Uniondale High School is a public high school located in Uniondale, Nassau County, New York, U.S.A., and is the only high school operated by the Uniondale Union Free School District. As of the 2014-15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,220 students and 153.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.5:1. There were 1,187 students (53.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 251 (11.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Kellenberg Memorial High School is a Roman Catholic college-preparatory school in Uniondale, New York, on Long Island, United States. Kellenberg Memorial is a Marianist school on Long Island, alongside St. Martin de Porres Marianist School in Uniondale and Chaminade High School in Mineola, New York.

Brookholt was a Gilded Age mansion on Front Street in East Meadow, Long Island, New York. It was built for Oliver and Alva Belmont in 1897. Designed by Richard Howland Hunt, the house was built in the Colonial Revival-style, rendered in wood. John Russell Pope designed a Georgian-style farmhouse on the property in 1906 also.

Uniondale is a hamlet and census-designated place in Nassau County, New York, on Long Island, in the town of Hempstead. The population was 32,473 at the 2020 United States Census. Uniondale is home to Hofstra University's north campus, as well as a portion of its southern campus.The community unsuccessfully tried incorporating itself as a village in the 1970s.

The James M. Shuart Stadium is an 11,929-seat multi-purpose stadium and sports facility, the facility serves as the home to Hofstra's lacrosse teams on the campus of Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. First opened in 1963, and remodeled in 1996 and 2013, it was known as Hofstra Stadium until August 29, 2002, when it was renamed after the former president of Hofstra University, who played lacrosse and football during his undergraduate years at the school. The stadium grounds include James C. Metzger Hall which houses the stadium's press box, luxury suites and the Fried Center for Student-Athlete Development.

The Frank G. Zarb School of Business, located at Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY, is noted for its dual AACSB accreditations in business and accounting. The school is named after alumnus Frank Zarb, '57 B.B.A., '62 M.B.A., who was the chair and CEO of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and a senior partner of Lazard Freres & Co. The current dean of the business school is Dr. Janet A. Lenaghan.

Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (or simply the Nassau Coliseum) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Uniondale, New York, east of New York City. The Long Island venue is approximately 7 miles (11 km) east of the eastern limits of the New York City Borough of Queens, and is also next to the Meadowbrook Parkway. Opened in 1972, the Coliseum occupies 63 acres (25 ha) of Mitchel Field, a former Army airfield, later an Air Force base. The facility is in the Town of Hempstead, within the Uniondale 11553 ZIP code. The Coliseum is used for sporting events, concerts, large exhibitions and shows as well as trade shows—44,000 square feet (4,100 m2) at the main arena, 60,000 at the Expo Center. In 2015, the arena was closed for a major renovation which was completed in April 2017. The New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL) played at the Coliseum from 1972 to 2015 before moving to Barclays Center in Brooklyn. After the move was commercially unsuccessful, the team split its home schedule between Barclays and the renovated Coliseum from 2018 to 2020 and played the home portion of their 2020–21 season at the Coliseum, before moving to the new UBS Arena at Belmont Park for the 2021–22 season, which is also on Hempstead Turnpike, 7.7 miles (12.4 km) west of the Coliseum. It was also the home of the New York Nets (now known as the Brooklyn Nets) of the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1972 to 1977. In 2017, the venue became the new home of the Brooklyn Nets' NBA G League team, the Long Island Nets. Currently, the New York Riptide of the National Lacrosse League and the Nets serve as the building's main tenants.

The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University (commonly known as Hofstra Law) is a law school located in Hempstead, New York on Long Island, affiliated with Hofstra University. Founded in 1970 and accredited by the ABA in 1971, the school offers a JD, a joint JD/MBA degree, and LL.M degrees in American Law (for foreign law graduates) and Family law. It also offers online LL.M and MA degrees in Health Law & Policy, an online LL.M in American Law, and an online M.A. in American Legal Studies. The Law School is on the southern portion of the 244-acre (0.99 km2) Hofstra University campus. The school was renamed to the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in September 2011.

The Hofstra University Arboretum (240 acres (97 ha)) is an arboretum located across the Hofstra University campus, in Hempstead, New York. Hofstra's campus is a member of the American Public Gardens Association, and is one of 430 arboreta in the United States.The Hofstra campus contains more than 12,000 evergreen and deciduous trees, representing 625 species and varieties of woody plants. The arboretum includes both native and exotic trees. A bird sanctuary has also been developed on two acres of land, serving as an educational prototype for the state of New York.

The Zucker School of Medicine is the graduate medical school of Hofstra University in the town of Hempstead on Long Island, in the U.S. state of New York. The academic institution was established in 2008 by Hofstra University and the North Shore-LIJ Hospital system which was rebranded as Northwell Health in 2015. The Zucker School of Medicine enrolls 99 students each year and offers an MD (doctor of medicine) and PhD (doctor of philosophy in the molecular basis of medicine). It also offers a joint MD—PhD degree; joint MD—MPH (Master of Public Health); joint MD—MBA (Master of Business Administration); and joint MD—OMS (oral and maxillofacial surgery). It also offers a dual-degree "4+4" program comprising an undergraduate degree (BA or BS) followed by automatic matriculation to the School of Medicine.

The David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, also known as Mack Sports Complex, or just "The Mack" for short, is a 5,023-seat multi-purpose arena in Hempstead, New York. Replacing the Hofstra Physical Fitness Center, the arena opened on January 2, 2000, as Hofstra Arena and was renamed for Mack in 2006.

The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication is the communications school at Hofstra University. It has 11 distinct degrees ranging from Journalism and Public Relations to Filmmaking and Radio Production. The school was named for alumnus Lawrence Herbert in 2013, for his career accomplishments including the invention of the Pantone system. The current dean is Mark Lukasiewicz, who was a former news executive for both ABC News and NBC News. 1,108 students are enrolled as of Fall 2016.The school is home to numerous programs, including WRHU, the school's radio station which has won numerous accolades, most notably four Marconi Radio Awards for College Station of the Year. The network has also been the radio home of the New York Islanders since the 2010–2011 season. Other notable programs include the HEAT Network, and the Hofstra Chronicle among others.
