Cortlandt Manor is a hamlet located in the Town of Cortlandt in northern Westchester County, New York, United States. Cortlandt Manor is situated directly east, north and south of Peekskill, and east of three sections of the Town of Cortlandt, Croton-on-Hudson, Crugers, and Montrose. Most of the area is made up of residential homes. Cortlandt Manor also encompasses Cortlandt Estates.

Crompond is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located in the town of Yorktown in Westchester County, New York, United States. The population was 2,292 at the 2010 census.

Mohegan Colony was an intentional community based on New York's Lake Mohegan in Westchester County from 1923 to the 1950s.

Salt Hill is a 699-foot-tall (213 m) mountain in the state of New York. It is located southeast of Peekskill in Westchester County. In 1950, a 73-foot-tall (22 m) steel fire lookout tower was built on the mountain. The tower ceased fire lookout operations at the end of the 1971 fire season, due to the increased use of aerial detection. The tower was later cut down or pulled over by unknown individuals, and the remains are still on the summit.

The Cortlandt Town Center (formerly known as the Westchester Mall) is a large retail power center located in Cortlandt, New York. The New York Times called it "the main shopping area of the town of Cortlandt Manor" in 2003. The current incarnation (and name) was founded in 1997 from buildings that made up the mostly enclosed Westchester Mall built in 1975. Many new buildings were added as well, and it is currently a predominantly outdoor shopping center, eventually growing to approximately 772,000 sq ft (71,700 m2). Anchor stores include Walmart, The Home Depot, Best Buy, Acme Markets, Barnes & Noble, PetSmart, Michaels, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshall's, and DSW. It also contains a 12-screen United Artists Theater, GameStop, DressBarn, Five Below, Mattress Firm, the Mohegan Lake post office and several restaurants including McDonald's, Applebee's, Panera Bread, Subway, Five Guys, Emperor's Garden, Mia's Pizza and Moe's Southwest Grill. There are 3 vacant spaces last left by Modell's Sporting Goods, Pier 1 Imports, and OfficeMax. On March 11, 2020, it was announced that Modell's Sporting Goods would close as part of a plan to close all stores nationwide after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.On May 19, 2020, it was announced that Pier 1 Imports would be closing as part of a plan to close all locations nationwide.On January 19, 2023, it was announced that Regal Cinemas would close as part of a plan to close 39 theaters nationwide.

Mohansic State Hospital (also known as the Mohansic State Insane Asylum, and the Mohansic State Hospital for the Insane) was a hospital which existed near Yorktown Heights in Westchester County, New York.

Lake Mohegan, commonly known as Mohegan Lake, is a census-designated place (CDP) located in the Town of Yorktown in Westchester County, New York, United States. There is a private lake, Mohegan Lake, also known as "Lake Mohegan", with beaches which are occasionally closed for swimming due to harmful algal blooms.The town was home to several former summer bungalow colonies in the 1950s and 1960s. They included the Skyview Colony and Lakeview Colony off U.S. Route 6.

The Beecher-McFadden Estate is a historic estate located on East Main Street in Peekskill, Westchester County, New York.

Villa Loretto is a historic institutional building located at Peekskill, Westchester County, New York. It was built in 1928 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd for the housing and treatment of young delinquent women. It is a three to four story, "H" shaped brick building containing more than 175,000 square feet. The facility closed in June 1975. It has been converted to condominium residences known as Villa at the Woods. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Hudson Valley Islamic Community Center (HVICC) was founded by the local Muslim community in the Mohegan Lake area of Westchester County, New York. The current property was acquired on May 15, 2006. It features 7 acres of land and a 50,000 square foot Islamic Center.

Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park is a 960-acre (3.9 km2) state park in Westchester County, New York. Formerly known as Mohansic Park and Mohansic State Park, it is situated in Yorktown, approximately 40 miles (64 km) from New York City. The park was created in 1922 on the former site of the Mohansic State Hospital. The park includes two water bodies, Mohansic Lake and Crom Pond.
