access to the suburbs of Dolphin's Barn, The Coombe, and The Liberties. The stop has two edge platforms, and is of the same design as many Luas stops. After departing the stop, northbound trams turn left and traverse the grounds of the hospital on their way to Connolly or The Point. Southbound trams continue along an abandoned canal alignment, travelling towards Tallaght or Saggart. The stop is also served by Dublin Bus routes 122, 17, 68, and 68A.

St. James's Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Naomh Séamas) is a teaching hospital in Dublin, Ireland. Its academic partner is Trinity College Dublin. It is managed by Dublin Midlands Hospital Group.

Dolphin's Barn (Irish: An Carnán, meaning 'the (small) cairn or mound') is an inner city suburb of Dublin, Ireland, situated on the Southside of the city in the Dublin 8, and partially in the Dublin 12, postal district.

Rialto (Irish: Rialto) is an inner suburb of Dublin, situated on the city's southside. The area takes its name from the Harcourt Bridge, which was commonly known as the Rialto Bridge due to its resemblance to the shape of the bridge of that name in Venice.

Rialto is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Red Line. The stop is at the southern side of St. James's Hospital, adjacent to James's Walk, near the areas of Rialto and Kilmainham.At this point, the Red Line follows an old canal alignment: The Grand Canal was opened in 1779, running from James's Street near Dublin city centre, through Sallins and further west. In 1796, a branch of the canal was added which took a circular route around the city centre from Suir Road to the current Grand Canal Dock in Ringsend. The original mainline later closed and its alignment lay empty for many years until it was selected as part of the route for the Luas line.The stop is also served by Dublin Bus routes 68, 68a, and 122. Fatima is intended to be a stop on the proposed Luas line to Lucan.

The Coombe Women & Infants University Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Ollscoile Ban ⁊ Naonáin an Chúim) is a voluntary teaching hospital providing a range of medical services to both women and newborn infants in Dublin, Ireland. It is managed by Dublin Midlands Hospital Group.

The City Basin was a public reservoir and cistern constructed near St James' Street, Dublin around 1721 to supply the City of Dublin with water. The basin had various iterations before being supplemented primarily by the Blessington Street Basin on the North side of the city around 1810 and finally being replaced by a modern water system from Vartry Reservoir around 1869. The basin itself was later filled in and replaced by Basin Street Flats in the 1960s and Oisín Kelly park in the 1980s. The nearby Grand Canal Harbour also fell out of use around 1960 and was filled in soon after to be finally replaced by apartments in 2023.

It also provides access to the National College of Art and Design and Guinness Storehouse. The stop has two edge platforms, and is of the same design as many Luas stops. After departing the stop, northbound trams turn right onto James's Street on their way to Connolly or The Point. Southbound trams continue on their own right of way through the grounds of the hospital, with grass between the tracks, travelling towards Tallaght or Saggart. The stop is also served by Dublin Bus routes 13, 40, and 123.

A House of Industry was a workhouse in Dublin, Ireland which existed from its establishment by an act of parliament in 1703, "for the employment and maintaining the poor thereof". From 1729 the House of Industry also incorporated the foundling hospital.

The Foundling Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Foundling) was a hospital for abandoned children in Dublin, Ireland.

Bow Lane West (Irish: Lána na hUillinne Thiar) is a street in Dublin, Ireland.

As of 2019 an as-yet unnamed children's hospital is under construction on the campus of St. James's Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, as a regional secondary and national tertiary centre. Referred to in planning documents simply as the new children's hospital, it is due to combine the services currently provided at Dublin's three tertiary children's hospitals: Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin (formerly Our Lady's Children's Hospital); Children's Health Ireland at Temple Street (formerly Temple Street Children's University Hospital); and Children's Health Ireland at Tallaght (formerly the National Children's Hospital at Tallaght University Hospital). The hospital is planned to be the lead centre in the Children's Health Ireland network, which is proposed to encompass all acute paediatric services in Ireland. In addition to the main hospital at St James's, satellite centres are expected to operate attached to Tallaght Hospital and Connolly Hospital providing local urgent care and outpatient services.
