Munkholm Bridge

Until 1 January 2007 Bramsnæs was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Roskilde County on the island of Zealand in East Denmark. The municipality, lying between Roskilde Fjord and Isefjord, covered an area of 80 km2, and had a total population of 9,391 (2005). Its last mayor was Flemming Jensen, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Kirke Hyllinge. To the east is Roskilde Fjord and to the west is Isefjord. The municipality was created in 1970 as the result of a kommunalreform ("Municipality Reform") that combined the following parishes: Gershøj, Hyllinge, Lyndby, Rye, Sonnerup, and Sæby parish. Bramsnæs municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Hvalsø and Lejre municipalities to form the new Lejre municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 240 km2 and a total population of 25,971 (2005). The new municipality belongs to the Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region"). Danish-American Islam scholar Patricia Crone (b. 1945) is a native of Kyndeløse Sydmark, Rye Parish.

Ejby is a town with a population of 1,988 (1 January 2023) in Lejre Municipality, Region Zealand in Denmark.

Aastrup is a manor house and estate in Elverdamsdalen, between Tølløse and Hvalsø, Lejre Municipality, some 40 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ryegaard is a manor house and estate in Lejre Municipality, Denmark. Ryegaard and neighbouring Trudsholm is owned by the Rosenkrantz/Skeel families since the year 1735. The two estates add up to a combined area of 1,228 hectares.

Tadre Watermill (Danish; Tadre Mølle) is a watermill on Taderød Bæk, a tributary of Elverdams Å, in Lejre Municipality, between Roskilde and Tølløse, some 30 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is now operated as a museum and nature centre under Roskilde Museum. It used to belong to Aastrup Manor.

Vipperød is a railway town located 4 km south of Holbæk on the northwestern part of the island of Zealand in Holbæk Municipality, Region Zealand in Denmark. It has a population of 2,571 (1 January 2024). Vipperød is located at the Danish national road 21 and is served by Vipperød railway station located on the railway line between Roskilde and Holbæk.

Tølløse is a railway town located in the northwestern part of the island of Zealand in Denmark. It has a population of 3,903 (1 January 2023).The town is located in Holbæk Municipality in Region Zealand and was the municipal seat of the former Tølløse Municipality until 1 January 2007. Tølløse is served by Tølløse railway station which located on the railway line between Roskilde and Holbæk, and is the terminus of the railway line from Tølløse to Slagelse, operated by Lokaltog A/S.

The municipality covered an area of 126 km², and had a total population of 9,832 (2005). Its last mayor was Poul Erik Jensen, a member of the Danish Social Liberal Party (Det Radikale Venstre) political party. The main town and the site of its former municipal council was the town of Tølløse. Tølløse municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Holbæk, Jernløse, Svinninge, and Tornved municipalities to form a new Holbæk municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 583 km² and a total population of 66,611 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Sjælland ("Region Zealand").

Tølløsegård, also known as Tølløse Castle (Danish: Tølløse Slot), is a former manor house and estate located at Tølløse, Denmark. It has since 1997 been operated as a school under the name Tølløse Slots Efterskole. The current main building was built after a fire in 1944.

Hvalsø is a town and a former municipality (Danish, kommune) in Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in east Denmark. The former municipality covered an area of 72 km2, and had a total population of 7,856 (2005). Its last mayor was Virginia Holst, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. She was the first foreign national becoming mayor in a Danish municipality.

Orø is a small island in Denmark located in the Isefjord within Holbæk Municipality. The island covers 14 km2 (3,500 acres) and has a population of 1,003 (as of 1 January 2023). There are four villages on Orø: Bybjerg, the largest village on the island with a population of 260 (1 January 2023), Brønde, Gamløse and Næsby. There is a ferry connection between Orø and Holbæk, and a cable ferry connects the island to Hammer Bakke (Hammer Hill) on the Hornsherred peninsula. It is a popular vacation area with some 1,200 summer houses.Orø Church dating back to the 12th century and Orø Museum, which depicts local life in the area, are both national monuments.
