Darite is a village in the civil parish of St Cleer (where the 2011 census population was included), Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is three miles (5 km) north of Liskeard.

Trethevy Quoit (Cornish: Koyt Tredhewi) is a well-preserved megalithic structure between St Cleer and Darite in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is known locally as "the giant's house". Standing 9 feet (2.7 m) high, it consists of five standing stones capped by a large slab and was added to the Heritage at Risk Register in 2017.

Tremar is a hamlet in the parish of St Cleer, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is about 1 km south of Darite and includes Lower Tremar and Venland Cross. From the early 1960s to the 1980s, it was the home of Tremar Pottery. Tremar had a population of 629 people in 2021.

Tremar Coombe is a small hamlet situated in the former Caradon District north of Liskeard in Cornwall. "Tremar" ("Trevargh") means "Mark's farm" or "Horse farm" in Cornish. It is considered an "industrial settlement" in that it was largely constructed during the mid-nineteenth century to accommodate workers at nearby mines and quarries and their families. The prefix Tre in Cornish stands for farm or homestead, and the word coombe comes from old English cumb, a narrow valley or deep hollow.

It is situated on the eastern flank of Bodmin Moor northwest of Caradon Hill approximately four miles (6 km) north of Liskeard. Minions is first recorded in 1613 and its meaning is unknown. A stone circle known as the Hurlers is located on the west side of the village. Several other tumuli are also in the area, including Rillaton round barrow, where a Bronze Age gold beaker was discovered. The Cheesewring, a distinctive rock formation, is a mile northwest. The village has embraced the coincidence that its name is now shared with the characters from the Despicable Me franchise.

Caradon Hill (Cornish: Bre Garn) is on Bodmin Moor in the former Caradon district of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The summit is 371 metres (1,217 ft) above mean sea level. Caradon Hill is on the southeastern edge of the moor; it is between the villages of Minions (northwest), Upton Cross (northeast), Pensilva (southeast) and Darite (southwest). The hill was once famous for its copper mines but these are now closed. The South Caradon Copper Mine, 1 km to the SW of the transmitter, was the biggest copper mine in the UK in its heyday in the second half of the 19th century. Other disused copper and tin mines are scattered around the base of the hill, including the Wheal Phoenix, well known among mineral collectors. The ruins of the Prince of Wales engine house are prominent at Wheal Phoenix. Granite was also quarried nearby. The mining area around the southwest base of the hill form part of Crow's Nest SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). The Caradon Hill transmitting station television mast is near the summit of Caradon Hill at grid reference SX 272 707.

The Caradon Hill transmitting station is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility on Bodmin Moor in the civil parish of Linkinhorne, located on Caradon Hill, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Liskeard, and 3⁄4 mile (1.2 km) south-east of Minions, the highest village in Cornwall (grid reference SX273707). Built in 1961, the station includes a 237.7 metres (780 ft) guyed steel lattice mast. The mean height for the television antennas is 603 metres (1,978 ft) above sea level. The site has a smaller towers used for telecommunications and a wireless internet signal. It is owned and operated by Arqiva. The South Caradon Copper Mine, 1,000 yards (0.91 km) to the SW of the transmitter, was the largest copper mine in the UK in its heyday, 150 years ago. Many other copper, tin and granite mines are scattered around the base of the hill.

Common Moor or Commonmoor is a hamlet in Cornwall, England. It is about a mile north of St Cleer. It does not have a public telephone box or post office but does have a letter box. The village meeting place in Commonmoor is a small village hall (purchased from the Methodist church). It is a very old mining village founded by the Davy family, traces of its past are still visible from placenames like "Davy's Row". It used to have a playground but it was closed around 2005 and the equipment moved to Upton Cross. It was closed because no one could really supervise the children playing thus it was in breach of health and safety regulations. With it being within the old borders of the defunct Caradon District Council it has some signs around the village with the council's name and logo on it they are mostly located within the Brake.

The Hurlers (Cornish: An Hurlysi) is a group of three stone circles in the civil parish of St Cleer, Cornwall, England, UK. The site is half-a-mile (0.8 km) west of the village of Minions on the eastern flank of Bodmin Moor, and approximately four miles (6 km) north of Liskeard.

The Pipers are a pair of standing stones near The Hurlers stone circles, located on Bodmin Moor near the village of Minions, Cornwall, UK. They share the name with another pair of standing stones near the Merry Maidens to the south of the village of St Buryan, also in Cornwall.

Rillaton Barrow (Cornish: Krug Reslegh) is a Bronze Age round barrow in Cornwall, UK. The site is on the eastern flank of Bodmin Moor in the parish of Linkinhorne about four miles (6 km) north of Liskeard. Rillaton Barrow was excavated in 1837 and found to contain a centrally-placed inhumation beneath the 25m wide barrow. The burial had been placed in a stone cist measuring 2m by almost 1m. Human remains were found along with grave goods including the Rillaton Gold Cup, a bronze dagger, beads, pottery, glass and other items.
