Esplanadi

The Statue of Johan Ludvig Runeberg is a statue dedicated to the Finland-Swedish author, national poet and priest Johan Ludvig Runeberg (1804–1877), designed and sculpted by his son Walter Runeberg (1838–1920). The statue is located in the Esplanadi park in Helsinki.

The Wasa-Aktie-Bank Building is an office building located at the corner of Eteläesplanadi and Kasarmikatu (Eteläesplanadi 12/Kasarmikatu 27) in the Kaartinkaupunki district of central Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland. It was originally built by Wasa-Aktie-Bank as its own office in 1898–99 and designed by Swedish-born architect John Settergren, then working for Grahn, Hedman & Wasastjerna, while Finland was still a Grand Duchy, territorially a part of the Czarist Russian Empire. The building is still used as a bank today, as the offices of Pohjola Varainhoito and the Royal Bank of Scotland.The architecture of the Wasa-Aktie-Bank Building has a Gothic flavor, inspired by the Renaissance palaces of Venice and Spain. A more direct model is the Hallwyl Palace in the center of Stockholm, designed by Isak Gustaf Clason and built from 1893 to 1898. The facade material used is Orsa sandstone, which was imported from Sweden's Taalainmaa. The coat of arms of Vaasa, referring to Wasa-Aktie-Bank's hometown, is carved into the upper part of the facade on the south (Esplanade) side. Originally, only the first floor of the building was used for offices and the other floors had luxurious apartments. In 1920, Wasa-Aktie-Bank merged into Suomen Liittopankki and later into Helsingin Osakepankki (HOP). The interior of the building was renovated several times between the 1930s and 1970s, when the apartments were converted to offices. After HOP, Svenska Handelsbanken's office has operated in the building, among others.

Savoy is a restaurant in Helsinki, Finland, located on the Eteläesplanadi street. The restaurant opened on 3 June 1937. It is located in a space designed by Finnish architects Aino and Alvar Aalto, and furnished by the company Artek, which they had founded two years earlier. It was renovated in 2019. The Savoy is considered a hallmark of Finish cuisine.The main restaurant hall of Savoy is long and narrow, resembling a tram or a saloon on a ship. The original functionalist interior has been mostly preserved: plywood, wood, slammed brick. The restaurant is also known by the nicknames "Aalto's stable", "giraffe stable" and "elephant stable". The windows on the restaurant hall on the street side have a view to the Esplanadi park. The ground floor has a celebration space. At the time of its opening in 1937, Savoy had four elevators and an air conditioning device keeping the hall clean of cigar smoke, which was unusual at the time.

Hotel Kämp (Finnish: [ˈkæmp]) is an historic hotel in Kluuvi, Helsinki, Finland. It is a member of Leading Hotels of the World.The hotel, originally built in 1887 by Carl Kämp, was designed by Theodor Höijer. The building was demolished and the facade was rebuilt in 1965. The headquarters of the bank Kansallis-Osake-Pankki (now part of Nordea) were situated in the building for almost three decades, until 1995. A major restoration project, started in 1996, culminated in the reopening of Hotel Kämp in 1999 as part of The Luxury Collection. A shopping centre, Kämp Galleria, was also opened within the same city block. Celebrities who have stayed at the hotel include Madonna, Shakira, Whitney Houston, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Backstreet Boys and Bruce Springsteen. Royal guests have included Queen Noor of Jordan and Emperor Hirohito of Japan.

The Phnom Penh Hotel is a hotel in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It has over 400 rooms and is located along Monivong Boulevard in the Central Business District of the city. The hotel has a number of notable restaurants including Le Palace Chinese Restaurant, the Little Sheep Hot Pot Restaurant which serves a selection of meats and seafood and the Zen Japanese Restaurant which specialised in Sushi.

The Nasdaq Helsinki, formerly known as the Helsinki Stock Exchange (Finnish: Helsingin Pörssi, Swedish: Helsingforsbörsen), is a stock exchange located in Helsinki, Finland. Since 3 September 2003, it has been part of Nasdaq Nordic (previously called OMX). After the OMX merger, it was referred to as OMX Helsinki (OMXH), then after NASDAQ's acquisition of OMX in February 2008, NASDAQ OMX Helsinki, and currently Nasdaq Helsinki.

Nylands Nation (NN) is one of the 15 student nations at the University of Helsinki, Finland's oldest, Swedish-speaking and established in 1643 at The Royal Academy of Turku. In 1828, the Academy moved to Helsinki taking the name "University" and Nylands Nation moved there along with the other Nations. Since 1904 the house of Nylands Nation, a building designed by Karl Hård af Segerstad, has stood at Kasarmikatu 40.

The Rikhardinkatu library is a public library in Kaartinkaupunki, Helsinki, Finland.

The Smolna is an Empire style building in the Kaartinkaupunki district of Helsinki, Finland. It is used as a banquet hall of the Cabinet of Finland and state visit meeting premises of the President and the Prime Minister.

The Pohjola Insurance building is the former headquarters of the Pohjola Insurance Company at Aleksanterinkatu 44 and Mikonkatu 3 in central Helsinki. Primarily designed by Gesellius, Lindgren & Saarinen and constructed in 1899–1901, it is a prominent example of Finnish national romantic architecture. It was acquired in 1972 by Kansallis-Osake-Pankki, now succeeded by Nordea.

Chez Dominique was a restaurant in Helsinki, Finland. The chef and owner was Hans Välimäki. The restaurant was located at Rikhardinkatu 4, and seated 50 people. The restaurant closed in October 2013.

Kluuvi (Finnish: [ˈkluːʋi]; Swedish: Gloet) is the commercial centre of Helsinki, Finland, and a neighbourhood in the Vironniemi district of Helsinki. The Helsinki Central railway station, Hotel Kämp and Hotel Arthur, the Helsinki main post office, the Stockmann and Sokos department stores, the Kluuvi shopping centre and the main offices of Finnish banks are located in Kluuvi. Kluuvi includes the central campus of the University of Helsinki, the Ateneum art museum, and the movie theatres Maxim, Kinopalatsi and Bristol. The northeastern part of Kluuvi, which includes the Kaisaniemi park, is commonly called Kaisaniemi, but it is not the official name of any neighbourhood in Helsinki. The neighbourhood is home to 23,000 jobs and several hundred inhabitants. The official name of the neighbourhood is very seldom used in everyday speech, Helsinkians usually refer to the area as "the centre" (keskusta) or "the core centre" (ydinkeskusta).
